  @jera_nichols @jackieaus @Starlink I'm Northern Beaches Sydney. The slightest change in the weather or HAARP signals - Chem Trails, all affect the signal which drops out as a result. It also drops out at 6.15pm EST most evenings. I run another NBN service in tandem as I run an internet based business from home.

  @TheLucidyn @Batman2242 No, it was a very bad idea, the original OPAL idea was excellent, a public private partnership to lift rural speeds up to that of the cities and was costed at about $4 billion. Rudd screwed that up with massive mission creep and created the NBN.

  @FarCueCunce Contractor for NBN Co. My olds were hooked up 10yrs ago and while they used the existing Telstra conduit to the house, the inside install was terrible - left a big hole in the wall behind the NTU, which let spiders into the house until I found it years later and patched it up.

  @leftright314 The nbn was dead before it even started. Putting a 1970's tech in the ground in the 2000's was retarded. But now we are going to waste more money trying for peak retard. Putting up a 3rd rate satellite network with a bloke who rockets blow up before launch. Typical labor.

  @NBN_Australia I reported to my isp and all they can do is pass on to me the information that NBN gives them. That there’s a known issue and that a technician was sent out. But so far no estimate on when network will be restored.

  @Starlink @SpaceX If you are in a city or suburb with good NBN or 5G, this is a terrible deal. If you are in a remote rural area with no other options, it's a great service - but you should expect to pay $139/month, not $75, and you must remember to return the dish if you cancel.

  @VoteLewko @Starlink If Australia’s state-owned NBN Sky Muster satellite network becomes completely obsolete compared to Starlink, the entire country becomes dependent on the decisions of a private, foreign corporation.

  @pigways @Batman2242 NBN satellites have been in service since 2013 that provided a significantly improved service for remote and regional areas. Starlink only arrived in the last few years. Perhaps Amazon was able to meet the design and contract requirements set by #nbn and starlink couldn't.
