@JohnRHewson John, just look at the comments on any Optus 5G Facebook add (they advertise a lot) and you will see that customers complain that the 5G towers have a frustrating & ridiculously short range. So, 5G will never replace NBN.

  • Huw_Merlin Huw Merlin (@Huw_Merlin) reported

@JohnRHewson Load is the problem with 5G. Tower interference due to weather. NBN on the other hand, true NBN, suffers none of that. Can run much faster. But this Gov has limited the speed to make it seem like copper isn't so bad. But we and the ACCC & ombudsman know it is.

  • NBN_Australia nbn™ Australia (@NBN_Australia) reported

@FetchStep Hey there. Nbn is rolling out a Multi-Technology Mix network, which consists of Fixed Line, Fixed Wireless and Sky Muster Satellite services. To determine which technology will be used within a certain area, a number of factors are taken into consideration including 1/3

  • Meeks999 Meeks (@Meeks999) reported

@JohnRHewson Using wireless now. Never bothered with NBN.

  • BRSTest1 BRSTa (@BRSTest1) reported

@JohnRHewson I won’t be looking to upgrade my mobile during the COVID era due to working from home. I doubt I’m alone in that, so I think many of us will be looking for more NBN as it eliminates signal woes.

  • BrowntownBrew Cdbrown (@BrowntownBrew) reported

@GB38251626 @jen165 @abcnews They haven't actually provided any evidence to say 90% of fttn connections support at least 50Mbps. The connection speed might be 35Mbps and NBN will say that is ok for a 50Mbps plan.

  • pfbt Marquis d'Killara (@pfbt) reported

@JohnRHewson Hopefully, given the ripoff pricing from the @NBNCoLimited. Moving to newly opened area on edge of central west town. NBN Co took fibre just to the 50km speed limit sign ... no help to those just past that. Satellite is lame & poor value for money.

  • CMS_au CYS (@CMS_au) reported

Issues ignored by @David_Speers and @sclark_melbs include the backflip on the NBN and Alan Tudge. What a disgrace. Left to Talking Pictures to even mention the NBN matter. #insiders

  • fockthefarright Democracy Please (@fockthefarright) reported

@TurnbullMalcolm Your bank balance will determine your internet speed. But you couldn't give a flying **** about that...if you can't afford it you don't deserve it right? 😡 What a flop you proved to be...💩 #NBN #auspol

  • MurdochLowy The Dork Knight (@MurdochLowy) reported

@JohnRHewson NBN could make 5G better by putting reliable microcells in our houses on fibre. No good on the Turnbull network though
