    @DaisyCousens @clementine_ford I’m using it too but not earning enough to give up my day job ... yet! Most people want access to contest but don’t want to support me as a writer, because they expect everything on the Internet for free. They don’t realise writers have bills to pay, including @NBN_Australia!

    Okay plan from here is 4G dongle until my Starlink is delivered and installed. Didn't really want this option but kinda got no choice cause NBN is stupid how they run things.

    @tim_blee You would think that if you relied on the mobile network to receive payments then you would have a backup should the particular network fail. Maybe have an Optus or Vodafone SIM card handy or re-route your payment system to the NBN? No sympathy for unprepared businesses.

    Australia is such a third world ********! Albanese has flooded this country with parasites, couple that with the fact that every nbn crew I see is full of browns and blacks, explains why I pay a **** ton of money for ******* dial-up speed Internet in 2026. JFC.

    @jera_nichols @jackieaus @Starlink I'm Northern Beaches Sydney. The slightest change in the weather or HAARP signals - Chem Trails, all affect the signal which drops out as a result. It also drops out at 6.15pm EST most evenings. I run another NBN service in tandem as I run an internet based business from home.

    @GreenTyler27 I cant remember even 1 gov project being completed on time and on budget. Completely the opposite, snowy 2 ..... How much has the NBN cost us! Jacinta spending spree! The list of failures never ends in Australia

    @geofiasco @DHughesy @aaronsmith Aside: Whether the Telstra sale was ultimately a windfall is contested. It raised $60bn to sell the assets, then we spent $60bn on NBN Co just to regain access to the assets sold and duplicate/upgrade the network we sold - and Telstra has paid something like $80-85bn in shareholder dividends along the way. In many respects, NBN shouldn't exist. It should have been the $80-85bn in "shareholder dividends" to the Public Owner that paid for the fibres to be laid - not a $60bn investment after a $60bn sale. But NBN was forced to be created after a now-shareholder-owned Telstra responded to how it might build a national broadband network with a non-compliant 12 page letter effectively saying "we won't - the copper wires are our privately-owned monopoly and we want to protect our market monopoly".

    @deniseshrivell fair point. In the rush for shiny new com tech the way we did it not always the best. NBN now means those of us with land lines cannot call 000 in a power blackout, or net outage. Before NBN we could. that dont make news much either,
