Steve Smith (@Tikkaspecial) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
@Optus NBN down this morning. Website reports no issues at 2911.
-
Verner Verass (@VernVerass) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
@mephistojones Mephisto ~ the NBN is intentionally sub-standard: The original model of fibre to the premises will need to be retro-fitted ~ the NBN requires a rebuild to meet world standard service delivery.
-
Dave Hall aka Not Funny (@skwashd) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
Hey @andy_penn why won’t you fix phone lines in fire effected areas that will only get satellite NBN? These areas used to have decent ADSL. People can’t sign up for satellite because it’s over subscribed. Looking forward to your field team fixing this.
-
Ian McLeod (@ianpmcleod) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
@Deligracy No, this is closely guarded but what is wisely known is classifying the NBN as a commercially entity, to keep it off the national books (making them look better) means nodes are up to 500m distant. Upgrading to fibre won't fix NBN pricing (congestion) as a result either.
-
HG (@hgo7627) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
@JmarrMarr Apparently we now can — by engaging @NBN_Australia to provide fibre to the home. Because of my crap service I got a quote. Sadly, I won’t get my crap service improved — quote was more than $5k.

Josh Withers (@JoshuaWithers) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
@jendudley @eliotharper In the months before we were allowed to switch, NBN staff told me that we were already on the NBN network, they would change everyone slowly, then once all were converted, you could switch.

💧Dave Lazzari (@fenham) reported from Queanbeyan, State of New South Wales
@SwannyQLD @colleenhm They will never admit to making a real *****-up of the #NBN and that they spitefully screwed it because it's never been a #LibNat strength to improve things like national infrastructure. All they see is money being spent with no obvious benefits. They suffer from extreme myopia

Bridget Tilley (@bridgettilley) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
Hi @Telstra I just received a robo call telling me my internet will be disconnected today to fix a problem ( I don’t have a problem). I’m an @iiNet customer with @NBN_Australia in Belconnen area Canberra. Could you pls advise ?

Clark Greenaway🇦🇺 (@ClarkGreenaway) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
@Angela60650391 @juliemonry @ABCaustralia With NBN there isn't even that need anymore. I have been receiving gov updates via my mobile phone provider not the ABC at all. All commercial broadcasters ate required to provide community service announcements. Their is no longer a need for the ABC.

Madam M (@Mdm_Fahrenheit) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
Hey @NBN_Australia fix your system issues and stop rejecting orders so I can have the internet at my new house! People are trying to work from home you know.
-
Lindsay (@Lindday8) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
@Telstra NBN speed slow and dropping out in Flynn act is there issue
-
Bernadette Carbin (@BeCarbin) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
@AusIndiMedia Your NBN couldn’t be that slow could it??
-
Dave Hall aka Not Funny (@skwashd) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
@gusworldau @NBN_Australia It’s frustrating when you know more about the problem than the person copying and pasting boilerplate yet you’re powerless to fix it.
-
Cherelle Murphy (@cherellemurpfry) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
NBN capacity lifted to help those who can work from home to do so.
-
Garth Morrison (@garth_morrison) reported from Queanbeyan, State of New South Wales
@NBN_Australia Response from NBN - ‘Go to your service provider’ 🙄 They’ve been on it for months guys. You’re the hold up.
-
steve_outandabout (@Steve_Pesic) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
Everyone giving scomo grief for leadership but the bosses from Telstra and NBN should be high on the list for poor leadership, thousands of people with no phones or internet, hours, days, weeks and months spent by people just trying to use a service in Australia in 2020...
-
Ian (@Ian__P) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
@ajamesbragg @AlboMP I'd raise the issue of #NBN advertising which seems wasteful and pointless given they aren't retailing to consumers directly.
-
RepublicanRoz #SaveOurABC💧 (@AussieRoz) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
@JaneCaro @NBN_Australia Just send a tweet about The Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman NBN suddenly played nice. So did my provider. I got my own support person!!
-
Clark Greenaway🇦🇺 (@ClarkGreenaway) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
@theoztrucker The subs don't make a lot of sense and the NBN was always a disaster, a Rolls Royce limo instead of a bus service. The Snowy I don't know, seems to make sense. The fighter aircraft are necessary but not themselves. They are for reasons no one wants to voice.
-
Adam (@sargentsarto) reported from Queanbeyan, State of New South Wales
@mrbargearse @PuntHubAus The issue is the poor level that the NBN brings in country areas.. it is simply ordinary. Pay for 100% get less than 1% in peak periods. This is the issue for the streaming argument. The infrastructure is woeful.

@Real_Don_Easter @kayo Yes I clear cache, delete and download app. Can’t be NBN bc Netflix works perfectly.. For some reason if I try to do it from phone it won’t let me- get sound but no picture- used to work okay.. I think the app has issues with Apple TV. I’m not alone looking at complaints.
-
Thejas (@Jazz_CB) reported
@optus_help hi my nbn connection is down and I definitely need an nbn technician (the connection light is red and the box is clicking). Can I get some help? The chatbot on the app tried to book and nbn appointment (and even shared a potential date). But then it failed and it …

MA & PA FARMERS 2.0 (@lutajobe) reported
@mrl58 @Telstra @NSWNationals We have no landline for some reason. Telstra said would be back on 29/3. We don’t have mobile reception either. But I still have nbn…just. We went back to copper for landline . So not sure why we don’t have service
-
Gerry Payne (@gerrypayne) reported
@Peacemaker811 @StevenOrlando87 @ElijahSchaffer The reason our internet sucks is because in 2013 we voted out Labor, who were going to install a state of the art NBN, & voted in the LNP, who installed a 3rd world dogs breakfast of an NBN.
-
Thiago Moura (@ThiagoVMMoura) reported
@BelongAU @NBN_Australia internet down again at my home since 6PM and the site doesn't mention any outage. This is happening very frequently, last time was less than 30 days ago and it took 4 days to be restored... Lane cove 2066

@TPG_Telecom @NBN_Australia our nbn is down again in Rowville again? Why does this keep happening? Always after 4pm and never fixed before midnight. When will it be up again?
-
Jackie She/her (@JackieAdamson78) reported
NBN outage from the storm last night (that’s what my service provider has said). Last time we lost internet from a storm it took a week to get it back on. I hope this doesn’t happen again. Too much Uni work to do! And I have the weekend off so hoping to get into it.

Shaun Ruigrok @Shaun_R@aus.social (@Shaun_R) reported
Hey @Telstra and @MSFT365Status have you broken something? Telstra NBN users IP addresses in Melbourne, Australia are suddenly geolocating to Tashkent, Uzbekistan according to Microsoft 365!
-
Steve Orlando (@StevenOrlando87) reported
@gerrypayne @Peacemaker811 @ElijahSchaffer Definitely didn’t help. And with NBN having a virtual monopoly on the business…. Hell none of the companies were even monitoring their speeds.

Aspen Brown (@AspenSilvertide) reported
@katebcarp Such a bummer! I loved Zencaster when doing NBN, and it never failed!! Sorry to hear about the interview!
