    @iiNet 38 down, 34 up.

  • JayBallzup Jay Ball (@JayBallzup) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Hey @iiNet Why is your service status map reporting everything is fine at postcode 3156 when I, for the 4th time in 5 days, am again without internet due to an “outage”.

  • B_e_agle Beags (@B_e_agle) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

NBN woes part 2: given up all hope with iiNet after finding out that a) I had to use a different account that I didn't know existed, and b) organise an appointment for another technician to visit. Jumped over to Aussie Broadband and hoping that will fix this whole mess up

  • steveacko stephen atkinson (@steveacko) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet seriously. It’s been a near 40 days since our iiNet NBN service was paid for and still nothing. Not even an email update. My partner and I work a combined 150hr week and can’t afford to donate more of our time towards this matter. #iinetNBN #NBN #Melbourne

  • mojopin66 Serena.S. (@mojopin66) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet TBH I've been having dropouts and very slow speeds for a long time now but have been using my 4G and putting up with it. No old phone I can test with. Am in an apartment block, wonder if it's the line itself that's carked it.

  • bbmelb λ (@bbmelb) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iinet I just got a birthday email from you even though I'm no longer a customer. Tells me to login to unsub

  • neil_killick Neil Killick (@neil_killick) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@byrnecore @StoneAdam @iiNet @eatdrinkwatch Yup. I did exactly the same thing with Exetel (who also have diabolical customer service) despite rolling off to Tangerine (who have been terrific, btw).

  • neil_killick Neil Killick (@neil_killick) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@StoneAdam @iiNet @eatdrinkwatch Yup, ombudsman is the way to go. This always happens with a connection fault - the provider blames NBN and vice versa, no one accountable, no one resolves the issue. You will get it resolved once the TIO is involved, and decent compensation.

  • sytrader David M Goll -Dà Wěi #IlikeAnthonyAlbanese (@sytrader) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet I got no response from any website or iPad app that uses internet including bank apps both here at my home and later when I was at the coffee shop where my iPad connects to their wifi! Seems to be working ok now! But I still resent having to pay 30%+ extra for a crap service!

  • golfon5 golfon5 (@golfon5) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet I cancelled my account 17/4 after 8 years due to poor service after poor service.. there were 11 days left in the cycle and they gave me refund of $1.97.. they have now charged to the end of May $59.95.. wtf #idiots #poorservice #disgrace #internet #isp @ombudsman

  • inFeZa inFeZa: Classic (@inFeZa) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@TheyCallHimX @iiNet Ditched them month one because they don't buy enough bandwidth so peak is unusable, kept asking for my logs basically said forget it. Went to Aussie broadband and never looked back

  • Tonestar01 Tonestar (@Tonestar01) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

How difficult is it to do anything with @iiNet wait time is +30 minutes and when they offer to call you back you are put on hold again!! Really rubbish service

  • daamon_parker Daamon Parker (@daamon_parker) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@mark_barbs @iiNet Ditch them mate. I was on @iiNet and had loads of issues and was just met with bureaucratic “help”. Got nowhere - wasted my time. For the same monthly price with @Optus went from 2Mb/s (at best) to 30Mb/s consistently.

  • JayBallzup Jay Ball (@JayBallzup) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet Invoice 107996489 (Also I’ve just tested again and of course now it seems to be better with 47 down)

  • JayBallzup Jay Ball (@JayBallzup) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet I’m paying for 50 down on HFC. Have had 45-49 consistently for 6 months. Now my speed has dropped to average of 25 down.

  • JayBallzup Jay Ball (@JayBallzup) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Wow @iiNet There was a time when I’d tell people it’s worth paying a bit more for iiNet because the support service was great. Just called for some help and the wait time is over an hour. Guess this is what happens when @TPG_Telecom is running the show.

  • PacIsLiving Tiffany Carroll (@PacIsLiving) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet They weren’t able to help unfortunately. Really bad at over promising and under delivering.

  • Antdk1 Anthony Kung (@Antdk1) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

The @iinet ads would have to be the most annoying I have ever endured. I would never join purely because of the guy off these ads! #annoying

  • _AmandaGill Amanda (@_AmandaGill) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet my internets been down for three days and your call centres have a one hour wait #CustomerService #CustomerExperience

  • dishitd dishitd (@dishitd) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet Moreover none of your customer service representatives ever get in touch. I have to call them bearing 1 hour waits

  • dishitd dishitd (@dishitd) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet That is not a no-worries situation for me. I have been calling almost daily and no progress has been made so far. I have to wait on call for more than an before getting disconnected without even talking with a support person and you are saying no worries

  • JoshDWanless _|øš|-| \/\/@ñł£šś (@JoshDWanless) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet hey I called you guys 2 hours ago and used your call back service. It said it would be an hour and I still haven't received a call.

  • WazzaH46 Wazza (@WazzaH46) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet can you please check NBN connectivity .. I'm trying to set up a new FTTC service 329595858 but it's not connecting. Thanks 😃

  • StepmeisterOz Snickers (@StepmeisterOz) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@bowie_in_space I’ve been with iinet for 11 years and their customer service is superior. I can’t get a great speed but that’s not them it the infrastructure in my area.

  • FlagstaffRoy Roy Rogers (@FlagstaffRoy) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

I understand the process but it is the line that is the problem..I am onto @iiNet who said a text and a technical would be sent 86yo there must be a better way to treat our elderly @iiNet will give Telstra details so it can be fixed

  • FlagstaffRoy Roy Rogers (@FlagstaffRoy) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra My mums nbn still not working came on for a short period then off again since weekend still not working I am in Melbourne no technician sent as promised just buck passing bad customer service from @iiNet next step ombudsman. This is not the way to treat our elderly.

  • FlagstaffRoy Roy Rogers (@FlagstaffRoy) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

My mums internet came on for a short period then off still not working no technician as promised I am in Melbourne at a conference next step ombudsman...this is a disgrace everyone passes the buck @iiNet to @Telstra and our elderly suffer no phone either bad bad bad

  • jacojac Jack Jacobs (@jacojac) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet @ii_joshy Who's Jacob.... Just cancel the account!

  • jacojac Jack Jacobs (@jacojac) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet @ii_joshy So sneaky @iiNet Charged me for a replacement modem that I never asked for. I actually said in a email when they suggested it "To be clear I will not use your god awful modems" and then when I called to query it they couldn't find the notes...

  • jacojac Jack Jacobs (@jacojac) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet @ii_joshy So someone called me last night from @iiNet, I explained the issue and she agreed with me about how the service should have been provisioned on a different port and that it was understandable why I would want to leave iiNet because of the issues that I've had...

  • MikeRoss29 Michael Ross (@MikeRoss29) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet we have signed up with iinet over a week ago and have not had any communication about modem being delivered after contacting via email, or the service being activated after sending required documents. An update would be great....

  • Hayleyyemma Hayley Thrupp (@Hayleyyemma) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iinet replacement modem issued last Friday. Just rang to check on delivery status and they told me it’s been delivered yet I received nothing. I want this resolved today or I’m cancelling my service. 2 weeks without internet and soon to be 3 if you have to send another out!

  • AlvinNg Alvin Ng (@AlvinNg) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet @iiTalW Was on the phone for three hours and didn’t manage to fix it. It’s with the Faults team now.

  • Hayleyyemma Hayley Thrupp (@Hayleyyemma) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

I’ve tried 2 modems and my internet still isn’t working yet the “support” staff (they’ve done everything but support) insist I wait a week for a new modem to try. Just send a bloody technician out to my apartment so my internet is fixed! Sub-standard service all week from iiNet

  • aurantiacoXI Irena (@aurantiacoXI) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet @iiWaheeb It’s a wireless connection. I received a new modem a couple of months ago but it doesn’t seem to make much of a difference. I’ll call the support line soon for help, thanks for responding.

  • Hayleyyemma Hayley Thrupp (@Hayleyyemma) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

I’ve been trying for 2hrs to fix my cable wifi @iiNet. Just dropped out all of a sudden and now I keep getting redirected to Gateway HTTP intercept page. Tried multiple devices and modems, factory reset etc and still nothing. Help!

  • dablackprince HappyChappy II (@dablackprince) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

  • cashmiskit ulysses-miskit (@cashmiskit) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet @iimaaj I do, but I don't want to publicly post it. The NBN is down

  • cashmiskit ulysses-miskit (@cashmiskit) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

what's going @iinet? No internet since 2pm, getting a little frustrating in particular since your website says 'no issues' #brunswick your phone line tells me to queue for at least 1hr, c'mon! Get your act together

  • zero4one_zman Zdenko (@zero4one_zman) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Hey @iselect @TPG_Telecom @Optus @iiNet @dodo can you help out Senator @stuartrobertmp with his internet plan? He seems to be charging Australian Taxpayers $2000 a month for internet usuage, surely he is on the wrong plan? Thanks.

@iinet outage in officer 3809 is Aspect estate. Router reboot didn't work. Any update on restore time?

  • MichaelinAus Michael Wright (@MichaelinAus) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet @iiLeoY I have been in contact and lodged a formal complaint.

  • MichaelinAus Michael Wright (@MichaelinAus) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet #1 for customer service is a joke.

  • MichaelinAus Michael Wright (@MichaelinAus) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet 2 weeks I called and decided to switch to iiNet but some idiot has gone and disconnected my current internet before my modem has even been dispatched and I have been without any internet for 5 days now and no one seems to give a damn. NOT IMPRESSED

  • james_duggan James Duggan (@james_duggan) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Another bad part about this is the non-refundable $5 administration fee that I paid to @Ticketek_AU to be part of the Grand Final ballot. Instead of donating to the only organisation whose incompentence rivals @iinet I could’ve bought myself a coffee. #aflfinals

  • pebotuwa anuruddha pebotuwa (@pebotuwa) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet @ii_joshy My immediate requirement is a service which I have to obtain from elsewhere due to this long delay.

  • pebotuwa anuruddha pebotuwa (@pebotuwa) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet @ii_joshy I've already mentioned as the services are critical for me and outage of this long is intolerable.

  • pebotuwa anuruddha pebotuwa (@pebotuwa) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet @iiWaheeb Thanks Doesn't look like ONT has a problem, except that an network issue where the laptop didn't get an IP assigned when directly connected to it.

@iiNet Could you please re-consider your ads with 2GB as they support and spread hatred, misogyny and violence against women. Thanks,

  • YaBoiCM10 CM10 (@YaBoiCM10) reported

@wxllys Nbn with iiNet I haven’t had any problems since joining them, and have constant 0-5 ping

  • xghosttypex xGHOSTTYPEx (@xghosttypex) reported

@Orda_CS @Telstra @iiNet @Optus Ive heard plenty of stories over the years of Australia getting less than adequate internet. I dunno why its such a problem.

  • NewtonMark Mark Newton 🥚 (@NewtonMark) reported

@SilvesterSJ @markzzzsmith We always used to joke that iiNet was a helpdesk operations company, and the only reason they needed a network was to give people something to open tickets about.

  • SilvesterSJ Sam Silvester (@SilvesterSJ) reported

@markzzzsmith @NewtonMark Interesting. Sounds like they somewhat achieved what iiNet always wanted. To be a sales / marketing / helpdesk behemoth without actually owning any network assets.

  • peter_c_william Peter Williams (@peter_c_william) reported

@iiNet We only use WiFi. We see the problems everywhere. The speed drops in the evening.

  • peter_c_william Peter Williams (@peter_c_william) reported

@iiNet The #nbn installation team was in my house recently. They didn't find any problems. I think there was less than 5 dB loss from the cable pit to my termination point and my neighbour gets 100+ mbps from the same pit. I am wondering if the problem is upstream.

  • adamjogrady Published Author Adam O'Grady (@adamjogrady) reported

so uhh, mad props to @mmalone26 for teaching staff/customers on @iiNet Whirlpool when major faults caused blowout Support queues. that knowledge has been useful lots of times over my life

  • _jill_jones Jill Jones (@_jill_jones) reported

Update. Well, we're still connected to the digital world but at a ver-rry slow rate. Nothing as nippy as good ol' adsl, no sir-ee. Maybe an update of the rather shoddy modem supplied by iinet might get things moving a tad quicker. Or not. A and I are only giving it one star.

  • IngSoc4ever Dave R (@IngSoc4ever) reported

@iiNet oh, u must mean when I rang to cancel the ADSL service on Monday, and was told there was no need for my call. I assume this was so u could then double charge me for a whole month, had I not been diligent and forced your hand.
