@emzy567505 Since nbn is a wholesaler every provider has basically the same infrastructure to rent and telcos can't really control the service just rent it, by going 5g they nown their own networks again, unless you have direct fibre or HFC, commercial 5G is the future I'd say.

@skepticdropbear Yeah What a lot of ppl don't realise is that you still can get a home phone number with the NBN & you don't need to have a "plan" for it I've got home number/phone just don't use it for out going calls so no costs What's really bad though is that when the power dies it goes out

Hi @MRowlandMP congrats on your key position in the govt! Just would like you to know that there is a major flaw with NBN providers in Oz...if you sign on to a new provider, most give you no cooling off period to get out if their service doesn't suit you.

@NBN_Australia No I am not. It’s been out since 6am Sunday morning. It was meant to be restored by 7am today. @telstra have been useless with their help and cannot provide info on when it will be restored! Impossible to WFH when isolating from Covid. Now I lose a days pay! Unacceptable in OZ!!!

@tinettitv @C73300833Clark @knnott Imagine if comm bank and telstra were still in govt hands. NBN would of never had to happen as all that work would of been done anyway. Banks would have to compete with a govt guided bank. We have been screwed by successive LNP govts. Privatisation never good for the people.

From what I can tell, @TPG_Telecom's #nbn installation in the area I'm in is Fibre-to-the-Sewer. Paying $145 per month for 250Mbps down, which at no time of day or night exceeds 50Mbps. Surprisingly, the upload isn't bad, @~35Mbps, but that's why I'm paying so much.

@NBN_Australia @Aussie_BB is an absolute embarrassment how Australians put up with a sub par internet rivalling a Third world country amazes me such a huge Opportunity for @BoostAus and 5G fixed wireless service... Time we launched to save consumers from the Nbn disaster.
