Vikram Singh Mann (@vikrammann76) reported from Sydney, New South Wales@NBN_Australia @AustralianOpen You guys are the worst to deal with no way you should be involved in any national events
-
Lee Bailey (@leebailey11) reported from Sydney, New South Wales@Optus my NBN has been showing a reduced service for almost 24 hours and is still listed as ‘under investigation’. Any chance someone will get the investigation done soon. With downloads of 3.14mbps and uploads at 0.44mbps I can’t do anything currently
-
JPMasters (He/Him/They/Them) (@JPMasters) reported from Sydney, New South Wales@lesstenny @RNBreakfast I wasn’t listening this morning, but my thoughts are, rain - our infrastructure never considered there would be rain, mobile coverage infrastructure not keeping up with demand (I am 13km from Sydney GPO on a high point - hopeless with both Telstra and Optus), and NBN no doubt.
-
Mark Leveson (@MarkLeveson) reported from Sydney, New South WalesMorning @2GB, you’ve got app issues again. It keeps cutting out and and one stage we heard Ben ask the Astro guy the same question four times. Now nothing. Our download is 108Mbs and upload 32Mbs, ping 13Ms. Our NBN’s working fine.
-
Thought Patrol (@Thought_Patrol) reported from Sydney, New South Wales@Optus @nbn down in Turramurra. 4G working. Been out for over 1 hour. No message from @optus to customers. Work from here with international clients and rely on consistent internet access. Almost like a third world country. We have to do better. Imagine the productivity losses!
-
Steph the sarcastic sequin (@Steph_Simmons89) reported from Sydney, New South WalesMy mum broke her femur on Wed, and my brother is a non board member of the NBN. These 2 pieces of info are important because today dad -annoyed the NBN is down at home- said to my brother, “it’s a good thing our healthcare system works better than our internet” and wow savage 💀
-
Sagittarius A* (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, New South Wales@ScottRhodie It’s so stupid that developers are even allowed to do this. They should be required to install the fibre and provide the hand off to NBN. Same for embedded energy networks too.

🇦🇺mikeaubrey🏳️🌈 (@mikeaubrey2) reported from Sydney, New South Wales@adamajacoby @davejeffress82 Me2....what has he got to do to wake Australians up.....rorts, cheats, lies, hides, bullshits, announces, robodeaths 2200, NDIS totally stuffed up, NBN, Sub stuffup, $4+bn payment to France.....the list is endless....and still people "support" his band of crooks & misfits
-
Josh Maddison (@eljosho1102) reported from Sydney, New South Wales@PipThomas @PressStartAU Similar thoughts from me, I’m impressed with how well it does run on my 10 MB/sec FTTC NBN connection and given it is a beta service I can definitely agree the input lag is something that will need to be accepted for now until it is tweaked a bit to run better on the NBN
-
Marty K (@_marty_k) reported from Sydney, New South Wales@Aussie_BB I’ll have to call in later, but you definitely have the updated email as I’ve been getting invoices there for many months now. Is there a separate system that sends out the NBN outage notification that doesn’t just use current email on file?
-
🇦🇺mikeaubrey🏳️🌈 (@mikeaubrey2) reported from Sydney, New South Wales@isaacfloyd13 @PaulFletcherMP So another $480m spend on NBN.....an NB that they fkcd.....double what they said spend, 2years late & we are now 22 down the list WW....A total FU......overpriced, underspeed & full of spin

-
Matthew Jones (@matthewjonespga) reported from Sydney, New South Wales@Telstra if my NBN is down why isn’t my 4g backup working? Have re booted, blue lights on??
-
Philippe (@GabertPhilippe) reported from Sydney, New South Wales@markhumphries TBH, although I think they delivered a terrible service for the install. at my house, I was happy to only pay $300 for the « actual » connection of my house. (work on the street, weatherproof boxes on the house, etc.). The overall process must have cost NBN more than $300.

-
Kate (@KateWarren82) reported from Sydney, New South Wales@NBN_Australia @iiNet do you think the #darlingpoint planned outage for 11 hours tomorrow is really fair, given we have an unplanned power outage now in this area. NBN has been out since after 1pm.
-
Phillip Leeds. @PhillipLeeds@aus.social (@prleeds) reported from Sydney, New South WalesGood service from Telstra. Lightning strike fried our NBN box on Saturday afternoon, called Telstra who booked a technician to replace it this morning. He’s just been, all sorted.
-
Amanda Hogan (@hogesonline) reported from Sydney, New South WalesFrom @Optus : NBN will be down all day Thursday. You'll be cool hotspotting from your phone right? #remotelearning
-
Serious Bec (@SeriousBec) reported from Sydney, New South WalesWaiting for our NBN outage to be fixed …seems they can’t find a technician that isn’t off isolating with COVID ..so now we could still die from COVID & looking likely may die of starvation to now poss dying of Bordem! ..you fckn ******** #Domicron
-
Julien Goodwin (@LapTop006) reported from Sydney, New South Wales*sigh* Yay first tier ISP support, more interested that they don't know my date of birth (for obvious BS "security" reasons. Supposedly escalated to NBN, which doesn't actually seem like the correct next step, but oh well.
NBN Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Nicolas (@nicomb88) reported@NBN_Australia internet outage since yesterday and still not resolved. Internet provider has no clue what the issue is nor when it will be fixed. Never received any notifications from nbn. You guys waited until Friday to ruined people's weekend? Good job guys.
-
Scott 🇬🇧🇦🇺🇺🇦 (@skinthent) reported@ruicharadrius If your wifi is bad, get a different AP. It is exactly the same wifi standards used globally. Or do you mean your internet connection? That isn't wifi. I have FTTP NBN. It works fine.
-
WhatYouThinkIThink 🇦🇺♥️🇺🇦 🔴🟡⚫️ 🇮🇱🇵🇸 (@WhatYouThinkIT1) reported@loftwah The NBN was deliberately ****** by Abbott for 2 reasons: a) he was ratfucking Turnbull, and b) Murdoch didn't want his HFC coax stranded. Nuclear never has and never will be financially appropriate for Australia.
-
Mark Fermor (@MFurball) reported@Michz45 And you seem to think giving the government more money will actually benefit those services. Why do you think the gov does not get involved in baking bread? Because it would taste **** and cost $100 per loaf. That's your Medicare, NDIS and nbn to name a few
-
Hasaan (@shanihashmi) reported@sharmilafaruqi Pakistan should seriously consider an expanded National Broadband Network (NBN) style rollout similar to Australia’s model. A nationally coordinated fiber backbone could reduce duplication, improve rural connectivity, lower long-term infrastructure costs, and ensure faster, more equal internet access across the country.Private ISPs can still compete at the retail level, but broadband infrastructure itself should be treated as a long-term national strategic investment. At the same time, Starlink licensing should move quickly through the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority. To capture the market, Starlink will likely introduce pricing that is affordable for ordinary people, especially in underserved and remote areas.
-
Chris from Katunga (@Hymie313) reported@Carlsie555 Depends if it is a provider or NBN hardware issue. We’ve found Aussie Broadband to be good to deal with and reliable. I can’t remember who the kids are with. I’d have to check.
-
Pelli69 (@pelli_69) reportedanyone else with @Optus ? Have spent almost 6 hours with them online today trying to arrange an NBN service for when I move, transferred to numerous different agents only to have them tell me thay cant help me as originally promised. @Telstra here I come
-
Erick (@Erick0341) reported@KathleenWinche3 NBN, **** happens when you’re stupid.
-
SydneyCityTV (@SydneyCityTV) reportedA pity I didn't see how tonight's Dalts report played out on NBN News, would've been rather funny if Natasha Beyersdorf (who I think may have even worked alongside Kevin at Prime Tamworth, but I'm not 100% sure of that) made a "I think I've seen Kevin on another network" quip! 😜
-
Julie Burgess (@julieburgess623) reported@Telstra for 5 days now we have been unable to watch Foxtel as our internet speed is 4.49 as per their consultant. We have contacted NBN who told us to contact Telstra. The person there said the problem is our modem which it is not. We need a solution please Telstra.
