@LennaLeprena @Loud_Lass Never say never. But certainly during the operational life of #nbn I can't see #fibretopremises being beaten by anything else. We're currently on HFC (High Frequency Coaxial) & destined for HFC (Hybrid Fibre Coaxial) but delaying as long as possible because of reliability.

@NBN_Australia leasing @Telstra copper with @Optus as a retailer is a perfect example of how three providers is not better than one. A lot of 👉👈 finger pointing as to who has the issue all the while the customer (me) with awful internet....#sortitout

@Optus my 4G broadband at #stafford is so bad. Either that or the @Huawei modem. Not an isolated event. Really question the advertising around super fast 4g. Every night a snail pace speed. #nbn #broadband #nombps #slowinternet

Ah the #NBN aka National Bumpkin Network ... they didn’t disappoint. Trying to get the NBN connected is every bit the hell I expected it to be. Delivering fast and reliable #internet is not something Australia can get right.

@NBN_Australia The problem is the techs that are sent won’t check the connection on the street. They change something internally for no good reason and report back that the fault is fixed which it is not. I go back to @Optus and the same process happens again.

On an up note, the NBN dude turned up today and in shock I sniffled both my way through a bloody nasty head cold and emotion to help him install our HFC line. I just did a speed test, got 36.1 Mbs down / 18.3 Mbs up. Our usual was 5.74 down / 1.14 up. Things are bittersweet.

Have been with Telstra since 1972-have not had a problem. Now on NBN, still with Telstra- have low needs - fixed cost $88.00 per month - all local landline & mobile calls free. Suits me down to the ground.

What a stupid country we are! The LNP took Rudd’s future-focussed NBN and turned it into two tin cans joined with copper and string. Now a third world 19th century network with snail mail speed. And the voters accepted this rubbish because they didn’t like Shorten! Fools!!

@Telstra AGM sees them complaining about the NBN however their biggest problem should be customer retention. I always have a problem when contacting Telstra, tried to get an esim as a replacement for my physical sim, and I’m asked for a driving lience I don’t have. #esim #NBN

@NBN_Australia Each time a tech comes out they refuse to check the HFC connection on the street. They say they are not allowed to put a ladder against the pole. After 6 visits nothing is wrong internally so it must be the street connection. 15+ dropouts today. Please help!

@carolduncan @AgPeriUrban Absolutely. We were on deck in Mackay during Cyclone Debbie & even the ABC went down to those worst affected. Phones out for days. Guy walked for kms down a blocked road to tell authorities his village was OK. Frightens me to think how the NBN will affect comms when power is lost

@BarbaraHFlowers @TurnbullMalcolm I’m on NBN satellite. Recently the satellite signal has started to drop out completely, particularly in the early morning (4am onwards) when I’m doing my morning reading before dawn. Rebooting everything works but can chew up an hour to get it going. Good stuff @NBN_Australia

@joshgnosis @QuentinDempster Hahahaha. This reminds me of the NBN mail I got last week. Précis - your NBN is slow. We cannot fix it and no other provider will be able to either. You have 2 choices - stay with us at slow speeds, or leave. Yours sincerely, NBN

@Wulfnoth2 @9NewsAUS they don't. They changed the original NBN plan and then when it was underperforming they blamed it on people streaming stuff. Um yes, that's kind of the future, lots of data moving about and what the NBN was supposed to help prepare Aus for.
