roman tarnavski (@romant) reported from Sydney, New South Wales@ClaudeMandy @TimLonghurst @NBN_Australia we don’t need to go far to see a sensible separation of infrastructure and service provision - just across the ditch in NZ they’ve managed to preserve competition whilst investing in their country’s future
-
Thought Patrol (@Thought_Patrol) reported from Sydney, New South Wales@Optus @nbn down in Turramurra. 4G working. Been out for over 1 hour. No message from @optus to customers. Work from here with international clients and rely on consistent internet access. Almost like a third world country. We have to do better. Imagine the productivity losses!

Christian two jab 💉💉 (@cbiggins) reported from Sydney, New South WalesHaha @optus tech asking if we can use our backup 4g because they deleted our NBN service. Nope. No Optus mobile coverage here. It's like a bad dream.
-
Pat Devery (@patdevery125) reported from Sydney, New South WalesLNP Plans to date: Failed NBN, Failed Murray/Darling, Sports Rorts, Carpark Rorts, Leppington Triangle Rort, Aged Care, Quarantine, Vaccine Procurement, and the doozy - Net zero “as soon as possible”. Now? “Follow the National plan!” LNP: Planning To Fail #insiders

Robert Barnes CAE 🇵🇬🇦🇺 (@robertmbarnes) reported from Sydney, New South Wales@Optus still no nbn connection in Jannali. How many times you expect us to turn off and on the modem?! I’ll have 2/30 days worth of my monthly fee back thanks. Can’t work when you can’t provide the service. I’m done with you. #finalstraw
-
Philippe (@GabertPhilippe) reported from Sydney, New South Wales@markhumphries TBH, although I think they delivered a terrible service for the install. at my house, I was happy to only pay $300 for the « actual » connection of my house. (work on the street, weatherproof boxes on the house, etc.). The overall process must have cost NBN more than $300.

𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘁 (@ColinJPettitt) reported from Sydney, New South Wales@NBN_Australia @Telstra Any chance if getting the internet issues in Neutral Bay sorted!!! 😡🤬
-
🌱 Diana Ryall AM 🌏🌈🇳🇿🇷🇼💧 (@DianaRyall) reported from Sydney, New South WalesWe are a decade behind with fast internet. Do you trust the #LNP to fix the #nbn? If not, #PutLNPLast

John Skinner (@johncskinner1) reported from Sydney, New South WalesDuring the big storm yesterday our @NBN_Australia box blew. Not being repaired until 20th! Some people are on their 9th box. Repair times are random with some repaired today, tomorrow & next week. @stemplemanmp doing a great job trying to help us & prevent regular reoccurrences!

Christian two jab 💉💉 (@cbiggins) reported from Sydney, New South WalesApparently @Optus has "deleted" (their words) my NBN connection. I have to wait 48hrs for their stuff up. Considering I've started moving my 5 phone services to @Telstra I think my NBN will be next. Been with Optus for sooo many years but lately wow it's been bad.
-
Ali (@alipage6) reported from Sydney, New South Wales@NBN_Australia @belongau do you have a contact number for constant outages with no wifi service outside of your ‘working hours’? Where’s the compensation for fees with no service?

LachlanB_ 🌏✈️🏈🏏 (@LachlanB_) reported from Sydney, New South WalesHelp needed from the tech nerds please! If I change my NBN provider due to a better deal, do I need a new modem? Are they "locked" similar to mobile phones? First NBN company included a modem as part of the deal. Can I use it if I change providers? TIA. 🙏
NBN Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Susan (@puxiesmt) reported@jeff32567916 @australian He recognised that NBN via wifi (using mobile phone network) is a bad idea, when the mobile phone towers back up battery's go flat (couple if hours) we have no communication at all, we should all still have wired communication but we don't so it's very easy to switch it all off
-
Andrew Godman (@Andrew_Godman) reported@onurcam @tzk1810 Kinda slow compared to fibre. Misses the point that Tony screwed the nbn and ended up spending just as much as a fibre network was going to end up being
-
RocK_M (@RocKM16827690) reported@grave0x @robb_j_m AFAIK There is no "free roll out" of FTTP. If you are on an FTTN network the homeowner has the "choice" to fork out money for the property to be upgraded to FTTP. If you are on the Coax/HFC network you are **** out of luck as the best NBN can do is try increase line bandwidth
-
Yvonne (@YBartolovic) reportedLots and sometimes can’t even get 1mpbs Not joking Not nbn though but still **** house
-
peter rowe (@Prowerock1) reported@AvidCommentator I have abandoned NBN. Service is atrocious as it is mediated through the Telcos. You can’t get to an NBN tech directly. They cancelled five appointments made for me via Telstra saying not an NBN problem. But it was just like the other three times. Now have Telstra 5 G. So simple
-
Cdbrown (@BrowntownBrew) reported@WaveTheoryUK @robb_j_m Hopefully your area will be enabled for the free fibre upgrade and you'll actually get the proper nbn rather than the crap LNP rolled out.
-
Mary Mary Quite Contrary🐭 (@biba_nova) reported@GATESDK We should really switch, we have no problems up at the property with the Starlink, but the NBN here in the city is pathetic, sick of hot spotting off my phone.
-
Tolly 🇦🇺 (@TolsonKiefer) reported@stevehearne7 @arbsmichael @Marilynrules1 A portion of Telstra was sold for $45b and the rest put into the future fund, totalling $54b+. Telstra is worth $62b right now. This was an excellent deal for Australia. Kevin Rudd introducing the NBN has nothing to do with Howard and Costello and it was also only $11b. Idiot
-
Charlie ****** (@charlie_mi53959) reported@TheKouk Including child care, the ABC etc. is only the first bit of where you’re wrong. Even if you include them in your list, they don’t put a dent on white elephants like the NDIS, NBN, and not to mention all the lost tobacco reve— oh, I’m sorry, I forgot you were a retard. Carry on.
-
Econo ad absurdam (@econoadabsurdam) reportedWhen the ALP talks up something like the NDIS or the NBN and says that it will help increase productivity, what do you think they mean
