Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@NewtonMark @wibbly @NBN_Australia It’s been broken from the day it was conceived and was never going to deliver the network it originally promised. Everyone is caught up on blaming each other over the connection type while ignoring the massive elephant in the room.
-
Steven Bradley (@stevenbradleyau) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@NBN_Australia the NBN is down in my street can you please fix it, it’s been down for 2 days. Out of the 6 days we have had it I would say it goes down 35% of the time.
-
James (@JamesMaccajim) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@RantRacing I live a few suburbs away had same problems it’s nbn messing with cables. I thought it was an old computer got a few new ones made no difference. Hard to even watch nsw replays last week.
-
Robert Hudson (@manaz_d) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@NBN_Australia @iTnews_au Start by un-breaking the existing failed commercial model then, rather than doubling down on the mistakes.
-
Graeme (@GamingFTWeekend) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
So after my internet randomly went down last when @NBN_Australia start doing work in Randwick, the NBN have concluded whatever they did last night in Randwick and the internet should be working. Except it's not. This is not how one is supposed to 'break the internet'...
-
Marquis d'Killara (@pfbt) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
While gov’t bodies force more & more transactions online while offering no alternative, there will be many who will not be able to afford the NBN (some effing service .. not) @NBNAustralia
-
Andrew (@bookman2805) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@NBN_Australia It would be nice if you can fix your crap internet service before you start charging ridiculous fees

-
AnnieLWells (@anniepinkstorm) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@PaulFletcherMP With the FTTP NBN this was a non issue as NTU was the modem. They ordered in bulk identical units for everyone on FTTP.
-
Kerrie Barker (@kezz78) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
So I got my @NBN_Australia service installed today. The technician came within the designated time frame, was really nice and installed the cable way quicker than I thought he would. And now I’m getting 44mbps which is exactly 10x faster than what I had on adsl 🎉 @TPG_Telecom
-
Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@p4ndr_ @NewtonMark @wibbly @NBN_Australia The business model they created was never going to build the network that was promised.
-
Robert Hudson (@manaz_d) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
To clarify - @NBN_Australia should not care what is encapsulated inside the layer 2 frames that pass over their network. Even if they were a layer 3 construct (so interested in IP transit), the contents of the packets they'd be responsible for should not concern them.
-
🇦🇺mikeaubrey🏳️🌈 (@mikeaubrey2) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@vogrady2132 @GeorgeBludger If you can get 100....I pay for 100 but get 43 @ best.......NBN totally stuffed up by LNP Government with help from Murdoch......watch the cost taxpayers will pay to fix & LNP will walk away scott free
-
MEGAN SAMUEL (@meggsie79) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@ernestjpnsw @NBN_Australia @TPG_Telecom Had the same issue with TPG. Switched to Vodafone NBN and much better quality of service
-
Leonard R. Gregory (@TheRobinsfromOz) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@trevorlong @EFTM That's the NBN problem ..... I'll be 100% wireless once the kids have left home. Cord cutting is the ultimate for me. On device VPN and I can then get it from anywhere in the world.
-
🇦🇺mikeaubrey🏳️🌈 (@mikeaubrey2) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@NickRossTech @NBN_Australia WATFJ.....can't even provide a basic service now want extra for basic........still waiting for my fix....paying Telstra/NBN for 100 getting @ best 23.........they are "investigating"........🤔😁🤣🤣🤣

Shout it👇🏿Out 👇🏿 (@atrueblueaussie) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@GDixon1977 @cscviews Yeo connect your computer to your personal bluetooth hotspot on your mobile and send them the Data bill . We never needed NBN. defunct already .
-
Leonard R. Gregory (@TheRobinsfromOz) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@EFTM @trevorlong They are 0 and 1 thats it. Just charge those who want streaming at a particular speed more. Thats what every other business in life does. Supply and demand sets the price. NBN is a flawed business model - thats more the issue.
-
Tom Ragen (@TomRagen) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
Telcos @Telstra & @Optus are looking under the lead of the @NBN_Australia to charge people more for the use of streaming videos services! #No! Absolutely not! We are already paying for internet service. If you add this new charges it’s a ***** money grab! #WTF
NBN Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Ryan Allen (@137ry) reported
@AlboMP I signed up for Starlink because where I live doesn't have cable, the copper is stuffed, and our only option was LTE. I'm getting download speeds LITERALLY FROM SPACE that exceed the top tier NBN plans. As a taxpayer who relies on internet for an income I feel very let down.
-
SC (@brainfrog10) reported
@PaulFletcherMP Oh please. You delivered a horse and buggy in a time of Jetson's aircraft. I'm on NBN and it's crap.
-
Left in Limbo (@Left_in_Limbo) reported
@kirstinferguson @NBN_Australia Interesting double-down. Not sure that'll work terribly well.
-
Dr Roger Wilkinson (@rogerwilkinson3) reported
@abcnews @InsidersABC @BreakfastNews So if they were, hypothetically, doing the numbers this week, can we expect Morrison to announce another cyberattack this Friday? Does it help that we have slow NBN?
-
Pat (@expat_2030) reported
@VickiPlatt5 Is Jane Norman advised by @macsween_prue ??? Prue went full stupid liar re her NBN claims today in support of Minister Paul Fletch’s claims that NBN is a huge LNP success story! Lying is ingrained in Morrison culture!
-
Tim (@tim_mo_tay) reported
@AlboMP Pfft. Cables. What about mobile spectrum? Wonder why Telstra happily sold its network to us? Wonder what they are spending their NBN cash on? NBN was a dud idea to start. It’s hurt competition and choice. It’s hurt quality of internet services. Government should have kept out.
-
ShortInterlude2 (@ShortInterlude2) reported
LIEbral Paul Fletcher trying to rewite history over the LNPs big NBN failure which cost billions and still continues to cost business billions because of its slow speeds.
-
Bernins 🐀 (@NinaGray3) reported
@PaulFletcherMP Labor was elected in Nov 2007. NBN was announced in 2009. First connections went live April 2011. LNP took government Sept 2013. So I would say 51k connections achieved in under four yrs from announcement is pretty damn impressive! #FactsMatter #auspol #NBN
-
dlambart (@dlambart2) reported
@MikeCarlton01 @deniseshrivell Pity the present NBN is slow and prone to failure. This “fibre to the node” is not the one that Labor proposed when they were in government. Murdoch didn’t want it interfering with his Broadband and Chrome cast.
-
DJ (@dujles) reported
@PaulFletcherMP Hahaha. Your NBN is a laughing stock in the tech industry. Nobody would ever roll it out like you regardless of any supposed cost savings (which never materialised).
