Honestly, the worst thing about working from home is dealing with NBN, or more accurately, NBN outages. 🙄

  • CarlOZ74 CarlOZTeves (@CarlOZ74) reported from Central Coast, State of New South Wales

@NBN_Australia We did log a call with our ISP and they in turn got informed that an NBN technician was going to come out today between 8-12 only for NBN to cancel it! I am trying to be patient and work but between 1pm and 2pm the connection has dropped out 9 times and it’s still going on!

  • njubi_eric Njubi Ng’ang’a 🇰🇪 (@njubi_eric) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

I moved into #Telstra 7 days ago and I promise you their nbn is the worst. Speeds of 7 mbps is just unheard of. Piece of advice to anyone planning to join Telstra DON’T

  • josundq josund (@josundq) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@factanonverba69 but the second biggest failure was Malcolm’s fibre to the node NBN network

  • Type217 Dean Hanilton (@Type217) reported from Central Coast, State of New South Wales

Almost 2 hours got get Telstra Big Pond wombles to reset the NBN password. And I know what I’m talking about ... good luck if youre not network savvy. No I don’t want to use your shitty router, I want to use my good one

  • fat_lenny Lenny (@fat_lenny) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@DuhigLisa @NBN_Australia @Telstra I actually love having the business run from hone. Been doing it for years and have a dedicated office. Constant issues with the NBN though really hurt and you are powerless to do anything. Into day 2 of no work, about to head to Telstra.

  • lazytraveldays Lazy Travel Days ✈️ ⛴ 🚘 (@lazytraveldays) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@adamajacoby NBN intentionality shit to benefit Murdoch

  • abbeeblu Abbee 👽 (@abbeeblu) reported from Central Coast, State of New South Wales

I am LIVID I have been calling @TPG_Telecom for TWO MONTHS straight now trying to organise my nbn to be installed. The last 4 phone calls I’ve made I’ve just asked for a refund because they can’t provide me service. Putting my Karen pants on, this is ridiculous

  • dapoppagraham Jacko (@dapoppagraham) reported from Central Coast, State of New South Wales

The problem isn't that Medicare needs multiple changes. It's that Medicare was a Labor initiative, inevitably! LNP, reactively once again, but once again, as with so many reactions ie. the NBN rollout, superannuation, etc. , determined to destroy what sticks in their craw!

  • debra_mcgrath Debra McGrath (@debra_mcgrath) reported from Central Coast, State of New South Wales

@AlboMP Our NBN goes down whenever it is going to storm.

  • adlrope Adam Rope (reality is stranger than fiction) (@adlrope) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@Qldaah @Telstra David, if have nbn connection then Telstra only service provider. nbn co own & maintain network. Telstra technical support can investigate but if underlying issue is network, nbn co responsible. If nbn co state 'no fault found', then service provider no power coerce nbn action

  • RoyanWg Billy back in the black n broke HALLELUJAH (@RoyanWg) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@LesStonehouse Nothing about the shit NBN that the LNP/IPA Government has foisted upon the public instead of the world leading broadband it was supposed to be we are left with the inadequate bastardized system that Malcolm Turnbull/Abbott gave us

  • richardmissingh richard missingham (@richardmissingh) reported from Central Coast, State of New South Wales

@TurnbullMalcolm @RNBreakfast That's like the only problem with the NBN is we thought you knew what you were doing ..

  • NigelBill Nigel Mullen (@NigelBill) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@exetel @chuggins9000 @NBN_Australia Thanks Rehan, but it is not an Exetel problem, all my neighbours have the same problem. NBN Co decided not to deluver high speed internet infrastucture to our Adamstown Heights area.

  • NigelBill Nigel Mullen (@NigelBill) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@NBN_Australia It is not a fault. It is a NBN design issue. If a house is 1.2km in cable length from a Node, can they expect 80mb or more in connection speed. Very simple yes/no answer is all that is required.

  • Blakehepworth Blake Hepworth (@Blakehepworth) reported from Central Coast, State of New South Wales

@TPG_Telecom internet just went down in kincumbrr nsw. No planned maintenance. Is this an nbn issue? Always seems to happen late night

  • gregorymckenna Greg McKenna (@gregorymckenna) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@hef_mark I’ve been running off my phone with no problems while kids doing online classes on NBN - no issues at all 👍

  • tony4newcastle Tony Brown (@tony4newcastle) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

My Telstra nbn broadband network has been down all day from an alleged cyber attack

  • CarlOZ74 CarlOZTeves (@CarlOZ74) reported from Central Coast, State of New South Wales

@NBN_Australia are there any updates with the issues that are occurring on the Central Coast (2257)? I’ve been dropping out every 10 mins for at least 2mins. I’m meant to be working from home, but this is unacceptable!

  • simon300376 Simon H (@simon300376) reported from Central Coast, State of New South Wales

@TPG_Telecom NBN dropouts again, persistently having same problem and now customer service directs to online chat, which is hopeless when your internet is down. Hopeless TPG. Am going to churn.

NBN Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • __rymac Ryan (@__rymac) reported

Been doing some mobile phone and NBN provider research and made the jump. Sure I may miss 5G. But I’m not going to argue with 15GB, unlimited calls in AU, and unlimited calls to 15 countries all on the Telstra network for $29.90/month.

  • everglaves 🌸Everglaves🌸Vtuber: Pre-Debut (@everglaves) reported

Internet update: literally zero word from NBN on the whole technician thing. It’s been almost an entire month now without my service.....

  • adamcfreeman Adam Freeman (@adamcfreeman) reported

Internet via NBN all day and showing as an outage I am also hearing many others are having a problem

  • Aussie_BB Aussie Broadband (@Aussie_BB) reported

@MagzGTV @NBN_Australia @ACCAN_AU Hey Magz - have you given our customer service team a call on 1300 880 905? If so, would I be able to grab your fault reference number so I can take a look at this for you? Kindest, Lizzie

  • gohawks03 Jane French (@gohawks03) reported

Not sure if its @Telstra or @NBN_Australia working in Jacka St Macleod today but it would be good to get notice if you are going to interrupt our service. I lost connection on the middle of an meeting. Not OK!

  • KatDruer TheMarketingGurl (@KatDruer) reported

Just had a great @NBN_Australia tech here. Yes, it’s 12 months later than someone should have come & yes he found so many problems that could not be resolved on a stupid fault finding messenger. Invest in people on the ground & get this crap NBN service fixed!

  • TPG_Telecom TPG (@TPG_Telecom) reported

@angellewis There appears to be outage and no advised yet from NBN Co. Please perform a reset and let me know once done. -Ahra

  • Imstephenmilton Stephen Milton (@Imstephenmilton) reported

@Aussie_BB @NBN_Australia Yep, cheers its #12396800. Have spoke with Ricky on phone who said it's all about waiting for #NBNco to come fix the problem. A month and counting.

  • caskings caskings (@caskings) reported

@damana @Telstra If it’s a fibre service. The box would have been installed regardless of whether the previous tenants ordered a nbn service or not.

  • damana Mana (@damana) reported

@caskings @Telstra Finally! I 🤍 the NBN customer service guy. I told him I just want to know either way so I don’t double pay. I have my answer! See, treating me like a human being didn’t take much & I feel fine about getting my landlord to pay the connection fee. Being a combative jerk doesn’t.
