NBN outage for 3 days now, stuck on LTE mode on modem. Yet still @nbnco and @Telstra both say no outages in my area. Trouble shooting wizard says outage, the SMS confirmation says technician working on outage. What a cluster....

@OldCroaky @rob_mcknight @Telstra Same here! We had major NBN issues during lockdown & couldn’t speak to a real person to resolve them so we changed providers to fix it! Telstra are the worst for customer service, the auto bot hangs up on you all the time & the app closes tickets when it’s not resolved. 👎🏻

@NBN_Australia Doesn’t really offer a lot of information just that there is an outage. An ETA would be helpful

@decryption You can't unfortunately. The FTTP NTD syncs at 2488Mbps / 1244Mbps aggregate and NBN Co limit to 1 ultrafast service per NTD. Any subsequent orders for ultrafast services on another port will be rejected.

@AnthonyDrmic What's the fault exactly? Your ISP would generally investigate the fault you report and if they claim it's NBN's issue that should log it with NBN and be provided a case number that would look like NBNF followed by 4 digits (ex NBNF1919). If they're refusing to chase the (1/2)

hey @renailemay weird experience on the wknd. Someone read your articles w/ me on Delimiter, looked up my parent’s ph no, called them to speak to me about their NBN issues. Any chance you can take them down or remove my very uncommon surname from the articles? Freaked my parents.

@decryption NBN uses GPON so four 1Gbps providers is not possible (GPON maximum is 2.4Gbps). I have also read that the signal is actually spit between 32 subscribers, so the bandwidth is potentially less. I have also read that NBN have been mulling NG-PON2 to increase the bandwidth.

Sorry, I had to stop the livestream - the @Telstra @NBN_Australia connection is too rough. It switches between LTE and DSL every few minutes, some kind of management server handshake issues - hopefully will be fixed later this week. xxxx #livestream

@LapTop006 @MachineLordZero Yeah the main issue I have with it is the phone lines in this building date to the 1960s and the connection from the NBN to them is a series of wires from an NBN box to a rusty old PSTN box that doesn't close properly.
