    @robb_j_m I got nothing, NBN has killed all the independent providers that serves my community. I now get about 10mbps max through the mobile network if lucky.

    @Sauronlordking If there is one thing I didn't mind from the ALP that would be the NBN in its original form. Then this idiot came around and mutilated it into his own little mixed up mess. That now has to be unraveled at even more expense!!!

    All this talk about personal computing dying and what not, I (Steve) decided to try GeForceNOW (Australia) Ultimate using Wireless NBN, Starlink and 5G. My review is this: It's really bad, f@&ing sucks. Thank you for your time.

    Unfortunately @6NewsAU won’t have live by-election coverage tonight (NBN issue) but this is a great thread for Farrer We will have reporting later in the night once results have been reported!

    Was there an issue with the 4G/5G network in Melbourne, Victoria today?? It seems as I got out of the CBD the network improved but within the metropolitan areas there was issues?? @Starlink at home seems to be operating fine - anyone have NBN issues?

    @Michz45 And you seem to think giving the government more money will actually benefit those services. Why do you think the gov does not get involved in baking bread? Because it would taste **** and cost $100 per loaf. That's your Medicare, NDIS and nbn to name a few

    @robb_j_m Starlink. Prior to that we had a satellite connection through the NBN in our rural area which was a bit of a nightmare. They brought in this 'fair use' clause that if you went over a certain amount, you'd get suspended, but it was never terribly clear if you were approaching your limit. It was a rolling limit. I don't know if they still have it. Probably. And then our plan, the larger one, was removed and we were put on some weird sort of plan that gave us no real allocation where we couldn't even watch youtube. Really shabby way to treat customers. Starlink is reliable, has good speeds and no limits on usage, and we never get throttled. It's about $135 a month, but we're happy to pay. We'd never go back to NBN.
