  • vijayarumugam Vijay Arumugam (@vijayarumugam) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus It looks like the Optus telephony is back. The Optus NBN is still down, now for over an hour. It's a nightmarish morning for Teams calls. What's the ETA? I'm managing my work with my mobile hotspot with Telstra. Those who have Optus mobile internet have no plan B.

  • AustGr3m Grem (@AustGr3m) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

At this point @Telstra I'm about one more useless support reply away from lodging a TIO complaint. Multiple NBN drop outs per day for a month, and support won't even book a technician, only 'watch for dropouts' Same issue every few years yet can't book a tech this time...

  • DTsirekas David Tsirekas (@DTsirekas) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

.@Optus Hello. If you can solve and progress a new NBN business account without the delays and promises that @Telstra have continued to fail at our business is yours

  • PezLP Pez (@PezLP) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Fuckkk meeee I’m sick of this NBN drop outssss. How ******** do I go just shy of a year with perfect net for it to turn absolute dogshit in the past 2-3 weeks.

  • debkasmar Deb Kasmar (@debkasmar) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Could you please give me an estimate @NBN_Australia of when the outage will be fixed in area 2086? Thankyou

  • prleeds Phillip Leeds (@prleeds) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Telstra Not so far, by the time I went to the service page, everything was back up to speed. I think it should be up to Telstra to sort it out with NBN rather than me have it to do it. That would be very good service.

  • catrionawallace Dr Catriona Wallace (@catrionawallace) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Trying to get @NBN_Australia via @Optus however #NBN did not turn up for the appointment and no contact ever since regardless of constant requests. Optus blame NBN and NBN have ghosted us. Super poor form from both. Thinking on how to escalate so that they both can hear 🤔

  • lyng62 Lyn (@lyng62) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@mausies @UpUpNulla Static IP is pretty standard. A bit crap service. I struggle especially because I understand how things work and being treated like a halfwit pisses me off I have fibre-optic cable from the Tele pole to my house for Optus for 20 yes NBN could not or would not use that cable

  • ccprincess_syd Carissa (@ccprincess_syd) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Telstra why has it taken over a week to get my @NBN_Australia connection up and running. Twice now the technician hasn’t shown up. Your service or should I say lack of it is PATHETIC #TELSTRAFAIL

  • AlpaB_ Alpa (@AlpaB_) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@VodafoneAU how is the nbn in Bondi Beach still down almost 12hours later?! This is ridiculous. It’s Monday morning and this is going to make working for many people very tricky!! Not to mention messing up anyone with Sunday movie night plans. Come on- get it together.

  • frontrunnerlea Jeffrey Quinn (@frontrunnerlea) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@AlboMP @KKeneally No more pairs Put the spot light on every minister not just #TheLiarFromTheShire who should be sidelined Taylor and why he is doing deals with Porky Barrellaro Attacks on Medicare by Hunt Fletcher and The NBN fail There must be a fail by McCormack in infrastructure

  • maxwell2022 Maxime Aoustin (@maxwell2022) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

  • BaysNet Jon Bays (@BaysNet) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Telstra 2087 The old cable network is fine ask NBN what black hole they are dropping me into. 4 hours yesterday today again can't pay for such an unreliable service.

  • Dave2307 David Li (@Dave2307) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Telstra #Telstra #NBN is down in #Oatley NSW area please fix. Reset my friend modem twice.

  • aussielunix Mick Pollard 🤠 (@aussielunix) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@dlutzy @NBN_Australia Not sure you can complain to them directly. I'd expect you'd have to go to your retail service provider.

NBN Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • fleshhost ***** Savant (@fleshhost) reported

@Takin_Thepis_s @Corleone_Roller That would explain the degradation of service from the NBN techs of late. I hate to see talent go to waste.

  • Brisbane4000 Capital (@Brisbane4000) reported

@redruby17 Yes. Today, both NBN and mobile with either drop outs and reductions in speed. Last 2 weeks, sporadic NBN with both drop outs (loss of modem lights) and reductions in speed. Sick of being told to, "Turn modem off and on. See no problem, all fixed". It's sporadic 😑.

  • golfman484 Driving change (@golfman484) reported

@smh @zoesam93 Even before Musk's StarLink: I have many colleagues in Sydney that cancelled their perfectly good NBN FTTH (Fibre to the Home) service and replaced it with mobile data modems in their homes. Lots of expensive tax payer funded fibre sitting in their front yard going to waste!

  • JJoshaaye Joshaaye (@JJoshaaye) reported

@isaacmcintyre @Aussie_BB @TPG_Telecom Unfortunately from my understanding, in cases like this, it doesn't matter which ISP you're with. You either have a ****** area or ****** lines which falls directly on NBN, and completely out of the control of ISP's. I can't speak highly enough of AussieBB & their service.

  • glengyron Likes which are based... (@glengyron) reported

@bradsprigg It's true, but NBN satellite has the same issues. They're generic satellite internet problems.

  • beccarala Tracking the Australian Right Wing (@beccarala) reported

@anne_twain @acccgovau Rural & remote dwellers had no option but wireless NBN or a terrible satellite service due to appalling mobile service

  • journalistagen1 journalistagendas (@journalistagen1) reported

@HenryTheEgg @KirstyLNeedham You have half an argument here. The Port of Darwin issue was 100% a bad decision. But on Huawei, the government blocked telcos from using them ( not just NBN, but all telcos).

  • hayesy316 Ben (@hayesy316) reported

@Bedeapk Look I don’t have a huge problem with the NBN, it’s certainly not the worst 50b the government’s ever spent. But pretending it had long term economic viability was delusional. I recall at the time that people were warning 5G & satellite wireless would do precisely this

  • dannolan dan nolan (@dannolan) reported

The nbn was a bad idea and has been poorly executed. Great job!

  • DaveyJohn_676 John Davey (@DaveyJohn_676) reported

@smh @zoesam93 It's a bit hard to claim Starlink is wrecking @NBN_Australia business, when they don't even provide a usable service and we're within 120km of Adelaide.
