Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Cleveland and nearby locations:
  • trevorlong Trevor Long (@trevorlong) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

@seamus @brett_gibson @charlietech @wendy_harmer @robbie_buck @abcsydney The primary reason Nbn needed to add cvc capacity is because Australians - and click baiting journos at some publications - would simply say “nbn is stuffed” when they have issues, when in fact it’s the telcos that fail to provision bandwidth... anyway... good times

  • Laura_the_chef Swen_fanfictwriter (@Laura_the_chef) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

It was an NBN problem, which means I can't fix it. I told her that but that wasn't a good enough excuse. Do now I am a fat lazy spoilt child all because i didn't drop everything to sort out all her problems. She then told my dad that and threatened to stop helping me financially

  • Shane_Szakacs Shane Szakacs (@Shane_Szakacs) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

Been in my new house 7 weeks & @NBN_Australia keeps canceling & will not give me a reason why. Hopefully @Telstra complaints department can help. #internetsucks

  • unicornstar17 Elicia Holland (@unicornstar17) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

No internet blame nbn Minions irate at puppy cause he didn’t come to a work party Due to wales having prick problems again last week i aint sending these minions into work next week as they will only spark up... and that aint good when @DavidWPollock1 is away.

  • cambuslangtrain John Roach (@cambuslangtrain) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

@LesStonehouse Faithful to Telstra for 40 years despite our blind loyalty not being reciprocated in quality of service or pricing. Switched to Optus at NBN connection time some years back. Could not be happier with Optus!! Stuff Telstra "and all who ro(r)t in her!!"

  • MischNarracott Michelle Butterfield (@MischNarracott) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

@Telstra I’m a patient person. However when my very elderly parents in Kiama are left without a land line for over 20 days & I discover that someone in @telstra or @nbn didn’t create a ‘Task ID’ for the third time in 3 weeks I reach a state of total frustration. Pls help.

  • roseannebyrne 💧🌱pragmaticleftie 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇮🇪💔 (@roseannebyrne) reported from Kiama, State of New South Wales

@LesStonehouse @Telstra @Optus Oh He's. It does seem older folk were totally neglected in all of this. No NBN no phone. Cutoffs before they were ready. Expectations they'd understand it all. Neighbour is nearly 90 and it's been awful trying to keep him connected. All on his own.

  • StephenJonesMP Stephen Jones MP (@StephenJonesMP) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

@choppers91 @RobOakeshott1 Hey Michael sorry for delay. Have asked my office to follow up on Monday. Rob, you’ve always been solid on NBN but simply not true that we are saying job done. We will inherit a mess. Don’t know the scale of it & won’t make reckless promise about time & cost to fix it.

  • iB3nji Ben (@iB3nji) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

@DrRimmer @guytaur @smh It’s disappointing the Libs stuffed the NBN up in the first place. It’s a complete and utter mess now. Will be difficult to fix now.

  • Jacqui_Wales Jacqueline Wales (@Jacqui_Wales) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

Three minutes to go in the #NRLDragonsManly game and @FOXNRL on @Foxtel Play is dropping out. A shitty feed, or is it the shitty @NBN_Australia. We may never know.

  • StephenJonesMP Stephen Jones MP (@StephenJonesMP) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

@Gardevoir101 @AustralianLabor @MRowlandMP We’ve already announced our NBN Customer Service Guarantee. More to come.

  • iB3nji Ben (@iB3nji) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

@TonyAbbottMHR We could say the same thing about you and your previous government when it comes to the shit NBN you built. What a disaster.

  • Bente_Andersen1 Bente 🇦🇺🇳🇴🇩🇰 (@Bente_Andersen1) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

Scott Morrison is trying to do what Turnball did with the NBN. Destroy the future and the environment by lying about the ESF. It has done nothing, it will never do anything except line their business cronies pockets.

  • AlexBrangwin Alexandria Brangwin (@AlexBrangwin) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

@DoctorKarl Can't believe this was an election issue and everyone chose so poorly. @TurnbullMalcolm, @TonyAbbottMHR & @JoeHockey screwed Australian internet over for generations. #NBN #Fail

  • iB3nji Ben (@iB3nji) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

@OooAaah @TurnbullMalcolm Exactly. Each time my parents FTTN-NBN goes down it’s because the “copper has burned out” or the state of the line down the street. Running a “next-gen” network on VERY OLD copper was never going to work.

  • AlexBrangwin Alexandria Brangwin (@AlexBrangwin) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

@TurnbullMalcolm Tying the new NBN to the old lines was a horrible mistake, and you were warned well enough. @Telstra's ***** little secret of the pair gain system installed in 1994-2000 kept a lot of homes in housing estates to 28.8kbps till 2012!

  • iB3nji Ben (@iB3nji) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

@TurnbullMalcolm Fact: My parents home is connected via FTTN and it’s been nothing but trouble. Multiple call outs by NBN (cost to taxpayers). Goes down weekly and is slow. While my home is connected via FTTP. Not a single issue in an entire year. In summary: Your NBN is shit, not “next-gen”.

  • paulscullymp Paul Scully MP (@paulscullymp) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

Apologies to anyone trying to phone or email my #wollongong office this morning. Phones and internet still down since yesterday and between @NBN_Australia @TPG_Telecom and @Telstra no one seems to be able to fix it. Trying to get a phone diversion set up atm.

  • Aurora_Da_Furry 💜Princess Aurora💜 (@Aurora_Da_Furry) reported

Welp home internet is officially busted, my mum decided to go mess around with cables and pulled out the wrong chord. So basically I m now stuck on phone data till we can get NBN to come fix it

  • GrainsMae Mae Connelly 🌾 (@GrainsMae) reported

@Middleton_Says @NBN_Australia And I don’t disagree that there are still issues (latency, affordability for average joe) and a difference to what urban areas get - but there have been great leaps forward in the last few years

  • aussiemusicfan Not The Bowie 🎶 (@aussiemusicfan) reported

Upload speeds were briefly back to normal around midday today. Got a phone call saying NBN tech was on way on Monday but I cancelled because it was ok again. Just tested, broken again. FFFFfffffffff

  • TripperCrazy TheMusicFan (@TripperCrazy) reported

@Telstra Just want to say that you’re an absolute disgraceful service when it comes to customer service and your internet service is bloody terrible I’ve been on hold now about my NBN for 1 hour & 30mins so far

  • TheRealKerryG Kerry Glover (@TheRealKerryG) reported

@FlogWarrior We shouldn't have to buy a VPN. Why can't I give my money to the content maker instead of to a software company to get around these stupid rules? Also, my NBN is too weak for a VPN.

  • suz_i_cue Sue (@suz_i_cue) reported

@NBN_Australia @COSBOA Doesn’t seem like you’re supporting anyone and please don’t tell me to go to my service provider to sort out this 💩 FTTN connection! Having to work from home during this & now it keeps dropping out. Fix this crap!

  • LindaSilmalis Linda Silmalis (@LindaSilmalis) reported

Another day and another few hours spent on the phone to @NBN_Australia @iiNet who are each blaming each other for the problem. Last call there were chickens clucking in the background #auspol #nbn #outsourcing

  • Middleton_Says Sue Middleton (@Middleton_Says) reported

@FixBushInternet The total value of all of those programs is not dealing with demand for solutions that will help nbn to reduce contention on Skymuster. State based programs cannot keep up with demand. I am surprised an advocacy organisation is viewing this as a digital literacy issue.

  • scrotely Joe Scrotely (@scrotely) reported

@RBJRON @LadLitter @DellKi2 Around 2003 I was on 25Mbit Optus cable. 2008 I switched to 100Mbit Telstra/Foxtel cable. 2020 I have a **** NBN connection that constantly drops out and dramatically slows in the evenings. How many billion did it cost again?

  • FixBushInternet BIRRR (@FixBushInternet) reported

@Middleton_Says 2 staff in office + a full time tertiary student, also used as a personal connection. Supply staff internet to 2 houses & pay for staff 2 b connected. Use on av. 300GB/ month (slightly more than the av. Nbn user Australia wide). Average speed of 55 down 15 up. Video conf. a lot.
