A colleague is having WFH issues. Got a speed test done. It’s ASDL 14/0.8. Got them to call their ISP (iiNet) to upgrade to HFC NBN which is ready for service. iiNet told them it would not increase their internet speeds 🤦🏻

  • DavJenks David Jenkins (@DavJenks) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@iiNet But the alternative is holding on to a mobile phone connection which in my case kept dropping out due to poor phone reception. Typing out a message was the best I could manage. I couldnt even get the iinet website to load to try an online chat message.

  • simonpallister Simon Pallister (@simonpallister) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

27 hours into an @NBN_Australia / @iiNet outage, still no word on when it will be fixed. Complete lack of info from both parties

  • dremond Dom Remond (@dremond) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@iiNet I was on hold for 2 hours yesterday, then was told they would ring me back and they never did. Unable to engage with university and work, this is ridiculous at this time...need help please.

  • AdamGoldstien Adam Goldstien (@AdamGoldstien) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

  • BIntercultural Tamerlaine Beasley (@BIntercultural) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@iinet My capacity to continue my business (and host a session with @DeptDefence today) depends on your faults team specialist calling me back on my internet problem which has now been constant and unresolved since 8 April. Not impressed.

  • dropbear2_0 😷 The Drop Bear (@dropbear2_0) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Oh bugger, I am an @iiNet customer but I’ll be calling around for a change of provider. : (

  • pfbt Marquis d'Killara (@pfbt) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@iiNet at this time of night normally between 6 and 11 Mb. Tonight it’s dropping out or operating in the 0.2 - 2 range most of the time. Never had this problem with ADSL2+. Your help site shows a local error @TurnbullMalcolm should be in gaol for inflicting this crap o. the country

  • DavJenks David Jenkins (@DavJenks) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@iiNet I've done all those. It is a problem with the modem connection itself, with the downstream light solid but upstream light flashing.

  • KylieParkerCA Kylie Parker (LotusAccts) (@KylieParkerCA) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Had a freak out internet was down @iiNet best service thanks for getting me back up and running fast. Really good customer service - even waited for me to find the power extensions because the power points stopped working 😬

  • c_j_schweitzer Christian Schweitzer (@c_j_schweitzer) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

    @iiNet Customer Ref 1184783189

  • Avo_Spread Ryan Penning™ @😌 (@Avo_Spread) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@iiNet it seems like there might be an undetected outage in the Caringbah area. Just got through a power cycle of our router and reset it. Still no internet connection despite a perfectly fine wifi signal.

  • pfbt Marquis d'Killara (@pfbt) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@iiNet It’s working now. Clearly you Network Status post saying there was minor incident which “may” affect service was correct. It was the network.

  • DavJenks David Jenkins (@DavJenks) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@iiNet The interaction with iinet staff was fine, no complaints at all. NBN technician comes out Monday morning. That will play havoc with online schooling and me working from home. Hopefully this recurring problem will be fixed on nbn tech visit #3.

  • simonpallister Simon Pallister (@simonpallister) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@iiNet no internet in Turramurra again, over an hour for technical support, no outage showing on @NBN_Australia

  • c_j_schweitzer Christian Schweitzer (@c_j_schweitzer) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Hey @iiNet as a new customer to your #NBN service, I think it's not unreasonable for you to have solved the broken connection that I'm experiencing, now into its 3rd day.

  • urban_reverie Urban Reverie (@urban_reverie) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

I’m in self-isolation, my HFC NBN is down *yet again*, and wait times for iiNet technical support are over an hour. Everything is awesome.

  • re_mcelroy Rebecca McElroy (@re_mcelroy) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@iiNet That's 10+ days without internet and many hours spent on the phone with your (admittedly very nice) support teams. I've been compensated once already, though it was rather paltry - and at this point I'm honestly questioning my decision to use iinet 😭

  • simonpallister Simon Pallister (@simonpallister) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@iiNet Got a call back from someone "representing the customer care team at iiNet" then asked me to id myself. Sorry, I value my privacy and can't give this out WHEN YOU CALLED ME! I can't call you back, the queues are long for everything

  • dremond Dom Remond (@dremond) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Hey @iiNet what's going on with @NBN_Australia service, making WFH impossible!!

ADVICE TO ANYONE LOOKING AT INTERNET PROVIDERS IN AUSTRALIA - AVOID IINET LIKE THE PLAGUE... THE WORST "CUSTOMER SERVICE" YOU'LL EVER EXPERIENCE @iiNet

  • cynocephalae beau (@cynocephalae) reported

love @iinet going RED LIGHT down right before class 😭

  • kateandzara just kate (@kateandzara) reported

.@iiNet Hi - Broadband internet and phone data have both gone down in the last 5 minutes????? Location is Brunswick Vic

  • TheRealGoobly The Real Goobly (@TheRealGoobly) reported

@ClaraChongMCF @iiNet Hi, Clara… my service provider (iiNet) have sent me messages saying that NBNCo are investigating an outage in Darlo area. It’s definitely an NBN issue, I think; 2nd light flashing on black NBN box, which I think means there’s no NBN connection. Happened about 3 wks ago, too.

  • tamaraklomp1 Tamara Klomp (@tamaraklomp1) reported

@iiNet Well I’d love to look but my home internet is so bad for the last week that I need to rely on my phone data to do anything …..and I certainly wouldn’t go through the same company that provides such intermittent cable

  • suzcberl Suz Berla (@suzcberl) reported

@iiNet I upgraded from NBN25 to NBN50 on Thursday...20 minutes later I lost wifi... AFTER 5 hours of phone calls... that i made...NO ONE has fixed it or called me back despite assurances. It is NOT my router...it's the config of iinet. I am still waiting for a fix 4 days later!

  • ianbfarquhar Ian Farquhar (@ianbfarquhar) reported

@misullivan @LG_Australia @iiNet It’s surprising how many people don’t understand bridge mode devices. Security architects, who should, are some of the worst offenders. I had a Telstra engineer tell me that I didn’t need a firewall between their garbage modem and my network. “One is built in”. 🙄🙄🙄🙄

  • Greg_Brown_ADL Greg Brown (@Greg_Brown_ADL) reported

@NBN_Australia no interruptions listed on the website just the Coombs HFC connection dropouts we get many times a week. You should be refunding fees to @iiNet @Internode HFC is old unreliable crap

  • mabeljessie Judy Brown (@mabeljessie) reported

@iinet Customer Support still can’t retrieve 17 days, of lost emails but can debit my card for $168 for the modem I was supposed to send back. You sent details to the account you closed, I kept ringing you to tell you this.

  • TheRiffJet Riff Jet (@TheRiffJet) reported

@iiNet Hi @iiNet since you don’t appear to be keen on sending out email Customer Service Feedback forms now a days. Would I recommend #iinet to others, 1 to 10. A BIG Fat Zero. How satisfied was I with the Customer Service, 1 to 10. Another BIG Fat Zero. Anything else to add:
