@NBN_Australia I have taken this up with Telstra on 3 occasions. It's the old Foxtel cable. It apparently needs an upgrade. Not prepared to help

Daniel Watson Hayes™ (@dwatsonhayes) reported from Sydney, New South Wales

@NBN_Australia Hi there. Can you advise how I connect free to air tv via nbn FTTP? I've been told that my property falls under the NBNCo network and as such free to air television needs to be connected via NBN fibre. Please advise

  • mysticmel3
melinda salterod (@mysticmel3) reported from Sydney, New South Wales

@MrKRudd @AnnastaciaMP You are such an armchair critic, you failed in so many ways you are not in a position to criticise others, pink batts, nbn, the boats ffs, explain your actions on these issues and I swear I will never criticise you again

  • LachlanB_
LachlanB_ 🌏✈️🏈🏏 (@LachlanB_) reported from Sydney, New South Wales

@Lachlan_Mc That's my issue. Signed up to NBN contract when it (finally) arrived in my area, but now 5G is available it's actually way faster than my broadband. 🙄 Not sure how or who offers a big enough data package to allow streaming on the 5G mobile network. 🤷

Ms_Stevenson (@Ms_Stevenson_VP) reported from Sydney, New South Wales

@domnixon1984 @Internode @nbn I am going through this same mess at the moment. So poor. I understand things got wrong but the whole customer service process is a mess, I'm furious!

  • fictillius
Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, New South Wales

NBN is expensive and has stupid cost constraints on performance. So people are paying more and the network can’t operate as quickly as it could because of dumb things like CVC. Yet everyone is focus on the last mile tech

  • mattygeorge
Matt George (@mattygeorge) reported from Sydney, New South Wales

@Aussie_BB more outages today? The last few days have been terrible...so many outages?? Lift you game. #nbn #aussiebroandband #outage

  • leebailey11
Lee Bailey (@leebailey11) reported from Sydney, New South Wales

@Optus my NBN has been showing a reduced service for almost 24 hours and is still listed as ‘under investigation’. Any chance someone will get the investigation done soon. With downloads of 3.14mbps and uploads at 0.44mbps I can’t do anything currently

  • FlyOpineMonkey
Sir Darryl Adams (@FlyOpineMonkey) reported from Sydney, New South Wales

@ssharwood @NBN_Australia I would never expect to see anyone look at Telstra's horrible service system, and then set out to copy it but intentionally make it worse. But here we are. Related note: still no NBN connection in my new place...

  • dgaust
dg (@dgaust) reported from Sydney, New South Wales

@troyhunt @home_assistant @Aussie_BB You'll probably need to turn on smart queues on your UDM Pro (I think I recall you have one of these). Otherwise the NBN policer will throw a fit on uploads and you'll get horrible upload results.

  • mikeaubrey2
🇦🇺mikeaubrey🏳️‍🌈 (@mikeaubrey2) reported from Sydney, New South Wales

@isaacfloyd13 @PaulFletcherMP So another $480m spend on NBN.....an NB that they fkcd.....double what they said spend, 2years late & we are now 22 down the list WW....A total FU......overpriced, underspeed & full of spin

  • yeoldeguildford
Daniel Eastwood (@yeoldeguildford) reported from Sydney, New South Wales

@Telstra Yes NBN stuffed it up. They put our cable in the wrong port, or the other way around. Either way, it's fixed now, and your company didn't fix it. I still have an outstanding fault when I called the automated message 10 minutes ago. I need my account closed. Mobile to remain ...

  • dhawaldamania
Dhawal Damania (@dhawaldamania) reported from Sydney, New South Wales

  • BrowntownBrew
    Cdbrown (@BrowntownBrew) reported

@pigways @Batman2242 NBN satellites have been in service since 2013 that provided a significantly improved service for remote and regional areas. Starlink only arrived in the last few years. Perhaps Amazon was able to meet the design and contract requirements set by #nbn and starlink couldn't.

  • GarfieldR1966
    Garfield C. Reynolds (@GarfieldR1966) reported

@NBN_Australia My internet is still regularly broken. I constantly report the problems to my provider. Who asks me to wait while they check with NBN. And says you tell them work is ongoing but that no estimate is available for when this will be fixed!!! Thanks for the runaround

  • LevSzeps
    Lev Szeps (@LevSzeps) reported

@strangerous10 We already own the NBN, so why can't emergency services be run directly by the NBN?

  • Umai_NUTTERS
    Umai NUTTERS (@Umai_NUTTERS) reported

Was going to shock those who wondered why ive been offline for a month after the last internet issue and go New Financial Year New Stream, but alas the weather decided it was going to flood where the NBN lines run. I can download... just, upload is dreadful so RIP

  • OlgaTeresaMarr
    Olga Teresa Marr (@OlgaTeresaMarr) reported

@TheUSFeedX Yes I would because it’s a good service. But my service just went from $136 a month to $150 a month, yet the local NBN in Australia is about $85 a month.

  • 60YOGamer
    mutantmonkeybutt (@60YOGamer) reported

@PaulBongiorno Try living in rural Vic and getting an Australian made fixed satellite NBN service. Up until Starlink our snowfields resembled dial-up and we could not watch a streaming service without the loading circle popping up every minute or two.

  • KevinMe49077436
    Kevin Metcalfe (@KevinMe49077436) reported

@TheLucidyn @Batman2242 No, it was a very bad idea, the original OPAL idea was excellent, a public private partnership to lift rural speeds up to that of the cities and was costed at about $4 billion. Rudd screwed that up with massive mission creep and created the NBN.

  • Vision_iii
    VISION 🇦🇺 (@Vision_iii) reported

@Ryantlon @MarkDiStef How can land prices go down? Council contributions are up, electrical infrastructure costs are up, sewer/water infrastructure costs have more than doubled, NBN costs are up. Council/state requirements are significantly more. Cities are landlocked with land become more and more scarce. Impossible for land cost to go down. As to deregulation, what deregulation? They introduced the regulated design process and you now need to get a PCA who asks for a BCA report from a BCA consultant who demands fire penetration reports, fire engineering reports, facade reports, wind reports, waterproofing reports and waste reports. And that’s just BCA. A task that was previously performed by one consultant now needs at least 8.

  • Wombat_Ric
    Richard Neal (@Wombat_Ric) reported

@r0ck3t23 It wont effect providers as much as you think. We have the NBN in Australia and all that happened is everyone became resellers or add on service providers. The telco's wont disappear, they just wont have to pay for infrastructure anymore and become SpaceX resellers.

  • RaymondKeown3
    Raymond McKeown (@RaymondKeown3) reported

@Rexdinasaur I worked with Conroy on the original NBN & built the first site in Kiama, it was a disaster, it cost Transgrid $10 million, not one of NBN management had ever built a network, they had no idea, never understood the unique properties of Fibre cable, Conroy would simply not listen, one deal he did cost $800 million as a stuff up, I walked away & said to my people, everyone of our competitors will chase this, lets chase the business they ignore.
