  • JamesCridland James Cridland (@JamesCridland) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@DwdDave @adambroach "Old" Aussie broadband - 120M down, 4M up. When I "upgrade" to the NBN, I'll have 100M down, 20M up, for $40 more a month. I have to upgrade by the end of next year, though not in much hurry.

  • JohnnyLydon jk (@JohnnyLydon) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@vogrady2132 @RobbiePHannan @Bukumbooee @NickRossTech @delpjm @Kynes3 @Lellane @ABCmediawatch @Commsday @StevejCbr @jonaholmes48 Oh it’s great out in North Balwyn. Numerous addresses in our str have Telstra connections but don’t appear on NBN list. I got address added after a query at NBN booth in Doncaster. Then it disappeared, got it back but NBN site says no service till next May - next door has NBN!

  • Uberstooks Amber (@Uberstooks) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Alcove7 @NBN_Australia Yeah, nah thanks. If they force us to use it, they need to cover those ‘set up’ fees. And we still have the worst internet in the world

  • AntB77 Ant (@AntB77) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@jendudley Same boat though as you, I get about 120mpbs down in peak on cable. Only my upstream would improve with nbn

  • fbib Henry Sutanto (@fbib) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra when I was connected with cable, I can stream anything with no problem, since changed to NBN streaming live sport is horrible!

  • sharbuendia Shar Buendia (@sharbuendia) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Hi @Optus been trying to get in touch with your agents online via LiveChat. Still having poor NBn connection and can’t really use mobile data for all our accounts. Hope you can help!

  • millionsofmyles Myles Harris (@millionsofmyles) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@MarekRivers No. You'd have new NBN owned hardware etc if you had. It's not just switching over. It's contesting to an entirely new network and NBNCo provide you hardware to do it.

  • Michael_60 Michael E (@Michael_60) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@CherylCritchley @joffaboy66 @Honxqp NBN classic example. Original ALP concept was big, futureproof. Then Turnbull got hold of it and slashed it down to the mess we have today

  • warwickfilm Warwick Hughes (@warwickfilm) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Getting NBN today, finally I can have an already outdated internet service!

  • Uberstooks Amber (@Uberstooks) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

With most people having to transfer to the awful @NBN_Australia, we should NOT have to pay for the set up costs. We didn’t want this watered down useless service and should not be punished financially. My cable internet even on its bad days shits all over the NBN.

  • G1NCHY g1nchy 🚽 'd 🦐 🌏 (@G1NCHY) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Sheeds_au 5G - Cabled NBN to residentialwill be a white elephant. The core system might only be used by Service Providers to link back bone systems, and I think Australian tax payers, paid for it. Let's spend money so companies can bill us. #Howgoodisaustralia

  • BigO_CS Owain 🇬🇧 (@BigO_CS) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@MoeycQ @ManicMunday @OfficialSnypeR @Aussie_BB To a point that's true. I recently had an outage on my iPrimus line but my TPG was functioning perfectly. This at least skirts the issue if individual provider problems. But yeah if it's NBN you're ****** LOL

  • JarrodWeir JarrodWeir (@JarrodWeir) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

God dammit @Telstra. My cable internet has been down since Friday! Up until tonight, no outage has shown up on the outages site, although that’s NBN and says scheduled maintainance. On top of that, for some reason 4G is running at 2Mbps.

  • EmJaeCaer Michael Carmody (@EmJaeCaer) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@HyperionPlays @NBN_Australia My rule of management is “Blame falls Up”. It’s not the field techs fault, it’s the people above him in charge of training, planning, scheduling and QC. If he is an irreparable, untrainable **** up, then it is managements problem for not firing him and deploying him.

  • neil_killick Neil Killick (@neil_killick) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@StoneAdam @iiNet @eatdrinkwatch Yup, ombudsman is the way to go. This always happens with a connection fault - the provider blames NBN and vice versa, no one accountable, no one resolves the issue. You will get it resolved once the TIO is involved, and decent compensation.

  • Cram3073 Craig Morgan (@Cram3073) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra this is getting ridiculous with the outage in my area #3073 now we are out until the 24th June because some contractor stuffed up and dug the wrong cable. This started the week you sent me a modem to use on the #nbn once it’s activated but not giving

  • crackerscraigo Crackers (@crackerscraigo) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@NBN_Australia Connection was unsuccessful, problem in the street he says. 🙄

  • northonm31 Adam Corcoran (@northonm31) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Hi @Aussie_BB. Aware there was an outage earlier today, however we still have no connection on our devices from our NBN connection via wifi. Have tried powering modem off and on again with no results. Postcode: 3056. Please advise.

NBN Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • bittenbydesign Bitten By Design (@bittenbydesign) reported

@viveka @DDsD The only one who seems to benefit from this new media code is Murdoch. Funny how the announced NBN ‘upgrade’ (making it the same as Labors original plan) was followed two weeks later by Murdoch announcing Binge his online streaming service, seems like all LNP stuff points to him

  • MatHenderson5 Mat Henderson (@MatHenderson5) reported

@MyRepublicAU This page has never has any useful information. Have to rely on NBN status page for any real answers.

  • JustinAllingham Justin Allingham (@JustinAllingham) reported

@Telstra I am disgusted by the level of service and reliability I have received with you through the NBN. I want the service I pay for. I want the speeds I paid for. Expect referral to the TIO

  • phillipwmoore49 Phillip Moore (@phillipwmoore49) reported

Is there a worse customer service organisation than @Telstra? Wifi died. Not NBN fault according to Telstra. On-line to Telstra support from mid afternoon. At 7pm agent promises to reply in 30 minutes. 13.5 hours later still waiting. 2 people working from home must have wifi.😡😡

  • mickyDsloan MICHAEL (@mickyDsloan) reported

@stemplemanmp Just rang your Office about NBN such a useless service and support from telstra wastes hours. Down to 3mbps during rain this week!

  • marblewraith Matthew Rath (@marblewraith) reported

@MRowlandMP It amazes me you can still point to the damage Murdoch / LNP wreaked to the NBN by using FTTN and HFC. Yet right now you are in support of a "media extortion code" that will cripple Aussie small businesses with the fallout from google / facebook.

  • Fairbairn1Mel Melissa Fairbairn (@Fairbairn1Mel) reported

@telstracareers We have now had an internet outage for a week. We are in Sydney for goodness sake not in a third world country. It seems that you not only don’t provide a promised service but still charge to not get the service. No way will we use you for NBN. Do better Telstra.

  • aussiewongm Marcus Wong (@aussiewongm) reported

*Swoosh* is the sound of the planned service restoration time flying past... while a check of the NBN website says the outage time is now 1200 to 1500. ⌛

  • descry Descry 🇦🇺 // Twitch: DescryAU (@descry) reported

@iSinEcks So outside of this, at "20Mbps" to Sydney it intermittently drops WAY lower to a point it can't even handle 6000 bitrate to Twitch and drops frames (drops way below 3000 bitrate) for a couple seconds. Repeatedly, over and over. No issue huh? @NBN_Australia ur useless.

  • hyp3rstrike ~⛧ /usr/hyp3rstrike (@hyp3rstrike) reported

@craznar @NickRossTech @NBN_Australia (2/2) your rISP should be doing the follow up to push for a resolution and escalating it with NBNco beyond standard fault lodgement If they're not doing that, they're not doing what they're expected to do.
