Julien Goodwin (@LapTop006) reported from Sydney, New South Wales*sigh* Yay first tier ISP support, more interested that they don't know my date of birth (for obvious BS "security" reasons. Supposedly escalated to NBN, which doesn't actually seem like the correct next step, but oh well.
-

-
James Fridley (@fridley) reported from Sydney, New South Wales@Telstra still as useless as ever. Been trying to connect to the NBN since 2019 in a Sydney CBD office, and they cancel any new NBN order without even bothering to contact us.... O_o
-
LachlanB_ 🌏✈️🏈🏏 (@LachlanB_) reported from Sydney, New South Wales@Lachlan_Mc That's my issue. Signed up to NBN contract when it (finally) arrived in my area, but now 5G is available it's actually way faster than my broadband. 🙄 Not sure how or who offers a big enough data package to allow streaming on the 5G mobile network. 🤷
-
John Skinner (@johncskinner1) reported from Sydney, New South WalesDuring the big storm yesterday our @NBN_Australia box blew. Not being repaired until 20th! Some people are on their 9th box. Repair times are random with some repaired today, tomorrow & next week. @stemplemanmp doing a great job trying to help us & prevent regular reoccurrences!
-
Peter Bell (@PeterBell7) reported from Sydney, New South Wales@JJKALE2 I love PK .. reflects how tired we are of comparing our **** show with another country This cruddy government NEVER compares us to OECD when languishing at the bottom social reforms, pensions NBN etc

-
Christian two jab 💉💉 (@cbiggins) reported from Sydney, New South WalesApparently @Optus has "deleted" (their words) my NBN connection. I have to wait 48hrs for their stuff up. Considering I've started moving my 5 phone services to @Telstra I think my NBN will be next. Been with Optus for sooo many years but lately wow it's been bad.
-
Bruce Hopkins (@lifeguardhoppo) reported from Sydney, New South Wales@marklevy2gb @NBN_Australia @BelongAU I have had the same problem
-
Matthew Jones (@matthewjonespga) reported from Sydney, New South Wales@Telstra if my NBN is down why isn’t my 4g backup working? Have re booted, blue lights on??
-
John Lutge (@JohnLutge) reported from Sydney, New South Wales@Telstra The @Telstra faults person hung up on me when I insisted she contact @NBN to find out what was going on. Is the fault at my premisis, or in the area as I was previously told? As far as DMs go. I've wasted hours down that rabbit hole before, for absolutely no gain.
-
Peter H 🇦🇺 (@Peter_Hindwood) reported from Sydney, New South WalesThe #NBN IS Down in #CHERRYBROOK right now as of 2130 funny how a simple storm can break the @NBN_Australia by the way my service provider is @iiNet
-
Sir Darryl Adams (@FlyOpineMonkey) reported from Sydney, New South WalesSome tweet content not showing up (don't know if it is my NBN or part of the Muskageddon). Good news the advertising is showing up. And here we thought the horrid edgelord hated advertising...
-
Mark Leveson (@MarkLeveson) reported from Sydney, New South WalesMorning @2GB, you’ve got app issues again. It keeps cutting out and and one stage we heard Ben ask the Astro guy the same question four times. Now nothing. Our download is 108Mbs and upload 32Mbs, ping 13Ms. Our NBN’s working fine.
-
John Skinner (@johncskinner1) reported from Sydney, New South Wales@NBN_Australia The main problem is some providers take days to “diagnose” the issue when it’s v. clear what the problem is. This wastes time & resources. In areas of high failure @NBN_Australia should have some technicians based in the community to maintain this infrastructure! @stemplemanmp
NBN Issues Reports

-
DEANJA🇦🇺 (@deanja110) reported@newcastleherald As an Ex-NBNer having spent many years of my working life in various capacities with NBN, it's terrible to now hear about all these losses.
-
Hayley Katona (@HayleyKatona) reported@Fiances_ We’ve improved the state of every property we’ve rented (built gardens, mostly). But yet, rent goes up and up and up. Currently dealing with a $300 bill for installing an NBN fibre box inside which increases internet speed 10 fold, and the landlord is making us relocate it for the amazing low price of $770 (wants it moved 2 metres down the wall it’s on). Ugh
-
Michael Grant (@Amunous) reported@real_joshkent @VoteLewko @Starlink What nbn are you on? There are many different versions so you can’t just say nbn is bad across the board.
-
Jess 🤍💚 (@matildaismine) reported@1RogerWoodward @RoguestGypsy @Telstra Dude it's not wide spread for nbn... it's telstras mobile service... only very few are having issues with nbn
-
Patrice Henri (@PatricioHenrio) reportedthe NBN was never even finished
-
Con! (@c0n_AU) reported@BeauGiles Typically, no. For the cost of a backup device/SIM/NBN or even Starlink, it would pay for itself in an hour of an outage like this!
-
Paul Maynard (@pauldotm) reportedThe exisiting tech support could be retained within the NMN preserving that knowledge base and the mobile networks could be better enmeshed with the NBN. Coverage could be better managed.
-
Rain (@AussieBromo) reported$58.10 is Aussie Broadband's "special 6 months price". For 25mbps down, 10mbps up... Meanwhile Amaysim's offer is $30 a month for 6 months. It's so retarded. The NBN/gov should be ashamed of themselves. Cost of access is way too high and it's causing ridiculous market behaviour.
-
WhatYouThinkIThink 🇦🇺♥️🇺🇦 🔴🟡⚫️ 🇮🇱🇵🇸 (@WhatYouThinkIT1) reported@ianclarkeAU Now explain how Starlink is going to remove the latency of the speed of light to/from LEO and then transmission from ground stations compared to fibre? Max bandwidth Starlink: 310/44mbps (down/up). NBN FTTP: 2Gbps/500Mbps. Wireless/Wifi/Satellite will always be slower.
-
Michael🧙 (@mich___l) reported@sofewcharacters @VoteLewko @2GB873 Yes it is, but Starlink is terrible in cities, built up areas, and areas with lots of tree cover. It degrades pretty significantly in bad weather. It would also be terrible with a cities worth of people connected..... network congestion is a problem for satelite solutions (similar to the mobile network). Getting rid of the nbn network would be a monumentally bad idea.
