Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Toongabbie West and nearby locations:

  • manaz_d Robert Hudson (@manaz_d) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

To clarify - @NBN_Australia should not care what is encapsulated inside the layer 2 frames that pass over their network. Even if they were a layer 3 construct (so interested in IP transit), the contents of the packets they'd be responsible for should not concern them.

  • TheRobinsfromOz Leonard R. Gregory (@TheRobinsfromOz) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@trevorlong @EFTM That's the NBN problem ..... I'll be 100% wireless once the kids have left home. Cord cutting is the ultimate for me. On device VPN and I can then get it from anywhere in the world.

  • anniepinkstorm AnnieLWells (@anniepinkstorm) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@fuzzi_mcapples @YaThinkN First thing I did when I got NBN trial connection was get 2nd hand smart TV with streaming apps for Netflix US, Quikflix, iview, etc. Our digital TV service came much later than our FTTP #NBN.

  • kezz78 Kerrie Barker (@kezz78) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

So I got my @NBN_Australia service installed today. The technician came within the designated time frame, was really nice and installed the cable way quicker than I thought he would. And now I’m getting 44mbps which is exactly 10x faster than what I had on adsl 🎉 @TPG_Telecom

  • TomRagen Tom Ragen (@TomRagen) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Telcos @Telstra & @Optus are looking under the lead of the @NBN_Australia to charge people more for the use of streaming videos services! #No! Absolutely not! We are already paying for internet service. If you add this new charges it’s a ***** money grab! #WTF

  • GamingFTWeekend Graeme (@GamingFTWeekend) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

  • stevenbradleyau Steven Bradley (@stevenbradleyau) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@NBN_Australia the NBN is down in my street can you please fix it, it’s been down for 2 days. Out of the 6 days we have had it I would say it goes down 35% of the time.

  • atrueblueaussie Shout it👇🏿Out 👇🏿 (@atrueblueaussie) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@GDixon1977 @cscviews Yeo connect your computer to your personal bluetooth hotspot on your mobile and send them the Data bill . We never needed NBN. defunct already .

  • pfbt Marquis d'Killara (@pfbt) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

While gov’t bodies force more & more transactions online while offering no alternative, there will be many who will not be able to afford the NBN (some effing service .. not) @NBNAustralia

  • mikeaubrey2 🇦🇺mikeaubrey🏳️‍🌈 (@mikeaubrey2) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@abc730 Yep & take anything up to 47 days, to connect to existing connection....and you have no option & not even an agreement with NBN, you have to deal with a provider......so the blame game continues. Cost to fix, billions & billions......thanks Abbott and MT with help from Murdoch 💩

  • meggsie79 MEGAN SAMUEL (@meggsie79) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@ernestjpnsw @NBN_Australia @TPG_Telecom Had the same issue with TPG. Switched to Vodafone NBN and much better quality of service

  • mikeaubrey2 🇦🇺mikeaubrey🏳️‍🌈 (@mikeaubrey2) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Triplejay58 Me2...I'm paying for 100 getting 43.....fttc bloody disgraceful LNP has broken our NBN

  • anniepinkstorm AnnieLWells (@anniepinkstorm) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@PaulFletcherMP With the FTTP NBN this was a non issue as NTU was the modem. They ordered in bulk identical units for everyone on FTTP.

  • jasta07 James Carlton (@jasta07) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@I_Am_Simplex @NBN_Australia Have the same problem. Short answer is, they're trying to shovel ten tons of shit into a one ton bag and the shovel has been sitting out in the rain since 1975.

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@p4ndr_ @NewtonMark @wibbly @NBN_Australia The business model they created was never going to build the network that was promised.

  • TheRobinsfromOz Leonard R. Gregory (@TheRobinsfromOz) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@EFTM @trevorlong They are 0 and 1 thats it. Just charge those who want streaming at a particular speed more. Thats what every other business in life does. Supply and demand sets the price. NBN is a flawed business model - thats more the issue.

  • bookman2805 Andrew (@bookman2805) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@NBN_Australia It would be nice if you can fix your crap internet service before you start charging ridiculous fees

  • GamingFTWeekend Graeme (@GamingFTWeekend) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

So after my internet randomly went down last when @NBN_Australia start doing work in Randwick, the NBN have concluded whatever they did last night in Randwick and the internet should be working. Except it's not. This is not how one is supposed to 'break the internet'...

  • JamesMaccajim James (@JamesMaccajim) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@RantRacing I live a few suburbs away had same problems it’s nbn messing with cables. I thought it was an old computer got a few new ones made no difference. Hard to even watch nsw replays last week.

  • mikeaubrey2 🇦🇺mikeaubrey🏳️‍🌈 (@mikeaubrey2) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

  • DarrenDuff7 Darren Duff (@DarrenDuff7) reported

@LeeanneKenned17 @SkyNewsAust Get your facts right it was labor who designed the nbn with fibre to the household it was lnp in power that changed that plan and went cheap despite warnings from the experts now it will cost 22bil to fix it so don't tweet bs

@GWF61 @SincDavidson My Internet service 10 years ago in the US was 4x faster than what I get where I currently live in Australia today. And my internet in rural Oxfordshire was 2x as fast. I am on nbn and is utterly sh¹t. Oh, and its expensive.
