  • inFeZa inFeZa: Classic (@inFeZa) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@TheyCallHimX @iiNet Ditched them month one because they don't buy enough bandwidth so peak is unusable, kept asking for my logs basically said forget it. Went to Aussie broadband and never looked back

  • Tonestar01 Tonestar (@Tonestar01) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

How difficult is it to do anything with @iiNet wait time is +30 minutes and when they offer to call you back you are put on hold again!! Really rubbish service

  • JayBallzup Jay Ball (@JayBallzup) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Hey @iiNet Why is your service status map reporting everything is fine at postcode 3156 when I, for the 4th time in 5 days, am again without internet due to an “outage”.

  • bbmelb λ (@bbmelb) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iinet I just got a birthday email from you even though I'm no longer a customer. Tells me to login to unsub

  • JayBallzup Jay Ball (@JayBallzup) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet I’m paying for 50 down on HFC. Have had 45-49 consistently for 6 months. Now my speed has dropped to average of 25 down.

  • JayBallzup Jay Ball (@JayBallzup) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet Invoice 107996489 (Also I’ve just tested again and of course now it seems to be better with 47 down)

  • B_e_agle Beags (@B_e_agle) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

NBN woes part 2: given up all hope with iiNet after finding out that a) I had to use a different account that I didn't know existed, and b) organise an appointment for another technician to visit. Jumped over to Aussie Broadband and hoping that will fix this whole mess up

  • mojopin66 Serena.S. (@mojopin66) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet TBH I've been having dropouts and very slow speeds for a long time now but have been using my 4G and putting up with it. No old phone I can test with. Am in an apartment block, wonder if it's the line itself that's carked it.

  • neil_killick Neil Killick (@neil_killick) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@StoneAdam @iiNet @eatdrinkwatch Yup, ombudsman is the way to go. This always happens with a connection fault - the provider blames NBN and vice versa, no one accountable, no one resolves the issue. You will get it resolved once the TIO is involved, and decent compensation.

  • artemis_s_moon Artemis Moon (@artemis_s_moon) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet so my 5GHz network disappeared leaving me only my 2.4GHz and having to reset every device we have 🙄 Freaking. Annoying. Thanks

  • sytrader David M Goll -Dà Wěi #IlikeAnthonyAlbanese (@sytrader) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet I got no response from any website or iPad app that uses internet including bank apps both here at my home and later when I was at the coffee shop where my iPad connects to their wifi! Seems to be working ok now! But I still resent having to pay 30%+ extra for a crap service!

  • steveacko stephen atkinson (@steveacko) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet seriously. It’s been a near 40 days since our iiNet NBN service was paid for and still nothing. Not even an email update. My partner and I work a combined 150hr week and can’t afford to donate more of our time towards this matter. #iinetNBN #NBN #Melbourne

  • CarCarLaJenkins Carmen LahiffJenkins (@CarCarLaJenkins) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@aleeb88 @iiNet Oh dear - this is my problem too - they used to be so good! The customer service is great though!

  • MrDTJames Daniel James (@MrDTJames) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

    @iiNet 38 down, 34 up.

  • daamon_parker Daamon Parker (@daamon_parker) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@mark_barbs @iiNet Ditch them mate. I was on @iiNet and had loads of issues and was just met with bureaucratic “help”. Got nowhere - wasted my time. For the same monthly price with @Optus went from 2Mb/s (at best) to 30Mb/s consistently.

  • neil_killick Neil Killick (@neil_killick) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@byrnecore @StoneAdam @iiNet @eatdrinkwatch Yup. I did exactly the same thing with Exetel (who also have diabolical customer service) despite rolling off to Tangerine (who have been terrific, btw).

  • Chuckajoe ༨པκཇ (@Chuckajoe) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet hey team. After waiting for my call back I got one but the call never connected. Can you try the call back again. The call dropped out and it’s an hour wait for tech support now. Experiencing outages all day in 3030

  • Rachelmor94 Rachel Moran (@Rachelmor94) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet second outage in as many months.... starting to wonder why I’m still with you

  • vap0urz Vap0urz (@vap0urz) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet This is now the 2nd or 3rd time that I have had to contact / make publicly aware that your product and/or services are ridiculously unrealistic. Fake apologies are useless. I’m sorry to say it but fix your ******* shit!

  • golfon5 golfon5 (@golfon5) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet I cancelled my account 17/4 after 8 years due to poor service after poor service.. there were 11 days left in the cycle and they gave me refund of $1.97.. they have now charged to the end of May $59.95.. wtf #idiots #poorservice #disgrace #internet #isp @ombudsman

iiNet Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • TheRealNumber6 John Drake (@TheRealNumber6) reported

@PetraAu @iiNet You've hit a limit with them and their response is to lock you out so you can't do anything about it --a lockout that won't even let you pull down what's there? Insane.

  • PetraAu Petra Campbell (@PetraAu) reported

@TheRealNumber6 @iiNet 20 years worth. Told them repeatedly today not to touch. I’ll do it. But cant access.Thing is, no notice. It came on heels of something that happened to their storage ability last year found out today. Clamping down but did not implement with an information campaign. Had no idea.

  • PetraAu Petra Campbell (@PetraAu) reported

@JustJimWillDo @iiNet Well i’m now white hot with rage but am looking at their comms to see when they gave me any warning that they woukd interrupt my business. None.

  • mooshka79 Kristy Himbrechts (@mooshka79) reported

@iiNet this is getting beyond a joke your call centre can’t transfer me to customer relations they kept me on the phone for 70 mins

  • maystation4 Steve May (@maystation4) reported

@iiNet You know my name. Check the files. Mine’s the big one with stuff up after stuff up even though I’ve been a loyal customer. And please stop saying keen to look into it. I’m keen to get my service after a second week with zero net and no refund or compensation.

  • lilimareea lilian (@lilimareea) reported

@PetraAu @iiNet Travelling from nsw to Qld & back couldn’t get over how poor the internet was, more dropouts then connections, I’ve never started my phone so many times before, never experienced it this bad ;( I’m with Telstra

  • PetraAu Petra Campbell (@PetraAu) reported

@colugal @iiNet web based email is so 80’s 😒. Its too slow. Dreadful presentation, long to categorise and especially to search

  • JustJimWillDo Jim Campbell (@JustJimWillDo) reported

@PetraAu @iiNet Yes, I've been watching your tweets. The whole thing is entirely stupid, but they appear to have you over a barrel. You can change providers (either of internet or just of email), but unless you keep paying iiNet, you're gonna lose any emails that people send to that address.

  • maystation4 Steve May (@maystation4) reported

@iiNet You should already know what is happening. Heading into day 6 not internet and a daughter doing her HSC trying to hotspot from a phone. Amazing service iiNet. Wonder if I’ll get that phone call tomorrow. @Telstra

  • Zaphod_BBX Zaphod Beeblebrox (@Zaphod_BBX) reported from Port Macquarie, State of New South Wales

@PetraAu @iiNet Using Google Drive to send and receive mail won't stop your problem because it still resides on IInet servers. The 1MB limit is ridiculously tiny. Suggest you bite the bullet and move to a Gmail or Hotmail address. Then you aren't tied into you internet provider for email.
