@L1nko64 @Canadianguyehh Take Australia for example. Our internet infrastructure is really poor. Even if you get a really good NBN plan it's still a dice roll on if you get the speeds you're paying for. Making even single player games borderline unplayable depending on where you live.

@elonmusk any site I could look at to determine speeds for Starlink in Sydney. I am looking to rent in a suburb where NBN is very slow and 5g rollout still way off. So was thinking of going with this option. I cannot afford not to have slow internet as my work relies on it.

@TonyHWindsor NBN [optic fibre internet] needed reform because it was a government monopoly. Unnatural monopolies are synonymous with bad service. (Not to say that the LNP government chose the right way to reform it.)

Hooray, the home internet dropped out again. Is it the router? Is it the NBN box? Is it my computer? Is it the local node or whatever I connect to? I am going to blame Malcolm Turnbull, that may not assist in fixing the problem but at least I know it's ultimately correct.

@TonyHWindsor Go back to bed grandpa TELSTRA offered an Australia wide internet network for $4 billion This was rejected and you, Conroy, Rudd + Gillard!!! And then you created the NBN, at a cost to the tax payer for $50 billion. And now it’s a white elephant, as 5G, is superior to it!

Patting myself on the back here whilst my wife looked at me in awe. 10 minutes earlier: Can't get netflix. Streaming has been slowing down for days now, and tonight - nothing. I rebooted both the NBN Router and the Modem. Everything fixed. I commented to my wife that this

I just I had a phone call from an (02) number. The caller claimed to be from @NBN_Australia & stated that my ADSL service was going to be disconnected and I needed to apply for an #NBN service. The reality is that I've had an #NBN service for some years & @Optus Internet account

@FinancialReview The coalition and NBN board ignored all experts on the mixed tech model and so Australia now has wasted billions on crap internet infrastructure. Sack the NBN board and start fresh.

Scammers are getting really cheeky. Just got the 10th call from NBN (I just hang up) saying they were going to upgrade my box (😳). Gave me a phone number 1800687626 and said a tech called Olivia Johnson would replace it. Also, I'd be receiving a box in the post in the 1/2
