Just had an SMS scheduling another appt for tomorrow. The @Telstra faults operater in Australia just hung up on me. If I ran my med practice that way, I would be in jail.

John Lutge (@JohnLutge) reported from Sydney, New South WalesThe technician came and my internet is still broken. There is an open fault ticket for the @nbn network team to fix the network tap in the pit at the front of the house. According to @Telstra, there is no ETA on the fix.

Is the fault at my premisis, or in the area as I was previously told? As far as DMs go. I've wasted hours down that rabbit hole before, for absolutely no gain.

Max bandwidth Starlink: 310/44mbps (down/up). NBN FTTP: 2Gbps/500Mbps. Wireless/Wifi/Satellite will always be slower.

It’s been an issue for the last 4 days and they can’t send anyone from NBN out until Monday unfortunately. But they know it is on NBNs side, so that’s a start..

Simon Biddle (@simonbiddle) reported@taipan168 Many corporatised, but publicly owned, entities provide great service. NBN is pretty good for example. Even Australia Post isn’t bad. Govt doesn’t have to equal bad and is much more preferable in monopoly and quasi-monopoly environments.

Darren (@DoodyDarren) reported@ianclarkeAU @CovfefeDnUnder The NBN cannot do it now, but the optic fibres it uses can. Only the gear at either end changes. There is not a wireless system in existence that could carry the existing load of the NBN, let alone future needs. Talk to a network engineer, please.
