@opinonhaver Got NBN installed at a community radio station on the literal eve of lockdowns. Then needed to get into our transmitter site and the key wouldn’t work so needed to squeeze through the gate. Was scared but needed to support the community.

@NBN_Australia yesterday I had an NBN technician named Kiran come round to do a FTTP upgrade in my home and it was genuinely the greatest customer service experience I've ever had in my life. is there anything I can do to make sure he's commended for the excellent work he did?

@markhumphries Fed govts not prepared to fully subsidise NBN connections ($billions), or to mandate NBN/minimum speed under universal service guarantee ($billions cost for telco industry). And states won't mandate landlords pay ($billions & way too hard). So tenants/consumers pay. Kiwi is diff.

@Optus It seems to have rectified itself but I do have this problem from time to time. I've done a traceroute in Windows and the issue seems to be a particular router on the NBN.

Apparently not sorted, the NBN has gone down because it's raining. Like always. I've got the guy's mobile number because he texted me. I'm trying not to be a Karen.

@SteveJohnsonCAD @markhumphries Not the actual connecting of the service, that is done by property owners and NBN should be the same, especially since it’s tax deductible to the landlord anyway.

@joshgnosis @markhumphries I’ve never had to deal with this. But what does the 300 fee pay for? The connection boxes attached to the house and the nbn modem? Or is it wiring from the property boundary to the house as well?

Why does @telstra offer static IPs on 5g home internet service if they provide a modem that has been neutered in the firmware to prevent port firwarding/dmz/bridge mode so you can't actually do anything but watch netflix and use facebook? Really wish @NBN_Australia worked!
