    OR they could say? Starlink is the same OR cheaper and gives better service! while our sat service costs a LOT for lousy speeds and is ****** if? it works at all Elon Musk cashes in on Australia’s NBN fail Bush families are being forced to pay the world’s richest man for basic phone coverage, as Australia’s bungled NBN rollout leaves dangerous black spots across the regions.     @B_e_n_n_y @r0ck3t23 It’s already obsolete. If you have decent 5G it’s light years ahead of NBN. Most cities don’t have proper 5G though. They think they do but it’s awful pretty much everywhere except Gold Coast.

    I've said time and again that the NBN is a white elephant, and that it would be destroyed by competition... IF competition were allowed. Of course like-for-like competition is NOT allowed... the NBN have a monopoly on wired internet... but guess what? They're STILL being out-competed by the private sector anyway, because wireless technology has come a LONG way fast... After all the tens of billions we've spent, Australia still only ranks 43 on internet speeds (worse on some lists, I'm being generous) and still users are turning to the private sector because the NBN cannot help them where they are. Amazing. Government never makes things better, it only gets in the way of the private sector who WOULD make things better... if the government weren't in the way.

    @UrbanHubbard @TheLucidyn @Batman2242 A fibre network was a sound investment. It's the part of the #nbn that's actually profitable. But the libs killed the economics when they tried to reuse the crippled copper. Meanwhile Turnbull was investing in fibre rollouts in Europe

    @STEVEFI14205588 when power and all communications services were out for 6 days after last flood my ISP disconnected my NBN service because i could not go online to pay my bill because the NBN and all mobile service was down. ironic that even when there is no service we still have to pay for it.

    @Suburbia3121 I’ve had it for a while now Andy… you won’t be surprised to know the NBN in Romsey is crap! lol Starlink obv not the cheapest but it’s been an absolute game changer for us.

    @TopherField I tried for 6 months to get my faulty NBN fixed (FTTN - copper/xdsl for the last 0.9km). NBN blamed the retailer who blamed NBN. I gave up and put in Starlink and have never looked back (4 years ago). NBN dug up the street 2 years ago to install fibre to the premises - I have a pit at the boundary of my property. My property is marked as 'NBN Ready'. Problem is that they never actaully pulled any fibre in the street !! The NBN is a huge scam.

    @LeeroyLives @AngusTaylorMP So looking at that graph, the trajectory of expanding debt started under rudd and gillard and never went down Sounds about right. Looks to start that trajectory after the nbn started construction.
