  @CovfefeDnUnder @ianclarkeAU All network types have limits on the bandwidth (speed available to users), even wired ones... It's just that for fixed networks like the NBN, those limits are much, MUCH higher.

  @oscarcsims also very confusing policy/reg space. govt essentially renationalised Telstra infrastructure in leasing a bunch of its assets to the NBN. yet Telstra still runs emergency services, payphones, landlines - not NBN. minimal economic incentives, maximal telco corporate welfare

  @1Alboforpm Considering Labor designed the NDIS, Libs and Labs together gave us the NBN, Libs and Labs the submarine fiasco? How's the tax on tobacco going in stopping smoking as opposed to feeding organised crime? Pot / kettle Their sudden growth will result in messes, poor communication and confusion between newly formed members but their sudden growth is do to the F up by these 2 major parties. Oh... and ...   When I went into the carport, the light was on, the power point was turned off and the ethernet cable ripped out and the port was broken. He had taken the cover off the NBN box and that's what woke me up- when he was putting it back on. Pretty sure he was looking for a spare key

  @KymRob25112 compared to NBN setup, book installer, wait two weeks, installer fails to show, rebook, wait another two weeks, installer shows up, signal has to be bounced of barn roof, then wait another 4 weeks for NBN co to process it. so two months for nbn vs two hours for starlink.

  @PaulineHansonOz Morning Pauline. The 'du jour' attack on One Nation presently focusses on whether your policies are costed. As you know, this will become a regular feature of all uniparty (LNP will offer this sledge too) media / comms over the next 24 months. It shows the panic levels have escalated. I believe this is your best tactical response (below). 1. Be prepared to openly sully the reputation of the PBO The fact is that this department has costed the NBN, the NDIS and (to a lesser extent) Snowy Hydro. They are continuously wrong, because they are not highly skilled operators in private industry, they're public servants running to Standard Operating Procedure. Let Australians know the PBO is wildly off the mark with most of their projections. So why should One Nation seek this amateur level of analysis? 2. Move the financial analysis and broader discourse to the public forum. Be open, be transparent. Everything that Albanese is not. Aussies will see this and appreciate sincerity of effort and process. Invite critique from high calibre experts like @Adam_Creighton and @DrCameronMurray. Have the project estimations team at Hancock Energy run a ruler over it - they eat Class 2 estimates in their sleep and they'd crunch this work. 3. Empowering Aussies to think through the conundrum. If One Nation aspires to leaning out the public service, to increase quality and production whilst decreasing cost and regulation - most people realise that the public service are not and will never be 'independent' The PBO likes to remind us they are Parliamentary public servants, as distinct from APS. This is a meaningless distinction - they are inept and part of the loathesome Machinery of Government (MOG) that always seems to place Aussies last.

  I woke up to find my Internet is down. I'm typing this via an unusably slow emergency backup mobile access function. I hope my fibre connectivity comes back up soon. The problem is with either my ISP(RSP), or the #NBN, more likely the former.

  Getting there. First time EVER since the NBN was put in by Raj and his mate...i now have a green transfer light as opposed to orange. Of course no one gave a **** there was a problem on the day. I do have some patch cables without a cat rating, so there is that. Baby steps.

  @VoteLewko @2GB873 Starlink is great if you're mobile, but you never want to use it to replace the nbn residential connections. The speeds and latency you get from a fttn/fttp connection are leagues better.

  Ordered a new fibre connection on Sunday, a tech came and installed FTTP on Wednesday, and it cost $0. NBN gets a lot of flack but it's very hard to complain about this level of service!
