  • nasser_tony Tony Nasser 🇦🇺 (@nasser_tony) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

A pox on the house of the Australian NBN. This substandard excuse for internet service is pathetic.

  • glenn_rowe Glenn Rowe (@glenn_rowe) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Telstra AGM sees them complaining about the NBN however their biggest problem should be customer retention. I always have a problem when contacting Telstra, tried to get an esim as a replacement for my physical sim, and I’m asked for a driving lience I don’t have. #esim #NBN

  • OldTime58084241 Old Timer (@OldTime58084241) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

    @CannabisFairy69 @davidbewart @kjon1230 NBN another LNP cluster ****

  • editsmithy Bradders (@editsmithy) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@nettey1234 @NBN_Australia @Telstra NBN is a joke - they can’t even tell me when the issue will be fixed

  • bdyling Benny Ling (@bdyling) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

The good news is, the apartment I purchased off the plan has FTTP. The bad news is, it’s not NBN FTTP, it’s some “LBN Co” FTTP, whom I have never heard of before.

  • editsmithy Bradders (@editsmithy) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@NBN_Australia There has been a ticket raised for 7 days and still you are not able to supply an ETR, this is unacceptable and very poor service. Ive been left with no alternative but to raise it with the TIO, sadly that will be Telstra’s issue not yours, but I need a date this will be resolved

  • ashkbne Ash ☁️ (@ashkbne) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

Had no issues with Telstra cable pre-NBN

  • TheOlderGamer52 Robbie Shenton (@TheOlderGamer52) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@SoloVideoGamer I keep hearing of these NBN issues from hundreds of people. Only ever had 1 issue and that's when we 1st got connected. No upload speed. 😂 Now I get a constant 94/37mbps unless of course someone is downloading lol

  • editsmithy Bradders (@editsmithy) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@nettey1234 @NBN_Australia @Telstra No just the poor quality of the network - it’s drop outs not a slowdown

  • DannMallet Dann Mallet (@DannMallet) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

Optus mobile and nbn slow tonight

  • JFelstein Jason Felstein (@JFelstein) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

When will Aust get serious about #innovation and enabling the citizen of the future @ScottMorrisonMP help this country compete on the world stage and fix the #nbn. Out of date before it’s complete and no money for a modern communication platform.

  • offshoredc dc (@offshoredc) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@YaThinkN @BreakfastNews Yes and if you continue a curve it becomes a circle and we end up behind ourselves and backwards. The NBN is a palindrome for a reason. It’s as much backwards as it forwards. At times we have the worst broadband service you could imagine

  • TheOlderGamer52 Robbie Shenton (@TheOlderGamer52) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@VicBStard @NBN_Australia Makes sense. If @Optus had of kept the maintence of the cable up to standard before selling to the NBN then it wouldn't have been an issue. That being said I don't get why the NBN didn't just fix the issues.

  • ardmorelad Paul (@ardmorelad) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

I repeat. Why is @NBN_Australia constantly cutting out in postcode #4152. What is the problem. @Telstra @andy_penn #nbnfail

  • ashkbne Ash ☁️ (@ashkbne) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@max_au @simone_au That's the problem hey. The NBN tech installed the NBN modem, got it to pass, and left. The next tech who came out says it's likely the first tech installed an attenuator to get the activation, then removed it (because apparently the techs are too cheap to leave the attenuator)

  • MsLisaHerbert Lisa Herbert (@MsLisaHerbert) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@carolduncan @AgPeriUrban Absolutely. We were on deck in Mackay during Cyclone Debbie & even the ABC went down to those worst affected. Phones out for days. Guy walked for kms down a blocked road to tell authorities his village was OK. Frightens me to think how the NBN will affect comms when power is lost

  • gb7004 greg bradley (@gb7004) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

Dear @Optus you are a disgrace, cancel my ADSL as I am signed up to NBN well I would be but still waiting for a modem from you from 10th Oct, rang help desk and Annika CB690949 was going to ring me back in 10/15 minutes 40 minutes.

  • badtastefatboy Robert Gunner (@badtastefatboy) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@LennaLeprena @Loud_Lass Never say never. But certainly during the operational life of #nbn I can't see #fibretopremises being beaten by anything else. We're currently on HFC (High Frequency Coaxial) & destined for HFC (Hybrid Fibre Coaxial) but delaying as long as possible because of reliability.

  • editsmithy Bradders (@editsmithy) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

How frigging stupid is this, I actually work from home full time and now can’t due to the poor service by @NBN_Australia and @Telstra So good lucky anyone thinking of working from home due to the virus and using NBN - 8 days so far and no resolution and no ETA on a fix

  • teamallen Mark (@teamallen) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

You’re hopeless @Telstra and you @NBN_Australia. Had cable, no issues. Got nbn unlimited with a speed boost, costs more, slower speed, drops out regularly and buffers watching Netflix.. customer service non existent!

NBN Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • Optus Optus (@Optus) reported

@RohanMorris3 Sorry about your NBN connection issue. Yes, there is a fault reported in your area REDBANK PLAINS, QLD, 4301 at the moment. Kartik

  • iduyfken Jason Swaan (@iduyfken) reported

@ACurrentAffair9 This is why @NBN_Australia should never've reused the old & decrepit Telstra network. The Telstra copper has been a mess for years, looking in any connection pit or use @DBYD1100 & dig a trench anywhere near a verge to see the problem. MTM NBN was an absolute joke from the start.

  • bignominious2 Shovel Ready Human Services (@bignominious2) reported

@jason_a_w @ben_hr lol the lies and connections you get stolen by nbn contractors in someplaces here...are beyond a joke. the internet should never have been a capitalist enterprise

  • Optus Optus (@Optus) reported

@sclar356 Hi Simone, very sorry for the ongoing trouble with that NBN box. NBN have confirmed they need to replace the box, unfortunately they have an error preventing us from booking that in at the moment. As soon as they advise we can, I'll be in touch to organise it. Rob

  • caveboy3 Navman80 (@caveboy3) reported

Tradesmen are struggling with job expenses and dollars they make.. so little. NBN was 50 billion dollars project, most of the money had been taken by CEO and management so they needed to step down first or sacking is the best option.

  • Les05138240 Les (@Les05138240) reported

@ACurrentAffair9 Those pit pictures are all Telstra Pits. I'm a ex NBN Tech and the biggest issue we had was the condition of the Telstra infrastructure. The NBN paid Telstra millions to be able to use there infrastructure and we spent a lot of time having to get it rebuilt or replaced.

  • neddynoel1 Noel Miller - Proud Lefty (@neddynoel1) reported

@tchbastard @Heather15814898 The stupid media is calling this a ‘Labor-like’ big spending budget. The difference? Labor budgets are visionary, with infrastructure such as the NBN (wrecked by the Libs), action on climate change (SFA this budget), provision for the needy & the future benefit of ALL Australians

  • thekyaverse kya ✨🪐 (@thekyaverse) reported

welp i streamed for a total of 20 minutes and my internet cut out yall 🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃 shout out to australian nbn, i'll go back live if it comes back! sorry everyone 😭

  • NaskingKing Nick king (@NaskingKing) reported

2nd time in 10 weeks that horrific lightning storm over Logan, during middle of the night, has fried our NBN box and Apple box. Took amplifier with it this time. Grrr. The NBN technician was great help. But getting worried about the NBN system now as it doesn’t stop the surges.

  • Matthew58489786 Matthew Rowland (@Matthew58489786) reported

@jendudley @dailytelegraph Nothing to fix the NBN?
