@Benny489 @DoctorKarl They are no longer powering the network anymore as it has all been cutover to the NBN fibre backbone . Thats why Payphones are free. They cant monitor them anymore on digital links. If anything the fuel tanks would be breaking down under the floors

@johnb78 Oh don’t even get me started. Top of the ice berg are builders and states who refuse to connect to the NBN picking a small business fibre operator for their building only giving them monopoly over the essential service of internet access..Yep. It is a thing.

@carolduncan Uncle in Melbourne had repeated disconnects/faults requiring reboots. He had a copper lead in much longer than average - diagonally across an intersection, down power pole and along street to pit (> 50m). NBN replaced the copper with like (new) and performance is much better.

@NBN_Australia The fix is simple (shift the node) and only @NBN_Australia can do this. Stop palming this issue off.

@crikey_news @MargotSaville An utterly useless PM who was out of his depth, feathered his friends’ nests, gave us half- baked schemes like the copper “it’s cheaper” NBN while wasting millions on unsolicited grants, and did nothing for the greater good of our country. He was never leadership material.

@jaycee53195200 The speed was good but they posted the modem to my old house then sent an NBN tech here and told him a completely different story about what was wrong. Had to wait 4 days for internet so I tried to switch to TPG and they made it almost impossible to cancel my plan!

More details are expected over the coming days as Labor fleshes out the details of their proposed scheme, which is designed to help with housing affordability – but could actually serve to fuel demand and drive prices higher. Sounds like the NBN. #Auspol #Labor
