    @22thinkinggirl I tripped on a footpath in a Brisbane suburb,because it had been raised and not put back correctly by the NBN,the council fixed it that afternoon.Councils work,the problem is these are state roads in Victoria.Should the councils be asked to help out the new state government to get this major problem to a manageable level.

    My @NBN has been down since 9am & they won't come to fix issue till Monday - 4 days (2nd time in 2 wks)! My Telstra hotspotting is weak. Time to hook up with @starlink Issue here is local installer charges an arm/leg etc to install sys on roof etc. I may have to suck it up.

    @Riogallica @nbn @Starlink The only problem with starlink is they can put the price up any time they feel, I was with them 2 months and they upped the price. If you want to go elsewhere in under 12 months you have to pay for the hardware, around $500 I think. Having said that, the service is ok.

    @TopherField Satellite has been about forever, the government never got in its way, I had it and it was ****. I used NBN relatively successfully over inferior satellite technologies until Starlink came along. Your opinions don’t appear to align with my experiences accurately.

    @TopherField Our sports club is 12.5km from Darwin's CBD and there is no NBN provisioning and the available wireless is dogshit. So yeah, Starlink it is and things have never been better.

    @LCHF_Matt I had this same NBN box when I was with Optus internet. I got rid of it when I changed to full fibre with Aussie BB. I hated Optus, but I have to say, the NBN box itself never failed in all the years I had it. Will be interested to hear how you go with Starlink

    @cmkusher We’ve had terrible governments for 25 years. No real economic reforms and throwing tens of billions at poorly thought out thought bubbles like NBN, Inland Rail, Snowy Hydro 2.0, NDIS etc etc

    @MichaelRuyg yep, when they built the NBN fixed wireless tower, that carries optus and vodafone as well, it had a backup generator. then the tower got "upgraded" with 6 months of regular outages and then next power outage we discovered the backup generator and the ability to call 000 was gone

    @NBN_Australia Sadly, thanks to Abbott & @TurnbullMalcolm the only NBN I can get is the APPALLING satellite ‘service’. At least once a day, but usually several times a day, the service drops out. Previously reported; NBN ‘tested’ & says it’s OK. IT IS NOT. … 1/2
