With house in Tokyo recently upgraded to 2Gbit service I'm reminded by our network dropouts, during Christmas break, that hybrid cable modems was our bollocks technological rollout of choice for an Aussie NBN service.

  • penning_steven Steven Penning (@penning_steven) reported

@Telstra Telstra NBN extremely poor in Berry NSW and district around Jaspers Brush today. Coverage virtually non existent.

  • hkmcp Hari Krishna Moorthi (@hkmcp) reported

Starlink offers better service to NBN Co’s Sky Muster’s GEO satellites that operate at higher altitudes. Sky Muster covers a larger area but takes longer to send signals. Starlink would however need to launch more satellites to match area coverage. (2/4)

@NBN_Australia is there any way you can actually give me any info? you are just using vague cust service responses. My ISP are saying they can't se any update either beyond it being logged. This level of pass the buck and crap service is really bad. Especially when people rely on connections.

  • adriancantrill Adrian Cantrill (@adriancantrill) reported

oh @NBN_Australia this message "Network degradation may impact your connection" has been showing for 2 days now for ferny grove 4055. Any chance you might fix it this year ?

@DrRebeccaO @Optus Hi . Did you recently change to Optus or from optus to a different provider ? Or even change it to NBN ? I might know what could be the issue here ..

  • NewcastleGardia ☂ Newcastle Guardian🇦🇺 (@NewcastleGardia) reported

@realbillolsen @janegoldnbn @nbnnews We don't really have a local NBN News service these days, all drip feed stuff out of Sydney 😡😡😡 Just about everyone I speak to the same, given NBN a wide berth now.

  • hkmcp Hari Krishna Moorthi (@hkmcp) reported

However, connectivity is the name of the game, and Starlink's superior service poses a real threat. NBN Co needs Gov help to secure growing number of rural Aussies tired of waiting for fibre-to-the-premise construction. Starlink's full commercial arrival in 18 months (4/4)
