anthony, underclass prole cat, edwards (@anthony45052793) reported@KymRob25112 compared to NBN setup, book installer, wait two weeks, installer fails to show, rebook, wait another two weeks, installer shows up, signal has to be bounced of barn roof, then wait another 4 weeks for NBN co to process it. so two months for nbn vs two hours for starlink.

TassieDevyl (@TasDevyl) reported@ArtistAffame That's not bad. The only option I have where I am is Fixed Wireless. Essentially 4G/5G cell tower and fixed "antenna" on the roof. NBN service via iinet (TPG). Given the distance from the tower I only get a portion of the theoretical maximum throughput. Costs more than your plan.

I’ve moved even further out now, trying to escape people, and the NBN is life changing. Whether city people should be subsidizing us is a fair debate though

If you are in a remote rural area with no other options, it's a great service - but you should expect to pay $139/month, not $75, and you must remember to return the dish if you cancel.

Mel Palling (@MelPalling) reported@Telstra When are you getting us a cell tower @Telstra?? This is dangerous! NBN connections are so bad we had to sign up for Opticomm, which until today, was awesome. But an all day outage and I'm working from my car.
