@NBN_Australia Each time a tech comes out they refuse to check the HFC connection on the street. They say they are not allowed to put a ladder against the pole. After 6 visits nothing is wrong internally so it must be the street connection. 15+ dropouts today. Please help!

@NBN_Australia leasing @Telstra copper with @Optus as a retailer is a perfect example of how three providers is not better than one. A lot of 👉👈 finger pointing as to who has the issue all the while the customer (me) with awful internet....#sortitout

@Telstra AGM sees them complaining about the NBN however their biggest problem should be customer retention. I always have a problem when contacting Telstra, tried to get an esim as a replacement for my physical sim, and I’m asked for a driving lience I don’t have. #esim #NBN

@LennaLeprena @Loud_Lass Never say never. But certainly during the operational life of #nbn I can't see #fibretopremises being beaten by anything else. We're currently on HFC (High Frequency Coaxial) & destined for HFC (Hybrid Fibre Coaxial) but delaying as long as possible because of reliability.

@NBN_Australia The problem is the techs that are sent won’t check the connection on the street. They change something internally for no good reason and report back that the fault is fixed which it is not. I go back to @Optus and the same process happens again.

@carolduncan @AgPeriUrban Absolutely. We were on deck in Mackay during Cyclone Debbie & even the ABC went down to those worst affected. Phones out for days. Guy walked for kms down a blocked road to tell authorities his village was OK. Frightens me to think how the NBN will affect comms when power is lost

@NBN_Australia @Optus NBN HFC 6 weeks of daily multiple dropouts. 4 NBN tech visits + 1 Optus & the issue is still not resolved. Optus modem replaced, NTD replaced, F-connectors replaced but tech not permitted check the connection on the street. Farcical!

On an up note, the NBN dude turned up today and in shock I sniffled both my way through a bloody nasty head cold and emotion to help him install our HFC line. I just did a speed test, got 36.1 Mbs down / 18.3 Mbs up. Our usual was 5.74 down / 1.14 up. Things are bittersweet.

Ah the #NBN aka National Bumpkin Network ... they didn’t disappoint. Trying to get the NBN connected is every bit the hell I expected it to be. Delivering fast and reliable #internet is not something Australia can get right.

Dear @Optus you are a disgrace, cancel my ADSL as I am signed up to NBN well I would be but still waiting for a modem from you from 10th Oct, rang help desk and Annika CB690949 was going to ring me back in 10/15 minutes 40 minutes.

Have been with Telstra since 1972-have not had a problem. Now on NBN, still with Telstra- have low needs - fixed cost $88.00 per month - all local landline & mobile calls free. Suits me down to the ground.

@Optus my 4G broadband at #stafford is so bad. Either that or the @Huawei modem. Not an isolated event. Really question the advertising around super fast 4g. Every night a snail pace speed. #nbn #broadband #nombps #slowinternet

@craigreucassel @NBN_Australia We had @NBN_Australia constantly closing tickets when the problem was still there and technicians that didn’t turn up. We had to get the Ombudsman involved to get a 4 month issue resolved.

@Telstra 3 hours on chat - in first hour was told that NBN tech fixed it (he didn’t) in 3rd hour ‘we’ll send out a new modem’ - no comment on why that should be the issue 1/2

@craigreucassel @JaneCaro @NBN_Australia Imagine ordering coffee and the shop gets the order wrong. When you complain they simply apologise and say we don't do anything about customer complaints until there have been 5 mistakes in a 24 hr period. That's the NBN standard
-
Jon J Knight
(@jmjraknight) reported
@craigreucassel @NBN_Australia Leave your service provider. When you change you won't pay until they can provide a service. This might light a rocket in your current provider too. Privatization of a natural monopoly with limp regulation as the only backstop. Isn't that the most Australian thing!
-
Michael Pemberton
(@TheRealPembo) reported
@Petapann @craigreucassel A friend was told by a tech that he was the manager for the region and had reported the apartment's lead-in cable as degraded 18 months prior, but that it was now NBN's problem to fix.

@craigreucassel @NBN_Australia It took Spock 28 months of relentless complaining to get out provider to actually supply our broadband. And longer for them to agree that 30 second bursts once a day was also not broadband service.

@craigreucassel Same here! Box failure on FTTC NBN is a known issue. Ours went 27 dec & given a technician date of 26 Feb !! Asked them to send a box but no reply. My retail provider eventually argued ‘medical reasons’ and it took all of 2 seconds yesterday for new box to fix the issue. 😒😡
