Graeme (@GamingFTWeekend) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
So after my internet randomly went down last when @NBN_Australia start doing work in Randwick, the NBN have concluded whatever they did last night in Randwick and the internet should be working. Except it's not. This is not how one is supposed to 'break the internet'...

Leonard R. Gregory (@TheRobinsfromOz) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@EFTM @trevorlong They are 0 and 1 thats it. Just charge those who want streaming at a particular speed more. Thats what every other business in life does. Supply and demand sets the price. NBN is a flawed business model - thats more the issue.

@NBN_Australia the NBN is down in my street can you please fix it, it’s been down for 2 days. Out of the 6 days we have had it I would say it goes down 35% of the time.

James (@JamesMaccajim) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@RantRacing I live a few suburbs away had same problems it’s nbn messing with cables. I thought it was an old computer got a few new ones made no difference. Hard to even watch nsw replays last week.

Kerrie Barker (@kezz78) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
So I got my @NBN_Australia service installed today. The technician came within the designated time frame, was really nice and installed the cable way quicker than I thought he would. And now I’m getting 44mbps which is exactly 10x faster than what I had on adsl 🎉 @TPG_Telecom

@p4ndr_ @NewtonMark @wibbly @NBN_Australia The business model they created was never going to build the network that was promised.
-
Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@NewtonMark @wibbly @NBN_Australia It’s been broken from the day it was conceived and was never going to deliver the network it originally promised. Everyone is caught up on blaming each other over the connection type while ignoring the massive elephant in the room.

AnnieLWells (@anniepinkstorm) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@PaulFletcherMP With the FTTP NBN this was a non issue as NTU was the modem. They ordered in bulk identical units for everyone on FTTP.

Robert Hudson (@manaz_d) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@NBN_Australia @iTnews_au Start by un-breaking the existing failed commercial model then, rather than doubling down on the mistakes.

MEGAN SAMUEL (@meggsie79) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@ernestjpnsw @NBN_Australia @TPG_Telecom Had the same issue with TPG. Switched to Vodafone NBN and much better quality of service

Tom Ragen (@TomRagen) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
Telcos @Telstra & @Optus are looking under the lead of the @NBN_Australia to charge people more for the use of streaming videos services! #No! Absolutely not! We are already paying for internet service. If you add this new charges it’s a ***** money grab! #WTF

Leonard R. Gregory (@TheRobinsfromOz) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@trevorlong @EFTM That's the NBN problem ..... I'll be 100% wireless once the kids have left home. Cord cutting is the ultimate for me. On device VPN and I can then get it from anywhere in the world.
-
Robert Hudson (@manaz_d) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
To clarify - @NBN_Australia should not care what is encapsulated inside the layer 2 frames that pass over their network. Even if they were a layer 3 construct (so interested in IP transit), the contents of the packets they'd be responsible for should not concern them.

@vogrady2132 @GeorgeBludger If you can get 100....I pay for 100 but get 43 @ best.......NBN totally stuffed up by LNP Government with help from Murdoch......watch the cost taxpayers will pay to fix & LNP will walk away scott free
-
Marquis d'Killara (@pfbt) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
While gov’t bodies force more & more transactions online while offering no alternative, there will be many who will not be able to afford the NBN (some effing service .. not) @NBNAustralia

@NBN_Australia *Cont from my last comment * My internet drops out at least once a week, if I move like 4 meters away from my router I lose connection entirely, and honestly I feel like my old ADSL2+ was more reliable, just a lil slower. I’m aware some of these issues could be router related
-
Illustrator Interrupted (@FranceyME) reported
@jeshyr And with the half arse job this gov did on the NBN, many of us have slow & glitchy internet. My doctor & I have given up on zoom or FaceTime ‘cause it keeps cutting out. Phone call is far more reliable & doesn’t impact my health nearly as much as leaving the house.... #auspol

@Badger_tbg @iiNet Yeah Badger can I piggy back on this post? @iiNet my street has such terrible NBN 2 years ago from neighbours Speedtest as that I’ve never changed from my iiNet ADSL2+ because i was getting more reliable connection & lower ping & faster speeds than they were on their iinet nbn

@Telstra I’ve got a complaint in the system already, been to the local store, Spoken with a telstra representative about 10 times and nbn twice. Im extremely tired of being asked to escalate. Cannot this be done by telstra themselves.

L-TRAIN (@theltrain9000) reported
the NBN's issue is they started rolling out FTTP, then decided it was too expensive and rolled out cheaper shittier fibre-to-the-node in most places ... and they never had a good plan for rural areas

Mason #messiahfromtheshire Riley (@Curtains_Drapes) reported
@StatesFailed @Yeehaa25 @adamzwar She was against the sale but point taken. No CEO is a saint but the issue was around her treatment for not breaking the rules as a female CEO when NBN male CEO announced $70M worth of bonuses
