@p4ndr_ @NewtonMark @wibbly @NBN_Australia The business model they created was never going to build the network that was promised.

@GDixon1977 @cscviews Yeo connect your computer to your personal bluetooth hotspot on your mobile and send them the Data bill . We never needed NBN. defunct already .

  • manaz_d
Robert Hudson (@manaz_d) reported from Sydney, New South Wales

To clarify - @NBN_Australia should not care what is encapsulated inside the layer 2 frames that pass over their network. Even if they were a layer 3 construct (so interested in IP transit), the contents of the packets they'd be responsible for should not concern them.

  • fictillius
Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, New South Wales

@ajpalm NBN’s woes have mostly been the result of a bad business model from day one. That aspect has never been addressed by anyone either. That business model was never going to deliver the promised network

  • kezz78
Kerrie Barker (@kezz78) reported from Sydney, New South Wales

So I got my @NBN_Australia service installed today. The technician came within the designated time frame, was really nice and installed the cable way quicker than I thought he would. And now I’m getting 44mbps which is exactly 10x faster than what I had on adsl 🎉 @TPG_Telecom

  • fictillius
Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, New South Wales

@NewtonMark @wibbly @NBN_Australia It’s been broken from the day it was conceived and was never going to deliver the network it originally promised. Everyone is caught up on blaming each other over the connection type while ignoring the massive elephant in the room.

  • bookman2805
Andrew (@bookman2805) reported from Sydney, New South Wales

@NBN_Australia It would be nice if you can fix your crap internet service before you start charging ridiculous fees

  • pfbt
Marquis d'Killara (@pfbt) reported from Sydney, New South Wales

While gov’t bodies force more & more transactions online while offering no alternative, there will be many who will not be able to afford the NBN (some effing service .. not) @NBNAustralia

  • p_terg
🔥₽๎ᝤᶒя ᶢ ᶃเ𐤄𐤄ᦳ𐌏ᠡ💧 (@p_terg) reported from Sydney, New South Wales

@Kathblue @Telstra We had a grey box too. Our current internet is 100mbps through the Foxtel infrastructure. They’re using that same infrastructure to supply the nbn(tm) and I have just agreed to go with @telstra bc they could provide nbn(tm) with same service as current cable internet #winning

  • mikeaubrey2
🇦🇺mikeaubrey🏳️‍🌈 (@mikeaubrey2) reported from Sydney, New South Wales

@vogrady2132 @GeorgeBludger If you can get 100....I pay for 100 but get 43 @ best.......NBN totally stuffed up by LNP Government with help from Murdoch......watch the cost taxpayers will pay to fix & LNP will walk away scott free

  • TomRagen
Tom Ragen (@TomRagen) reported from Sydney, New South Wales

Telcos @Telstra & @Optus are looking under the lead of the @NBN_Australia to charge people more for the use of streaming videos services! #No! Absolutely not! We are already paying for internet service. If you add this new charges it’s a ***** money grab! #WTF

  • JamesMaccajim
James (@JamesMaccajim) reported from Sydney, New South Wales

@RantRacing I live a few suburbs away had same problems it’s nbn messing with cables. I thought it was an old computer got a few new ones made no difference. Hard to even watch nsw replays last week.

  • manaz_d
Robert Hudson (@manaz_d) reported from Sydney, New South Wales

@NBN_Australia @iTnews_au Start by un-breaking the existing failed commercial model then, rather than doubling down on the mistakes.

  • fictillius
Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, New South Wales

@wibbly @NewtonMark @NBN_Australia Yep. Bursting costs the network nothing, just using existing capability when it isn’t being utilised.

  • stevenbradleyau
Steven Bradley (@stevenbradleyau) reported from Sydney, New South Wales

@NBN_Australia the NBN is down in my street can you please fix it, it’s been down for 2 days. Out of the 6 days we have had it I would say it goes down 35% of the time.

  • TheRobinsfromOz
Leonard R. Gregory (@TheRobinsfromOz) reported from Sydney, New South Wales

@trevorlong @EFTM That's the NBN problem ..... I'll be 100% wireless once the kids have left home. Cord cutting is the ultimate for me. On device VPN and I can then get it from anywhere in the world.

  • fictillius
Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, New South Wales

@BDC8495 There is no issue. The CVC is an NBN restriction on speed even though there’s a gig interface in my garage

  • TheRobinsfromOz
Leonard R. Gregory (@TheRobinsfromOz) reported from Sydney, New South Wales

@EFTM @trevorlong They are 0 and 1 thats it. Just charge those who want streaming at a particular speed more. Thats what every other business in life does. Supply and demand sets the price. NBN is a flawed business model - thats more the issue.

🇦🇺mikeaubrey🏳️‍🌈 (@mikeaubrey2) reported from Sydney, New South Wales

@Triplejay58 Me2...I'm paying for 100 getting 43.....fttc bloody disgraceful LNP has broken our NBN

@NBN_Australia Great news… but when will you properly fix the week long problem in Chatswood 2067 that is currently onto its 6th lengthy outage in a week?

  • megrburgess
    The Meg 🦈 (@megrburgess) reported

@NBN_Australia My issue isn’t with maintenance, I understand that needs to happen. We weren’t notified at all, which didn’t allow sufficient time to make alternative arrangements. Majority of people who are able to are now working from home & as our sole provider, you’ve massively let us down.

  • DodoAustralia
    Dodo (@DodoAustralia) reported

@SteveSeymour16 We definitely wish to connect you without delay too, Steve. Most nbn™ connections take 3 to 10 business days, although it can also be up to 20 days depending on the service available. Checking if you've raised an online ticket via My Dodo? - Gwen

  • MarxOutThere
    MarksOutThere (@MarxOutThere) reported

@Telstra Ouch. Was happy to migrate to NBN but they dont do relocation of phone socket, so they suspended my service to strong arm me into the $150 "Telstra platinum" charge to move the socket from the garden shed to the main living room.

  • TimCPalmer
    Tim Palmer (@TimCPalmer) reported

@NBN_Australia Your response neatly encapsulates the whole problem Rosemary. Of courseI have contacted my service provider each time (hours spent on hold). That achieves what exactly? What I want is accountable service from the network operator - you- and for the problem to be fixed properly.

  • finaa
    Fina (@finaa) reported

Abso horrendous service from @Optus @NBN_Australia still without internet a week after moving. Impossible to get through to anyone. Tech doesn't show up to fix it. How can I get this sorted asap pls?

  • TimCPalmer

@NBN_Australia Your CIO speaks loftily about connected worlds but in reality her company won’t even connect with end users, preferring to hide behind retail service providers

@SpudBenBean A few people on Twitter have reported those. I had some **** warbling on about the NBN on my landline today. My response: “NBN? Don’t talk to me about the NBN! Bloody thing never works, cuts out, runs slow. Always being upgraded but who would know?” Him: “Click.”
