NBN Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Dave Jones (@eevblog) reported@asphotos Science isn't going to help when the system is clogged because the NBN is down and many thousands of people are trying to find workarounds. Telstra in the park has collapsed, and Optus is struggling.
-
Mary Spy (@mez_spy) reported@AjaxXanthe See if you can get extra mobile data from your provider. We had an NBN issue a couple of years ago & not sorted for more than 2 weeks. We could get additional data on mobiles or a dongle for home
-
Jim Stewart (@jimboot) reported@eevblog @Aussie_BB Been on on Starlink maybe 5 years. I can remember one outage because of a Solarflare. Wireless NBN was every other day. Good old Govt again
-
Graham Heathcote (@larry_the_van) reported@wilburston @robb_j_m $110 per month is more expensive than most NBN plans - unless you’re out of NBN range and need satellite, Starlink will never be better - it’s physically impossible.
-
𝒮𝒽❀𝓇𝓉𝓎 (@ItsMissShorty) reported@osborne_sam @robb_j_m Not your reply. Weirdos be replying to me, then blocking me before I can even reply. What in the actual ****? Semantics. I don’t need NBN. Or any kind of home wifi service. My mobile data suffices.
-
Rob Janssen (@pe1chl) reported@eevblog @MichaelSmicqfw Really? I think that was only in the context of your NBN being down for a week... Starlink (or any satellite internet) really isn't useful in a city like Sydney, and when lots of people insist on using it there it will only get more and more expensive. It is for rural areas.
-
Sharon Dresser (@DresserC33944) reported@dpoddolphinpro @Amazonleo @Starlink but ryan starlink is actually useable across most of the globe, leo isnt...and its latency is so slow is only good for wathcing the NSF streams , yeah its still faster than the NBN here in Australia with our crappy fibre to the node than four core coppeer to the home,
-
MR Reilly (@mrr78504) reported@econoadabsurdam @LeeRespecter The NBN might plausibly have increased productivity if it had retained its original scope (A FTTN fibre backbone network independent of Telstra that would allow telecommunication companies to compete on an equal footing). Instead it got rolled out first in Tasmania.

purana (@purana) reportedBeen trying for weeks now to get a NBN service (FTTN) connected for my mother. But TPG who she was with, and who she had service moved with just gave her the run around. They said it was provisioned, yet no DSL sync light and trying to get that resolved went in circles.
-
Baiaphilia (@baiaphilia) reportedWhat happened was what always happens when it's a project run by the government. It failed miserably, and went way over budget. The NBN was so bad I begged my provider to give me back my previous internet connection. But they couldn't because they forced them to shut it down.
