  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@ajpalm NBN’s woes have mostly been the result of a bad business model from day one. That aspect has never been addressed by anyone either. That business model was never going to deliver the promised network

  • manaz_d Robert Hudson (@manaz_d) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

To clarify - @NBN_Australia should not care what is encapsulated inside the layer 2 frames that pass over their network. Even if they were a layer 3 construct (so interested in IP transit), the contents of the packets they'd be responsible for should not concern them.

  • mikeaubrey2 🇦🇺mikeaubrey🏳️‍🌈 (@mikeaubrey2) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

    @NickRossTech @NBN_Australia WATFJ.....can't even provide a basic service now want extra for basic........still waiting for my fix....paying Telstra/NBN for 100 getting @ best 23.........they are "investigating"........🤔😁🤣🤣🤣

  • mikeaubrey2 🇦🇺mikeaubrey🏳️‍🌈 (@mikeaubrey2) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Triplejay58 Me2...I'm paying for 100 getting 43.....fttc bloody disgraceful LNP has broken our NBN

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@wibbly @NewtonMark @NBN_Australia Yep. Bursting costs the network nothing, just using existing capability when it isn’t being utilised.

  • bookman2805 Andrew (@bookman2805) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@NBN_Australia It would be nice if you can fix your crap internet service before you start charging ridiculous fees

  • p_terg 🔥₽๎ᝤᶒя ᶢ ᶃเ𐤄𐤄ᦳ𐌏ᠡ💧 (@p_terg) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Kathblue @Telstra We had a grey box too. Our current internet is 100mbps through the Foxtel infrastructure. They’re using that same infrastructure to supply the nbn(tm) and I have just agreed to go with @telstra bc they could provide nbn(tm) with same service as current cable internet #winning

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@NewtonMark @wibbly @NBN_Australia It’s been broken from the day it was conceived and was never going to deliver the network it originally promised. Everyone is caught up on blaming each other over the connection type while ignoring the massive elephant in the room.

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@p4ndr_ @NewtonMark @wibbly @NBN_Australia The business model they created was never going to build the network that was promised.

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@BDC8495 There is no issue. The CVC is an NBN restriction on speed even though there’s a gig interface in my garage

  • manaz_d Robert Hudson (@manaz_d) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@NBN_Australia @iTnews_au Start by un-breaking the existing failed commercial model then, rather than doubling down on the mistakes.

  • grantcairns Grant Cairns (@grantcairns) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@charlietech @Optus @NBN_Australia We had the same experience and @Optus even sent us a payment reminder after service cut off.

  • pfbt Marquis d'Killara (@pfbt) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

While gov’t bodies force more & more transactions online while offering no alternative, there will be many who will not be able to afford the NBN (some effing service .. not) @NBNAustralia

  • TomRagen Tom Ragen (@TomRagen) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Telcos @Telstra & @Optus are looking under the lead of the @NBN_Australia to charge people more for the use of streaming videos services! #No! Absolutely not! We are already paying for internet service. If you add this new charges it’s a ***** money grab! #WTF

  • kezz78 Kerrie Barker (@kezz78) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

So I got my @NBN_Australia service installed today. The technician came within the designated time frame, was really nice and installed the cable way quicker than I thought he would. And now I’m getting 44mbps which is exactly 10x faster than what I had on adsl 🎉 @TPG_Telecom

  • mikeaubrey2 🇦🇺mikeaubrey🏳️‍🌈 (@mikeaubrey2) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@NickRossTech @LJPatton @SaysSmithy @NBN_Australia @TurnbullMalcolm It never was going to work when LNP/IPA/MURDOCH interferred & destroyed Labors plan...& they were warned again & again...so now costs to fix will again be borne by taxpayers & it will be in the many billions. NBN will have to be written down b4 decent access prices are available

  • stevenbradleyau Steven Bradley (@stevenbradleyau) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@NBN_Australia the NBN is down in my street can you please fix it, it’s been down for 2 days. Out of the 6 days we have had it I would say it goes down 35% of the time.

  • mikeaubrey2 🇦🇺mikeaubrey🏳️‍🌈 (@mikeaubrey2) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@vogrady2132 @GeorgeBludger If you can get 100....I pay for 100 but get 43 @ best.......NBN totally stuffed up by LNP Government with help from Murdoch......watch the cost taxpayers will pay to fix & LNP will walk away scott free

NBN Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • drmeinoz 🇦🇺DOC🇦🇺 (@drmeinoz) reported

@Peter90666913 No issue her with Aussie broadband this month. Changed from Telstra coax to nbn and everything was sorted, had to ring twice for them to do something and no issues. Aussie call centre and very happy people. Plus their plan was very competitive and no contract.

  • JustASmallOne18 Queen Caitlin (@JustASmallOne18) reported

@JunAndNileAD We got nbn I think in late 2018 and in the last 2 years, I think our internet has cut out more than it did in the other 18 years I've been alive

  • dier02 Deir0.5 (@dier02) reported

@carly_solstice Dunno- which network were you thinking of? If its the NBN you will need both...they self-audit.

  • Geoff4273 🇦🇺 Geoff4273 (@Geoff4273) reported

@Peter90666913 Your mistake was allowing Foxtel to be your NBN provider. Please cancel and go with another provider. TPG is generally fairly easy to deal with. Then get Foxtel on. Trust me I deal with all these fckwits daily.

  • markhiscox Mark H (@markhiscox) reported

@chrismurphys @Telstra Had the same problems with service switching to NBN. After weeks of phone calls a guy in another state rang and they had sent all my details to his address. Ombudsman at least escalates problem but Telstra staff are conditioned to hearing inherent problems

  • psg_au Peter (@psg_au) reported

@Telstra I know what the on-going problem is, the NBN are not providing the correct infrastructure to support the networks speeds advertised. 25Mbps DL 9Mbps UP

  • OccupyMyGov Occupy Centrelink (@OccupyMyGov) reported

The government designed an income management system which leaves social security recipients without access to their only source of income when their dodgy nbn goes down which it does at the drop of a hat. Often for days or weeks at a time especially in remote communities.

  • ElleJayne93 Just tryna survive 2020 (@ElleJayne93) reported

I need to place a Woolies online order and my #NBN is down 🙄

  • GrahamTinkers Graham Tinkers (@GrahamTinkers) reported

@MKvaich I used to work for iiNet in tech support, NBN was a pain to troubleshoot!

  • David_Regen David Regen (@David_Regen) reported

@optus so northern beaches is in complete lockdown. NBN service sires and you cannot even be bothered to answer call or message just to report outage. Shame on you
