So, @DodoAustralia NBN crapped right out again last night, on top of doubling my Stepdad’s bill just because it’s out of contract. Still not back on, after resetting it doesn’t recognise the network pw. You guys are so getting slammed my first stream back under @Optus NBN.

@drkerrynphelps @Craig_Foster @ypweldon Yeh, nah, slight stirring because the nbn went off for a bit. Normal service has been resumed, back to Big Brother.

@dawesi @NBN_Australia I’m not assuming this, I know this. That is why I’m telling them to update their outage map to include addresses that are affected, not just addresses with the power out. My address has power, but no NBN, but still is being reported as just fine on their site.

@stretchoz As at 3:00pm today 10 June, nbn has restored its infrastructure assets servicing approximately 26,500 premises in metropolitan areas of Melbourne. As a result of impacts to other network infrastructure assets, approximately 60,000 nbn services remain affected across 1/3

Worried about my elderly folks in Melb's outer East. No power, no phone as they were forced on to the NBN, no mobile reception, tree down has damaged the plumbing to the house. Hope Dad managed to find accommodation for them both until the house is back up and running.

I remember @telstra spouting off about how 5G would make the NBN redundant. Well so far today, with no NBN available the Telstra network has been so congested it’s barely worked at all 🙄

@JGademski As I sit here in Melbourne, power grid down, so no lights,fridge, gas heating ‘cos no fan, and still in lockdown. No Landline works thru NBN. Phone battery about to run out. I think, what an ideal world we look forward to when renewables take over.

Update: like Icarus, I have flown too near the sun on wings fabricated from my own hubris. Falling branches in last night's storm have knocked out the NBN line to my house, and therefore my wifi bin tower. NBN outages attributable to storm damage: 2 Outages on the bin tower: 1

@Telstra We literally have no NBN and no cellular reception in Monbulk. If we need emergency services we are in serious trouble. I hope some priority is given to areas like this.
