**** the #nbn been crap all afternoon on again off again. Losing stuff I upload to God knows where. WTF 65th in the world and falling. And if #nbn tell me to contact my provider I will scream. ITS NOT MY PROVIDERS FAULT.

  • AUSFestivus Purveyor of the best dog content (@AUSFestivus) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@daunce_ @NewtonMark @NBN_Australia Get your uptime robot to @ the NBN Co account every time it goes down.

  • TracyMcNamara6 Tracy McNamara (@TracyMcNamara6) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Guess I’m lucky I’ve just lost NBN and Foxtel, still have power Very scary storm, some big branches down but luckily no trees

  • oceanswims oceanswims (@oceanswims) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Hey @Telstra, how does this work... I cancel a broadband cable that I’ve had with you for years to avoid being forced onto NBN, and instead I commit to you for 3 years with home hub. And you want to charge me cancellation fees. Please explain the sense in that.

  • thepatrick Patrick Quinn-Graham 🏳️‍🌈 (@thepatrick) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Oh goody, half an hour in to an NBN outage. Technology hates me lately.

  • bigmig81 ⚫️⚪️🔵Michael ⚫️⚪️🔵 (@bigmig81) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Nice work @Telstra ... issues with internet, " system glitch" inability to have an NBN connection processed and no real time frame for having it rectified...at least you offered the disconnection team 😂

  • jasonbak Jason Baker (@jasonbak) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

I really can't wait until I have 5G coverage so a can shove the NBN where it belongs. Sick of dealing with ISP technical support.

  • gb_satishkumar Satish Kumar (@gb_satishkumar) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Telstra @NBN_Australia I can’t wait anymore to have my NBN DROPOUT compliance fixed that is on going from October 22nd. There were multiple calls with your customer service but no progress yet. Compliance reference 1-2258 557 835 814

  • AUSFestivus It's dogs all the way down (@AUSFestivus) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@GordyPls The concept of over provisioning a service to account for header and encaps overhead isn’t new and has been a standard WAN product factor since before NBN was born. NBN chose to do this solely because they don’t exist to satisfy consumer sentiment. 🙄

  • camozspurs Cameron Whyte (@camozspurs) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Kezzacarpenter @Optus Yes but it’s working ok now they have there own NBN support team and you get a case manager so not as bad as I thought

  • deepchild 𝔇𝔢𝔢𝔭𝔠𝔥𝔦𝔩𝔡 / 𝔄𝔠𝔥𝔞𝔯𝔫𝔢́ 🌱 (@deepchild) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@frogworth Life hack - spend your day in any icy cold Sydney bus on constant loop, tethering 4G on your laptop because the NBN sucks anyway. Cheaper than a co working space.

  • Jock500 Keith Stewart (@Jock500) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@telstra your outage page showing an outage of the NBN in postcode 2087. Cant get any info on how long it’s expected to be down. Have tried all your websites etc. do you have any idea

  • mikeaubrey2 🇦🇺mikeaubrey🏳️‍🌈 (@mikeaubrey2) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@deniseshrivell Agreed.....but let's wait for the screams when MSM & taxpayers find out the cost on them to fix.........LNP stuffed up our NBN 👎🏿👎🏽👎🏼🤡🤖💩

  • manaz_d Robert Hudson (@manaz_d) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Originaltibbedy @marckean @NickRossTech @TurnbullMalcolm @NBN_Australia @matt_barrie @Aussie_BB It is my understanding that backward compatibility is limited to a version or two. One of the big delays in Telstra going to DOCSIS3 was apparently because they had old kit (theirs and customers) still on the network.

  • fridley James Fridley (@fridley) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

So now if I want to connect the $380 device we were sold to fix the poorly working backup connection while we wait for the poorly ordered NBN location move to be completely cancelled before it can be re-ordered correctly, I need to buy another sim card for $80/mth to make it work

  • NudgerSS 'Nudger' Needham (@NudgerSS) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Australian broadband has to be amongst the worst in the world. Constantly keeps dropping out. NBN sort yourselves out.

  • mikeaubrey2 🇦🇺mikeaubrey🏳️‍🌈 (@mikeaubrey2) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@lynlinking Blame LNP Government for this, they have stuffed up the NBN & won't be told, won't discuss, won't write down the $51+bn & therefore taxpayers pay twice, once for build & second for overpriced connection deals through RSP's.......LNP were warned......watch how much this costs us

  • Jess_ms Jess (@Jess_ms) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus cutting off all internet with zero notification of NBN cutover date and 1 hour later chat people zero help. Only work from home and studying for masters online. Ombudsman tomorrow, yet again.

  • fictillius Quiet, Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@NewtonMark @NBN_Australia Heh. Big T are proposing to use NBN FTTB to deliver an enterprise service to our office in the CBD. I think I’ll decline and use a provider that brings their own pipe in.

  • manaz_d Robert Hudson (@manaz_d) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

    @Idealaw @NickRossTech @kcarruthers @TurnbullMalcolm @NBN_Australia @matt_barrie @Aussie_BB Reminds me, I need to cancel my Telstra Bigpond account now I am on @Aussie_BB NBN...

NBN Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • illuminol Illuminol (@illuminol) reported

twitter has slowed to a crawl for me. The nbn is absolute **** in Australia - thanks to the #LNPCorruptionParty & the #Murdochmafia. How much failure, waste, corruption and scandal will it take to rid ourselves of these bottom feeders?

  • TheMikeOD Michael O'Donnell (@TheMikeOD) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

The man at my apartment to fix my nbn just asked me how far over 40 I was and honestly it’s ruined my Mardi Gras.

  • Optus Optus (@Optus) reported

@mynameisiphone6 However we have found that many old occupiers have taken the NBN box (modem) with them not realising it stays at the property. On the other hand if your property never has NBN connection before then yes a new box is required. Kartik

  • Dunnymeister Dunnymeister (@Dunnymeister) reported

@toomanygain @ellji Formal complaint has been made, NBN Co has 48 hours to address

  • hilly_syd gjayh (@hilly_syd) reported

@Telstra It is very odd, but seems not unusual. NBN say no tech needed and self-install and boxes available for replacement for existing customers. Telstra give no reason why a tech is required. You seem genuinely interested for a resolution. Feel free to champion our cause. DM's open.

  • ellymelly Alexandra Marshall (@ellymelly) reported

So much for the #NBN, eh? You've all been very patient with my broken-interviews over the last few months, but I'm in Sydney now with a high-speed internet connection so that I can bring you better quality work. Sadly, I couldn't bring my vampire bookshelf with me. 😭

  • tweet_frankie Kathy Franco (@tweet_frankie) reported

@NBN_Australia Desperate measures - when will you fix the Internet in 2074. It has been up and down all day, grindingly slow, outages every second night or mid way through meetings daily. It is chronic and unacceptable to be paying for substandard services

  • Go_pies2013 C (@Go_pies2013) reported

@Telstra need urgent help with nbn connection, have been waiting since January! Please help!

  • smakelainen Sami Mäkeläinen (@smakelainen) reported

@tkodude @NBN_Australia Theoretically yes, but not if they all decided to actually do that.. Capacity on mobile will never equal what fixed can offer. The tragedy is the original NBN plan of near-100% FTTP would've been great.

  • BenFitz Ben Fitzsimons (@BenFitz) reported

What’s with @Telstra and @NBN_Australia disconnecting business land lines? 3rd business this week has lost their land line and internet without notice. All have been it will take 3 weeks to reinstate the phone line. Huge issue for small business.
