@AdamBandt @DiMunnings It’s not just mining, in 2019 the following companies paid 0% tax: NBN Co Ltd Stockland Corp Mirvac Lion Pty Ltd Chevron IBM Aust Ford Au Transurban Holdings GM Holden News Aust Pty Ltd ... and did so legally. Gov needs to stop bitching & fix the system that allows it!

@FreoLou @MatthewPassmor8 @FreoPope It's likely that your Internet is delivered over copper (FTTN) or possibly HFC. FTTN - depends how far the premises is from node. Has the problems with poor instalations, pits letting water leak in etc NBN HFC - uses higher frequencies than Telstra = dropouts. TI

@JennaPrice Could we have left the NBN up to private enterprise? Government used to do quite a bit of infrastructure. While I believe government should not be in business, we have had some horrible outcomes of outsourcing to the rest the world to build our govt stuff that hadto be remediated

It should have been 90% investment into wireless connectivity, then we wouldn't have wasted billions on useless costly infrastructure. My 5G wireless craps all over NBN speeds. @AsterSola My life story with internet is quite a doozy. Which leads me to Telstra, where I pay a painful $120p/m. The reason I do this is when the NBN does fail (& somewhat often) my modem automatically switches to the 4G wireless network. It's not as fast, but YouTube & games are np!

@BazzaCC I've read this thread, so I know I'm swimming against the flow here, but upgrading to W11 last month was a painless experience. I don't like apects of the new system, but the upgrade process itself was fine. Worst bit: long background download over NBN.

@Scamwatch_gov I have been receiving many phone calls from different mobile phone numbers the last few weeks and they claim that "we are Telstra and you have NBN connection issues". when I ask them their details, they just hung up. Can you investigate this?
