@Huw_Merlin @LNPvoterfail @deniseshrivell NBN don't call it a modem anymore...they call it a NTD, it's an brand ARRIS . Took them 47days last time to get here & less than 8mins to fix 2 off them....totally incompetent deal Telstra blames NBN blames Telstra, problem is, you dont have a contract with NBN, must use provider

@NewtonMark @wibbly @NBN_Australia It’s been broken from the day it was conceived and was never going to deliver the network it originally promised. Everyone is caught up on blaming each other over the connection type while ignoring the massive elephant in the room.

@wibbly @NewtonMark @NBN_Australia Yep. Bursting costs the network nothing, just using existing capability when it isn’t being utilised.

@dgaust @niall_bigscreen The increase in PoPs that was forced on the NBN was bad, and the decisions around CVC pricing should have been revised by Labor in the early days.

The nbn and internet situation in Australia is bad enough, but this whole situation has seriously stopped me ever, ever signing up with @Telstra again, and will adamantly be advising friends and family of the same. Never have I experienced such a lack of basic caring from staff.

@NickRossTech @LJPatton @SaysSmithy @NBN_Australia @TurnbullMalcolm It never was going to work when LNP/IPA/MURDOCH interferred & destroyed Labors plan...& they were warned again & again...so now costs to fix will again be borne by taxpayers & it will be in the many billions. NBN will have to be written down b4 decent access prices are available

@ajpalm NBN’s woes have mostly been the result of a bad business model from day one. That aspect has never been addressed by anyone either. That business model was never going to deliver the promised network

@Kathblue @Telstra We had a grey box too. Our current internet is 100mbps through the Foxtel infrastructure. They’re using that same infrastructure to supply the nbn(tm) and I have just agreed to go with @telstra bc they could provide nbn(tm) with same service as current cable internet #winning

@UrsusDropiticus @AtomicEconomics @BobBurn97207272 It’s not extraordinary lmao Overly generous Covid jobseeker supplements. NBN rollout ****** resulted in far cheaper than private retail pricing. Defence procurement overruns resulted in 10’s of thousands retaining employment. Slow tax reform on capital and property Etc…

If everything is digital, then government, and despots like Albo can track every damn cent we spend. That's communism. Holding us ransom will be easy. All govt. has to do is shut down the NBN (govt. owned), then all businesses will stop, and no one can buy anything

@veritas__vox I pay $85 for NBN broadband which has been steadily rising in cost lately. Had it for years. I don't game or teleconference. I STOPPED using it for Netfizz and other because there is so much garbage. So why am I paying for so much bandwidth. Screw it. I'm cutting the cable.

@NBN_Australia is an absolute extortion racket. A protectionist thieving public organisation with a captive audience delivering 3rd world “service” with no option but to pay their fees. No wonder everyone is going to Starlink & even they are in on the gouge… #nbn #starlink

I'm having trouble with my internet and the router keeps powering off. It's a little discoloured (from overheating) and quite old so I figure I need a replacement. I gather your internet provider no longer replaces them. Am looking at an Eero 7 for $297. Good choice? Y/N? #nbn

@NBN_Australia "dont worry, your existing service won't be interrupted when you convert to FTTP." Complete BS, within a week of the internal fibre works, my productivity reduced to nil on my copper connection. Thanks #NBN. And you've gone and deferred my connection to boot.
