@Telstra Hold with you is 6k in credit. But apparently the two account can't be merged. Your nbn tech support said it would be fine but alas I have no internet to do simple work tasks. The service I receive from you is not worthy of 10+ years of business and my 50+ services

@camjpatrick @joshgnosis Why? Everyone has mobiles therefore having an NBN connection is far from an essential service like water, sewer or electricity.

@markhumphries @TopHatOrTrilby @Real_Don_Easter 5g WiFi. I live regionally and nbn sucks here but 5G WiFi is brilliant and no connection fee.

@marauderlil90 @JesseAddison12 It’s a tough one. Does NBN constitute an essential service to a home when there are other ways to connect to the internet? Does having a connection then oblige the landlord to maintain it? What happens if a tenant wants a more expensive fibre to the home connection?

@BrendanFosterrr @spargles @hamhammer27 How about intentionally screwing the NBN? Not to mention how bad the process of the plebiscite was, and how he kowtowed to Dutton et al

@markhumphries Can’t you give the property a bad review, ie owner won’t pay NBN a once only fee . Surely if enough people do it it will catch on . Should be the responsibility of the owner and part of the allure of the property

@belyndar @markhumphries Thats why I laugh at all the people who say just get 4G/5G. The number of black spots for 4/5G are huge and often in unexpected places. Got a call from my mother just last week saying her phone doesn't work. Turns out her NBN was down and that's how she connects to mobile

Why does @telstra offer static IPs on 5g home internet service if they provide a modem that has been neutered in the firmware to prevent port firwarding/dmz/bridge mode so you can't actually do anything but watch netflix and use facebook? Really wish @NBN_Australia worked!

@bill_dobell I want batteries so I can at least listen to the radio during the blackouts. Do mobile phone towers need power? Sadly our NBN landline does. The copper system always worked during blackouts so I was shocked the copper landline is being shut down.
