Roads, Rails, NBN (massive cost) gas water bla bla - we pay for that… it didn’t magically appear without our tax funds, we also pay continue to pay for this and budget blowouts. NBN has *way* more customers to spread the infra costs over. If anything, fibre should be cheaper in Australia than NZ, surely?

Aldis Ozols 🇦🇺 Official Source (@ozols_aldis) reported@Hector_Herrick @Antiwoke7777 @OMGTheMess We had problems with our fibre-to-the curb NBN. their tech discovered that our old copper line was still connected to the exchange, and that was interfering with the copper line from the fibre to the house. Disconnected the old exchange line, and all was well.

Perhaps if the government invested in standing up a government owned charger network that had a sound business case and sold it later, that might be ok. However, that was what NBN was supposed to do with internet...

In Qld Miles had a 'Labor back of coaster' (remember Rudd and NBN) idea that Labor would have state owned/run petrol stations.

Telstra is worth $62b right now. This was an excellent deal for Australia. Kevin Rudd introducing the NBN has nothing to do with Howard and Costello and it was also only $11b. Idiot

Their business was reliant on - Roads and Transport infrastructure - Electricity infrastructure - Police and Emergency services - NBN And many other services afforded through their taxes.
