  @GreenTyler27 Yep, our respective Government's have stunning track records of gross incompetence in the planning and rollout of large infrastructure projects, resulting massive costs overruns paid for by the tax payer. Remember Labor's start the original NBN "fibre to the premises" rollout and its massive unplanned cost overruns? Then along comes the LNP's moronic attempt to cut costs by a change over to a crap "fibre to the node" hook-up and other "hybrid" connection types. We still deal with this high cost to maintain mish-mash today this very day. End result, we've been quietly paying for the dismantling and replacement of the LNP's substandard "FTTN" with "FTTP" as originally planed, and thus, billion's $$$ wasted.

  @BassonBrain @Starlink Nationalist fools wasting taxpayers money. Imagine if every country wanted their own LEO constellation the performance would be poor it would be expensive and require endless subsidy's like Australia's NBN satellite service.

  @Marilynrules1 @stevehearne7 @arbsmichael The competition is basically at retail level and thanks to the nbn there's actually been an upgrade to the fixed line network so there's better service. Significant speed improvement and slight price increase.

  @HardwareUnboxed Have you tried on wired NBN? It's actually not too bad. (Tested Fortnite on iPad with the Xbox thingy that my son was trying)

  @grave0x @robb_j_m AFAIK There is no "free roll out" of FTTP. If you are on an FTTN network the homeowner has the "choice" to fork out money for the property to be upgraded to FTTP. If you are on the Coax/HFC network you are **** out of luck as the best NBN can do is try increase line bandwidth

  This is the argument for the #NBN few predicted: 1) Spend lots of money to build a national broadband network. 2) Spend even more money to make it Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) by default. 3) Private competitor pops up and offers comparable service, in more geographies, with zero Australian govt money. ....But where some are now (4a) Private competitor drives out public investment (4b) Private competitor CEO becomes hyper-partisan & divisive AND THEN (4c) They decide to use almost-monopoly power to hold citizens hostage with price increases. Kevin07 may have saved us, even if he didn't know it at the time.

  @Telstra @NBN_Australia when is my internet going to be fixed? I have been awaiting resolution of the issue since March 3, 2026. I have had 6 appointments cancelled because you allege you fixed it remotely! That’s BS!😡😡😡😡

  @Kgeeme @MRobertsQLD Totally agree, mate. That Hydro monstrosity and the FTTN NBN were a real waste - billions down the drain and we’re still stuck with rubbish speeds. How’s it been affecting you where you are?

  @LooksDodgy @robb_j_m was on nbn fixed wireless, got tired of the outages and billing issues with my ISP, shifted to starlink. faster, far less outages and almost identical price. as a bonus starlink bills once per month, former isp billed every 28 days. that's nearly $100 a year less.

  @TFyrd49376 @TobiSkovron Labor introduced the NDIS, LNP messed with it. Like a long list of things introduced by Labor, the LNP screws with it and we are forced to endure the **** show that follows. NBN? LNP screwed it so hard it cost 3x as much for inferior infrastructure.
