Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Five Ways and nearby locations:

  • AntKaplan Can’t. Busy washing my hands. (@AntKaplan) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@jono_hayward Gosh they’re expensive. I’d look at Spintel if I were you. Their website UI is simply the worst, but I’m really happy with my NBN service through them, and they have fantastic pricing.

  • suburbiageddon Suburbiageddon (@suburbiageddon) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Only thing worse than no internet is slow & intermittent internet, been baud 14400 most of the day 😡😡 #nbn #tpg #uurrgghh

  • EFCcorrespond The Correspondent🔴⚫ (@EFCcorrespond) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus yet another nbn outage in Thornbury 3071... Can I have cable back please!!

  • grahamwkidd Graham W Kidd (@grahamwkidd) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@NBN_Australia I have been told by NBN via Telstra that this is an outage. I have an been open ticket with Telstra on this.

  • grahamwkidd Graham W Kidd (@grahamwkidd) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@NBN_Australia I'm currently working with 13 22 00 to figure out why NBN is not working. There is no smooth sailing.

  • AdisaLumi Lumi Adisa, PhD (@AdisaLumi) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

So, as it turns out, @NBN_Australia has come into my area connecting everyone pretty much except us. The most frustrating part is the disconnection of our ongoing ADSL service without ANY indication of when we'll be connected. Spent almost 2 hours talking to @NBN_Australia...

  • Hutton_Lab Craig Hutton (@Hutton_Lab) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@NBN_Australia Thanks for the tips @NBN_Australia, but the support I really needed was fibre to the premise! New coax was laid in my street to do HFC. FTTP would not have cost much more. There are physical limitations to copper and it can only be optimized so much.

  • travelphotos Travel Photos by Andrew (@travelphotos) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@NBN_Australia I have reported the issue multiple times for each occasion.

  • davecalmercoach DavidTheCalmerCoach (@davecalmercoach) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Well finally @NBN_Australia is working. After realising I was trying to login to the wrong wifi connection now I have to say currently it’s #awesome ... Let’s hope and pray (I’m not religious by the way) that it stays as good... 👏🏻

  • judgejosie jo girl (@judgejosie) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Jesus. I wouldn't trust any of the LNP with an app that stores my data. The NBN still hasn't arrived here and I am told it sucks.

  • gobergmoser Gabriel Bergmoser (@gobergmoser) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Top work from @VodafoneIN: postponing our NBN connection leaving our internet a crawl, not connecting on the rescheduled day (no explanation) and ensuring that their hold music is excruciating and populated with the same irritating messages to make you want to hang up. Brilliant.

  • travelphotos Travel Photos by Andrew (@travelphotos) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Aussie_BB @NBN_Australia Done, a few times this weekend for only some of the many times the service went down.

  • _KGreally Kate (@_KGreally) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

The line is physically broken since @NBN_Australia was installed and no one has been sent to fix it

  • spudhowley spudgun (@spudhowley) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@NBN_Australia ..pretty critical service, without having any say in the matter, is extremely frustrating. We just want our old Cable back.

  • grahamwkidd Graham W Kidd (@grahamwkidd) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@NBN_Australia I'm currently working with 13 22 00 to figure out why NBN is not working. There is no smooth sailing.

  • NickJohnstone2 Nick Johnstone (@NickJohnstone2) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Hey @rohan_connolly , we had a NBN tech come to our home and he couldn’t workout how to open an unlocked sliding gate. I wasn’t hopeful of a fix after that. And it wasn’t! Pathetic

  • Hutton_Lab Craig Hutton (@Hutton_Lab) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@DuttonChemistry @sjwill99 @gnljameson @p_schwerdtfeger A tangential issue, but Oz can never do online teaching properly with our half-baked NBN. 5 people in my house trying to do live sessions on Zoom/Teams through a single (newly laid) coaxial cable doesn’t work. We are ‘lagging’ in so many ways.

  • ellisoconnor 😷Champagne Dame of Oz 🥂 (@ellisoconnor) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@selga55 Yes as it was a condition of our NBN but we never answer it

  • Japandaman71 🇯🇵ジャパンダマン 🍐 ANIMAL CROSSING (@Japandaman71) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet Well your lack of service forced me onto NBN. It really isn’t acceptable to throttle my speed from double digits down to 1 or 3kbps...consistently over a number of years.

  • JohnnyLydon jk (@JohnnyLydon) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@WScetrine @abcnews What he did to the nbn was equivalent to using the worn out parts of old Holdens to build new cars to save money. Utterly stupid shortsighted and in the long run a waste of money. M

NBN Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • adriancantrill Adrian Cantrill (@adriancantrill) reported

I can't right now recommend anyone use @Aussie_BB with this lack of customer service and lack of communications with @NBN_Australia for updates - this is shocking.

  • adlevin Adam Levin (@adlevin) reported

@Telstra Any reason why the NBN speed is extremely slow in the Caulfield South area? This time of year, I would expect more from Telstra. Please explain

  • RellieDorset Rellie 🇦🇺 (@RellieDorset) reported

@JohnCoo28395857 I've heard from a tech that NBN is part of their "transmission" plan. It was never meant to work.

  • bennyisbored ___ addict (@bennyisbored) reported

mf nbn outage at 3 am

  • jiangyin Aeryn 🦉 🏳️‍🌈 🌻 (@jiangyin) reported

Parents' internet has been slower than it was before they moved, and today I found out why. They're not on the NBN anymore - they're back on ADSL. Though I never would have figured that out unless someone told me - I just thought they were a long way from their node.

  • GyroGordini 💧PeteG 2xVAX☀️🚙 (@GyroGordini) reported

@Ballyurra Rural: were frustrated at Telstra wireless NBN (never 50/25 - usually 5/3) over years, b4 trying iinet. Amazing improvement - same cell, different modem/company. Same price ($80) works beautifully. Had Starlink ordered, but cancelled, as current iinet ok, even while wfh.

  • JJojoroo Joey J Roo (@JJojoroo) reported

@DarkenTiger The NBN is the crux of every Aussie steamer. We may never know if we escape with mere dropped frames, or complete disconnection. Life on the edge.

  • bemusedoz Graeme Bond 💉💉💉 (@bemusedoz) reported

@Ballyurra @Ballyurra @Psyclaw Are you on Telstra NBN? Change your ISP and you will still be connected to the same infrastructure. It is most unlikely to have anything to do with your router. Are you on FTTN, HFC or what? That is most likely where your problem lies.

  • Ballyurra A very vaxxed Ray™ (@Ballyurra) reported

@bemusedoz @psyclaw HFC. Agree, the NBN network is the problem. I'm switching to an ISP that will answer the phone and talk about the problem instead of trotting out the Telstra party line. @launtel sound good.

  • taffyboycharlie martyncharlett (@taffyboycharlie) reported

@NBN_Australia NBN - Don't kid yourself!! your service is terrible and your customer service is worse!! your tradesman don't turn up and then you continue to keep pushing back connection dates. as a result I'm unable to operate my business!! PM me to resolve before I take this further
