  @RyanJones6980 @Starlink @starlink is only AU$10/month more than NBN plan in my area (regional NSW). It cost me $300 up front to connect to the NBN, and it's been heartache since then. Those in my local area have not reported any issues since connecting several years ago.

  @Nirgal451 @cmkusher Let’s check the record: Labor's NBN was full-fiber before the LNP sabotaged it into slow, costly copper. Inland Rail was botched by LNP scope creep, & NDIS white-anted by poor oversight. For economic reform stock with Labor. Vision didn't fail; execution was gutted by the LNP.

  @NBN_Australia maintenance in my area to improve network. OK fair enough, I'll just work using mobile data for a few hours. Checking the maintenance window ... 7 days! I'm sure my bill will reflect this fact /sarcasm

  As a recent customer of Starlink, this has to be among the biggest runways in business. Only ~500k connections in Australia, apparently still >8.5m suffering through our joke of an NBN... That's just the opportunity in our little tinpot country.

  @Noicewon11 @Starlink I used to get that screen regularly before Starlink... Pretty sure Macquarie Park/Marsfield would count as Metro. Only ~3 week sample size, but blows away the horrific NBN service I dropped. Only started on the 100MB service too.

  @PatrickGormanMP Labor will bankruptcy the country on that hill but never say how they will fund it just like NBN blow out and the unfundedNDIS let alone the states debts racked up the LNP had pay for as Labor now claims the LNP created the trillion dollar debt.

  Ummm. I don’t mean to be “that guy” but, has anyone else noticed that the #EmergencyAlert test seems to have, ya know, crashed the internet in Australia? #NBN is down everywhere. Phone internet seems to be okay. This could get interesting.

  @TopherField NBN will pale in comparison to the data centre **** show. Elon has spoken of SpaceX’s new data centre satellite constellation that won’t require water for cooling or electricity. But we’ll race ahead and ruin neighborhoods and farmland building irrelevant infrastructure anyway.

  @aaronsmith @jommy_tee To my mind this is decision is less technically competent as choosing to go for a copper NBN rather than fibre As believable a solution as carbon capture and storage
