@MRowlandMP My telco just reoffered me broadband connection at a lower rate. I've noted that all the service interruptions for maintenance in the last couple of weeks have done nothing to improve the NBN.

@Aussie_BB why is it easier to change NBN provider than to change my payment details? I get times are hard, but this is getting stupid. Use your sales teams to back up your support teams.

@NBN_Australia @southeastwater @BaysideCouncil It's terrible and I wont be doing anything other than this. That's fine, we'll just wait till the whole street goes down and you have to drain the pits. @taipan168 And Telstra only faces minimum service guarantees in a very small component of the business where they continue to hold assets that used to be owned by the government. That's shrinking over time as the NBN buys out the copper.

@alanaustin001 @independentaus Would issuing Commonwealth government bonds to soak up surplus cash 💵 in the economy help bring down inflation??? The bonds could be used to find much needed infrastructure ie NBN, hospitals, schools,TAFE, ports, fast rail etc

@TMFScottP @Telstra @NBN_Australia Agreed. My provider offered broadband back as of all the problems in the area. I'm sure others had the same offer. I'm also sure it will improve one day. However school work needs to be done.

I wont be sitting on hold for 45 minutes and speaking to someone in Malaysia about problems in Australia that won't get looked at. This whole street has copped it. Litterally all of your hardware is underwater. Do what you will with this information 🤝🏼

This is my 5th message this year advising nbn co is doing running repairs on the lnp’s botched nbn. “Hi from Telstra. NBN Co are performing network updates in your area on 3 June 2022. Your internet service may be interrupted” - meantime it’s buffering & disconnects galore

@Telstra @Optus @amaysimAU Yeah seems like your whole network is down across Melbourne at least just went to the shops they couldn’t use 5G 4G anything but Nbn seems okay sort of I mean for Nbn in the city yeah it’s out of the usual expected level of a yes. My mum always said.

organised an nbn visit because my modem and box stopped working when I plugged them back in. Several hours later, a very nice technician gently lets me know that one of the plugs is in the wrong socket. I am never going to emotionally recover from this

@JulianBurnside I gave up on them years ago. Rude. I gave up on NBN. Totally crap. I have Optus mobile broadband and hotspot my laptop. $39 month 60 gb allowed I never use it all and watch catch up tv a bit.

@JulianBurnside We're with DODO, we had an NBN problem they contacted NBN problem fixed in a day. Very rare to have a problem but always fixed quickly.

@JulianBurnside Tried for six months to get Telstra to hook up our NBN. They literally couldn't be bothered. A "technician" came out, kicked the dirt and said, Nah. I called Skymesh to see what they could do. Two days later it was up and running. Telstra is the worst.

@NBN_Australia no service in Forest Hill VIC for 8+ hours. It took 2 hours for the disruption page to even acknowledge an issue, and still no indication of when service will be back. Shameful.

@JulianBurnside I complained to Vodafone about my terrible service. (NBN). They gave me a cube thingy that works on the same data as a phone. It costs a bit less than the NBN and hasn’t dropped out once. Very impressed.

@JulianBurnside Indeed it is. They left my 93 yo blind and nearly deaf mother and her carer without their priority phone for 4 days after switching to nbn. Finally I had to fix the problem after getting no help from Telstra after countless hours spent on numerous call to their overseas helpline!
