NBN Issues Reports Near Hobart, State of Tasmania

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Hobart and nearby locations:

  • AnthonyPress Tony Press (@AnthonyPress) reported from Tinderbox, State of Tasmania

@NBN_Australia 1. These slow speeds are common across different service providers in the district. 2. The many times I’ve pursued this topic it becomes a duck-shoving exercise: NBN Co. says it’s the service provider; the service provider says it’s lack of capacity at the NBN tower.

  • TasGreg Greg C (@TasGreg) reported from Hobart, State of Tasmania

@BevanShields @AntonEnus "But has no modelling to support the claim" Just like Direct Action emission reduction or the cost of ALP NBN or the $660billion ALP debt blowout etc etc #FreePassToBS

  • ollie_bo Ollie Roberts (@ollie_bo) reported from Hobart, State of Tasmania

@NBN_Australia An update: called @Optus who transferred us to @NBN_Australia who then told us that there is an outage in the Sandy Bay (Tasmania) area and that the internet would be on in 4 hours (9pm last night). 9pm has been and gone. Standard troubleshooting, eg reboot hardware, etc & nada!

  • ollie_bo Ollie Roberts (@ollie_bo) reported from Hobart, State of Tasmania

@Optus @NBN_Australia Currently on hold to Optus & online chat. We’ve been told the relocation request we put in doesn’t exist, even though it is in multiple chat threads with Optus who said they’d arrange this. They recognised that our service was previously working, just not with the speed boost WTF

  • maxitaxi3333 Queen MaxiTaxi #FreeAssange (@maxitaxi3333) reported from Hobart, State of Tasmania

Exactly, exactly, exactly! If the Labor NBN had gone through, it would be finished by now, NBN FTTP would be there without copper wire problems and, I cannot go on about how bad this decision was. And the cost of FTTP would have been equal to this mess. @TurnbullMalcolm

  • suzanne_cass 💧Suzanne Cass ☘️☘️🇮🇪 (@suzanne_cass) reported from Hobart, State of Tasmania

@NickRossTech @NBN_Australia My FTTN is crap. My ADSL was faster.

  • leah_galvin Leah Galvin 🍎🍒🥑🥦🥕🌽🌰🍓🧀 (@leah_galvin) reported from Hobart, State of Tasmania

Wow an NBN outage down till Sunday 6th October!!! It's school holidays and teenagers are struggling. Oh books and outside look good @Telstra

  • LilMrPotatoHead Littlemrpotatohead (@LilMrPotatoHead) reported from Hobart, State of Tasmania

@OptusSport We'd love to enjoy @OptusSport however our @Optus nbn is down for 24-48 hours 👍

  • feelingswell Robert Gavin (@feelingswell) reported from Hobart, State of Tasmania

@NBN_Australia @Farmgate138 I like that “experiencing some issues” have had NBN for some years now. We quickly found the baseline service was crap and upgraded to the next level - which is great when it works, but reading the fine print, NBN only warrant it will work for 2mins annually

So I’m meant to be WFH today so I slept in, only to wake up with a text message saying our NBN and 4G are going to be on and off all day bc of emergency works ahahaha *******

  • TThetabbycat Tom TheTabbyCat (@TThetabbycat) reported

@missrobinson It depends what “things” they have in mind. Some might be confused as to what level of government does what. Some might want a juicy spot of barrelled pork. Others have some genuine federal level issue that particularly presses hard there locally (e.g. bad NBN, etc)

  • AngelaWallisM1 Angie W M (@AngelaWallisM1) reported

@NBN_Australia @bachovski At first it wouldn't connect at all just north of Woolgoolga, now it's agonisingly slow. The NBN service here is atrocious: always slow. Welcome to technology in Australia.

  • MateBrilliant Brilliant Mate (@MateBrilliant) reported

NBN outage for large area of Hughesdale 3166 not resolved after 24 Hours. This is not service in any form.

@PaulHaw76924422 @BenWoodSay @SenatorWong You have no idea. 5G is ****, not super fast, is slowed by congression and distance. Starlink is owned by Musk and is even slower. And US has 1 Gbps fibre for cheaper than NBN crap in Aus. The US is also bigger than Aus. LNP ****** it up, Australia has ******** internet

  • ytc8438 Ty (@ytc8438) reported

@PaulHaw76924422 @BenWoodSay @SenatorWong Already did. School Halls, upgraded the Hume Highway, Pacific Highway, Bruce Highway, built the Interstate Rail Network. Why did the LNP wreck the NBN? They've done nothing, but destroy, destroy, destroy. The county's turned into an absolute ******** with 3rd world internet.

  • ericlindsay Avoid crowds, interiors, chatting. Eric Lindsay (@ericlindsay) reported

@ElMuggs I can’t imagine any reason why Services Australia would want to contact me. However sometimes government bodies decide they should help out somehow even without contact. You found a better page to look up than I did. Mind you, NBN died here around 10 a.m.

  • cscviews Christine Phillips 💧🔥😷 🐀 👿Bots Trots✳️✳️✳️ ✳️ (@cscviews) reported

@oakenchair Hope it will be … if Labor fix Medicare and increase the pay rate for GPs which hasn’t shifted under the LNP you might see some willing to move. Improving the #NBN and regional infrastructure will also help. Take care
