    It should be investigated and people charged. I have a Vietnamese friend on a work visa who worked for a telecommunications company and now NBN. He often works from 7am to 9pm and in his first job he climbed those towers, often works weekends but never gets paid overtime!

    @NBN_Australia No, it has randomly returned. Rebooting modem didn't help, rebooting router didn't help. But now I can receive a call. My ISP has told me that unless issues occur regularly (5 times a day, 3 days in a row) there is nothing they can do.

    @Trusted_Samurai The max line I could get from NBN is 50 Mbps down due to the distance of our house from the node. I am keeping an eye on the data usage. 56GB in 5 days, so 500GB per month should be enough.

    For all of its flaws, NBN Co. are proving to be far more worthy custodians of telecommunication infrastructure than Telstra. Got a problem? They'll fix it. And I'll take the frequent planned outages with the knowledge that it's never going to go down without warning.
