Carolyn M Cash (@CarolynMCash) reported from Tamworth, New South Wales@DaisyCousens @clementine_ford I’m using it too but not earning enough to give up my day job ... yet! Most people want access to contest but don’t want to support me as a writer, because they expect everything on the Internet for free. They don’t realise writers have bills to pay, including @NBN_Australia!

💥Dr Robb 🎓Social conscience? Follow me. No MAGA (@robb_j_m) reportedI'm paying about $100/month for Optus/NBN, and lose connection at least twice a week for a few hours. Today I got a text from Optus saying that they're trying, apparently so far unsuccessfully, to fix what they helpfully called fault 754885. Anyone know what on earth this?

Retro MoJo 🇦🇺 🧡 (@Mac80277103) reported@GreenTyler27 Yep, our respective Government's have stunning track records of gross incompetence in the planning and rollout of large infrastructure projects, resulting massive costs overruns paid for by the tax payer. Remember Labor's start the original NBN "fibre to the premises" rollout and its massive unplanned cost overruns? Then along comes the LNP's moronic attempt to cut costs by a change over to a crap "fibre to the node" hook-up and other "hybrid" connection types. We still deal with this high cost to maintain mish-mash today this very day. End result, we've been quietly paying for the dismantling and replacement of the LNP's substandard "FTTN" with "FTTP" as originally planed, and thus, billion's $$$ wasted.

Rob Janssen (@pe1chl) reported@eevblog @MichaelSmicqfw Really? I think that was only in the context of your NBN being down for a week... Starlink (or any satellite internet) really isn't useful in a city like Sydney, and when lots of people insist on using it there it will only get more and more expensive. It is for rural areas.
