John Lutge (@JohnLutge) reported from Sydney, New South WalesThe @NBN tech came. The carrier signal strength is - 15dB. Max is - 10dB. So it's too weak to work. But it's raining, and their test equipment isn't waterproof. So they couldn't check the connection box at the side of the house. So, day off work for zip. @Telstra

Sagittarius A* (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, New South Wales@ScottRhodie It’s so stupid that developers are even allowed to do this. They should be required to install the fibre and provide the hand off to NBN. Same for embedded energy networks too.

-
M (@imboudee) reported@THATS_RIGHT_YA @robb_j_m I doubt that’s a problem with the NBN infrastructure and perhaps more to do with your provider (TPG). I’m not sure what a 20 cm network cable has to do with much. At gigabit speeds I’d suggest a Cat7 network cable, to be sure to be sure. They’re fairly cheap nowadays.
-
Patrick Houston (@PetrucHouston) reported@news_australian No losers, we want Pauline. Stop trying to pave the way for the election fraud that controls this shitshow. Over 100%? Wtf does that even mean? Perfect NBN? Are you fkn serious? He’s a WEF globalist shill.
-
Duchess of Exeter 🌏 (@WhosFibbing) reportedThe three telcos and government-owned NBN Co were left reeling when the regulator rang to notify them of its final pricing decision – a token $20m reduction to renew spectrum licences essential for carrying mobile signals. ACMA’s decision will result in the sector collectively paying peak market rates of $7.32bn to roll over their existing spectrum holdings as licences begin expiring from 2028. Much of that cost will find its way on to customer bills. More inflation incoming!
-
Bennyboy1 (@bennyyy_boyyy) reported@Starlink Update: customer care sent me the kit via express post and gave $25 credit. Installation went ahead smoothly as per schedule and very happy so far. No more crap NBN that Telstra put up their prices to $115 per month for 50mbps but my Starlink gives me 100mbps for $75 per month
