Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@Telstra Last night I could barley load my online uni course when speeds got down to 4Mbps. In fact it will probably be faster if i disconnect the NBN and use the 4G backup of an evening.
-
Darcy Byrne (@MayorDarcy) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@Martin_Bonobo It’s Telstra’s building. They are using the rest of it for NBN roll out and say they will let us knock it down after that.

@WorldOfMarkyD @nchuah Will never 4get that arsehole......NBN, Our ABC.....all suffered by his decisions 👎🏿👎🏽👎🏼💩🤖so why was he rewarded.....mouth 💸💸💸🤔🤔🤔

Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@joshh_dp Yup. Has been perfect for years. Suddenly it’s bad only in the peak but I have to wait for an NBN technician to look at the NTD 🙄
-
Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@0dayssincemeltd In contract so just waiting for them to acknowledge it’s broken so I can leave with no fee. Complaint in with Telstra and now the TIO. All Telstra are doing is sending an NBN tech to look at my NTD
-
Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
iiNet support wasn’t interested in the fact they had iiNet NBN 50 and suddenly they had Vodafone NBN 100 running at their house. Just say it’s impossible.
-
Andy Donovan (@donovandy) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
Is there any bigger shit show than the crappy @NBN_Australia brought to us by wrecker @TurnbullMalcolm. No internet again tonight, my weekly experience on HFC hybrid crap rolled out by our useless former PM under orders from another earlier former idiot and useless PM. @iiNet
-
Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
Also before they moved out their home internet had suddenly moved to Vodafone NBN but their iiNet account still showed usage up until the people at the new house turned off the modem. Sounds like a churn was done but iiNet support claims that is impossible

@gurambae Working or just connected, how many devices does your NBN service provider modem allow
-
Iain Brew (@IainBrewSydney) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@fictillius The way around it is to put a small switch between the NBN Modem and the ISP router. Use their router purely for voice and a second router of your choice for data. It seems 2x devices can sign in with same credentials so will be testing that out.

MEGAN SAMUEL (@meggsie79) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@CynicalAU @Optus @TPG_Telecom Don’t do it @TPG_Telecom are terrible. At present we haven’t had email access for almost 3 days and they seem in no rush to rectify the issue. Also my NBN installation was an experience I’d prefer to forget. 15 missed appointments and sub-standard speeds
-
Chelsea Feltham (@paloappie) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
After two weeks of no internet with @Optus due to “back end issues” with my relocation, I was told it could be a further 21 days to get connected. I cancelled my service. 30 mins after submitting the form on the @Aussie_BB website, my NBN was connected. Customer service folks!

Luke (@MF_Louqa) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@Radxiation nbn is down playing on 4 g haha
-
Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@Telstra It’s FTTP. The Gen 2 modem has been rebooted. The tests have been run. All that’s happened is an NBN tech has been booked who is going to look at the NTD and say it’s fine. Fibre doesn’t develop an issue for certain hours of the day.

SKYLXRK (@skylxrksays) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
Another day another NBN outage... and right as I got home. Pleeeease don’t let this turn into an ongoing saga like it was with Optus HFC 🙃
-
Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@AUSFestivus @Telstra I had to take my mobile to Vodafone a few weeks ago because of Telstra congestion issues in the CBD. I’m trying to give them a chance here because the NBN with them has been great with no peak congestion for 3 years until last week. But Vodafone NBN is looking good right now.
-
Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@Telstra No reference numbers but I have now made a complaint. There’s clearly something wrong with your network but tech support just want to blame my network or the NBN and want to waste time getting and NBN tech to look at a Fibre NTD that works fine except for peak hour.
-
aussiepomm (@aussiepomm) reported from Galston, State of New South Wales
So - @NBN_Australia cut off home phone when attempting to install but can’t complete job, and now @Optus have cancelled my ADSL account. Neither are particularly helping (blaming each other) so I guess it’s the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman to assist! Been a horrid 24hrs
-
Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@CameronWatt They had a data feed issue last night. My POI is good for Aussie BB but I might give Vodafone NBN a go. Get a bundle discount and $69/m for 100/40 for first 6 months. Plus the 4G backup
-
Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@Telstra The first tech support person last week said the congestion would be fixed within 24hours. 4 days later the internet is barely useable during peak times. There’s clearly inadequate CVC or an issue on your network and waiting for an NBN tech before doing anything is waste of time

@mmmaxi @Anthony_Klan I'm on the Telstra network with another supplier - cheap as chips mobile with good coverage. NBN I ditched for wireless connection - local Perth based provider - consistent connection, speed & cheaper than Optus/Telstra/iiNet.

Joy Brotton (@MaggieJoy70) reported
@RichardKGrump @NBN_Australia Richard, did you have to pay your technician to come and "fix" your computer. I would be asking for a refund, it sounds like it is getting worse, not better. I have the best computer guy ever, he lives half an hour away and is usually busy, and as I know him very well,
-
Brian Shevlane (@ShevlaneB) reported
@MRowlandMP Just like Macron and Scomo I know and don't think that my NBN outage will not be solved today. Why ? Public Holiday and yesterday no bosses around Sunday. Your responsibility madam.
-
Hon.Taffy fool 🏴 (@lassie_welsh) reported
@johnBraker5 @RichardKGrump @NBN_Australia I have FTTP and I live in regional NSW as does Richard , I have never had the issues he is having , my optic fibre was laid under a Fed Labor Govt, the LNP have mismanaged and directed a subpar NBN framework since Abbott. This is now the result, a second class system!
-
Nathan Wall (@Home) (@_Nathan_W_) reported
Excellent customer service from @TelstraAU today. Phone ported, a new handset, my NBN switches in a few days and #optusfail can kiss my grumpy white ***. It's cost me $450 to change my identity documents. 🖕
-
💧Lucky Country with A Labor Govt!! (@Ozzytourer) reported
@RichardKGrump @NBN_Australia Might be time for a new modem.... We use to have drop outs, speed would slow etc, we would have to restart the modem regularly. Updated to a new modem, no drop outs, no speed loss.....
-
dannyboi (@DanielJohnLamb) reported
NBN internet drop out at postcode 3350 is there any issues out that way? @iiNet
-
Senator Sarah Henderson (@SenSHenderson) reported
If the NBN was not rolled out with the speed and purpose that happened under the Coalition, using all available technologies, millions of premises throughout Australia may have languished on ADSL speeds of 8Mbps, on average, or endured lockdowns with no internet service at all.
-
Mischelle (@SchelleTick) reported
@IMO41725414 @SpaceX IMO, because many people in regional Australian can't get good internet, NBN satellite costs a fortune and is as slow as a snail. (I am not saying NBN Fixed Wireless) some areas rely on satellite, majority of those are farmers that feed you.
-
Kylie (@kylzhas) reported
@Optus why did I wait 8hrs for customer service to answer my chat in the app...only to be told to visit a store. I am only asking how to cancel our NBN. So your customer service staff now can't actually provide customer service
