NBN Issues Reports Near Hall, Australian Capital Territory

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Hall and nearby locations:

  • Mirandaprorsus Allan Behm (@Mirandaprorsus) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@mjrowland68 @BreakfastNews Have endured weeks of very slow NBN speed, < 6 Mbps. The techo came, opened the Telstra pit to find 60 yr old copper encased in lead, and broken wires. So much for Tinkering Turnbull’s fibre to the node.

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

HFC is a black hole - you can't model a national communications network off what a commerical entity has done overseas #nbn There objective is to keep it above water.

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Poor capacity management at the #nbn drop in tent at #CanberraShow by @NBN_Australia - already out of #StressBalls Totally devo 🤣😂😂😂 Not surprised that NBN keeps on disappointing

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@czuio @NBN_Australia @Deborah_ONeill I could see no reason why it couldn't for exactly the point you make. You could also simplify it and include a UNI-V like port for a voice service (VoDSL) and a simple diagnostic page to indicate line sync etc. @NBN_Australia need to consolidate the end point to simplify it

  • AlexDunnin alex dunnin (@AlexDunnin) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@DendyCanberra big problems with the movie system tonite. It’s like they’re streaming it thru a dodgy NBN connection and the buffering is on dial-up. So bad they’ve just rebooted the system. Extraordinary.

  • ClarkGreenaway Clark Greenaway🇦🇺 (@ClarkGreenaway) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@StevensAsh @DavidSo24895212 Yes Labor did say $41b to build their gold plated NBN. Of course they never built it so we don't know how much it really would have cost. The LNP version was cheaper yet has cost a lot more. I'm certain if Labor had built their version it would have been over $100B.

  • Ctl_Alt_Del CtlAltDel (@Ctl_Alt_Del) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

    Crap NBN #PromiseOfAustralia

  • TravGee1980 Travis (@TravGee1980) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

.@HankJongen @Telstra uses this technology. I have made 19 calls to them since August 2018 about reconnecting our work landline and cancelling #NBN They have a record of 3. This is not about improving customer service. It's about compliance & surveillance. #Auspol #Satanlink

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@NerdyNigel @AfraidOfWidths @SenatorFifield @SteveAustinABC @AUSenator @TurnbullMalcolm @NBN_Australia Maybe he is one of the 5% with a dodgy modem 😂🤣 - suspect the Modem firmware is the least of @NBN_Australia problems, but I bet they spent a shitload of resources to come to the same conclusion we have had for the last 7 years.. that MTM will burn money in maintaince. #nbn

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Hey @Kynes3 - your notification announcement time and customer service is better than @NBN_Australia - posted 48 mins ago

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@DonWestley1 @TheCalebBond @theMickMorris @SkyNewsAust @Foxtel Yep, you will probably find I have tweeted that video a few times already ;) It must be tricky to do a story for SkyNews on the #NBN without loosing you job by blaming the Libs - words were carefully chosen to make the entire NBN concept look bad...it's not, obviously.

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@delpjm @sando88 @Snow_Crash @WirelessDuck @NickRossTech @NickITGuy @Kynes3 @boyter @playswithf1re @BrowntownBrew And the lower density and further reach requirements for Australia is the REASON to use last mile deep fibre networks. If I had a dollar everytime I had to defend that stupid excuse ...#nbn

  • drdavebond David Bond (@drdavebond) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@RodericChambers I think they must have the #NBN here, the network is somewhat slow

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Guarantee #NBN have the latency and packet loss data on its microwave links. They have it @AUSenator . It's basic Network management

  • TheGrumpyGamer1 The Grumpy Gamer (@TheGrumpyGamer1) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

I cannot wait till our NBN connection goes live!!! Hopefully only a few more weeks of this crap. And if anyone wants to share this with The Signal Co, go nuts, cause apparently I’m a rude and difficult to deal with, so they’ve blocked me on Twitter!

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@NBN_Australia @naomi_t_81 Honestly after you add up all the work required to retrofit the last 1000m of old Telstra phone cabling and fixing issues with customer cabling it becomes much more expensive than the original project scope of fibre to 93% without the constant maintenance bill #nbn

  • DesignLindsay Christian Lindsay (@DesignLindsay) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@NBN_Australia I rely on the internet for my design business The lack of reliable service puts my income and ability to service customers at risk I'd appreciate a plan to fix the issue. One obvious step is to relocate to a closer pit

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

    @jakegriffiths @NBN_Australia @SenatorFifield @MRowlandMP @AUSenator Only three weeks ago you say - consistency is pretty bad from @NBN_Australia #NotSurprised #ausvotes

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

How can #NBN claim its own last mile design doco for Fttx is CiC (CommercialInConfidence).Half of it has been leaked already & who else is going to build out a national network in Australia 🤔 Playing hard ball with FOI constantly, need a big stick. @NBN_Australia @OAICgov

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@sulrich70 @NBN_Australia @Deborah_ONeill If @NBN_Australia took a more risk managed approach with MTM design they should have gone with a connection agnostic endpoint. It would solve so many of this issues with renters and those that move around. Once again KISS was ignored #nbn

  • Power_Age23 Pat (@Power_Age23) reported

NBN outage in Canberra for me. Mobile network light green. Blue light on modem. @Telstra

  • inter_miki Milan 🇦🇺🇷🇸 (@inter_miki) reported

@GrogsGamut And yet the performance in these government ran businesses sucks. NBN you have to use your third party provider to get them to come out. Government run businesses sucks (look at the old SA State bank for how not to run a business)

  • P_bogan Sir Peter the Bogan (@P_bogan) reported

@QuentinDempster Just a heads up. I got Labor's Fibre to the Home NBN. I have a 1Gbit yes GIGABIT connection to the Internet. For $99/mth. Imagine if we all had a GIGABIT connection. That NEVER breaks down. LABOR.

  • TPG_Telecom TPG (@TPG_Telecom) reported

@GuoShixi Hi Shixi, are you back online? Is it marked as resolved in the NBN website, but still not able to use the service? If that's so, kindly DM us for further checking and see what we can do to resolve this as soon as possible.

  • Steveisthedevil Steve (@Steveisthedevil) reported

  • Power_Age23 Pat (@Power_Age23) reported

  • TWlSTIES Twisties (@TWlSTIES) reported

@NBN_Australia @nokia Internet has been down for two almost 3 days, what could have happened to take this long to get us back up and running? Contacted ISP and they said it's not up to them

  • Saphod Marco Luthe (@Saphod) reported

Dear @Telstra, there was a short power outage in Doncaster East VIC 3109 on Sat 3 Dec. Since then, our internet seems to behave weirdly again, as it always seems to do after a power outage. Let me explain (again).👇 (1/7) @NBN_Australia

  • BrowntownBrew Cdbrown (@BrowntownBrew) reported

@Pelosi1350 @starlink The FTTP #nbn had a strong business case, that's why nbn pushed LNP to allow them to move people off fttn to fttp as it was the only profitable part of the network. The current mess of techs had no business case
