so uhh, mad props to @mmalone26 for teaching staff/customers on @iiNet Whirlpool when major faults caused blowout Support queues. that knowledge has been useful lots of times over my life

  • _jill_jones Jill Jones (@_jill_jones) reported

Update. Well, we're still connected to the digital world but at a ver-rry slow rate. Nothing as nippy as good ol' adsl, no sir-ee. Maybe an update of the rather shoddy modem supplied by iinet might get things moving a tad quicker. Or not. A and I are only giving it one star.

  • IngSoc4ever Dave R (@IngSoc4ever) reported

@iiNet oh, u must mean when I rang to cancel the ADSL service on Monday, and was told there was no need for my call. I assume this was so u could then double charge me for a whole month, had I not been diligent and forced your hand.

  • GrantWHU Grant (@GrantWHU) reported

@iiNet Thanks for the reply. I am actually getting 300mbps now (🔥. It was bouncing between 30mbps and 5mbps for most of the evening. I did power cycle the modem since so maybe that has solved the issue. Will report if it drops again.

  • Erasec 💧Cesare Mammarella (@Erasec) reported

@Telstra Not a problem Angela, will start the number porting process in a couple of days to coincide with the end of the current billing period with the useless @iiNet

  • Erasec 💧Cesare Mammarella (@Erasec) reported

@iiNet you're gone, going back to @Telstra. Sick to death of your useless support line...

  • Bleux_Cleux Blue (@Bleux_Cleux) reported

@iiNet The payment details on the account are up-to-date. The service is running fine when it's up. The only problem is that every 10-30 minutes the internet goes down for up to 5 minutes and I just have to sit here waiting for it to come back up.

  • Bleux_Cleux Bleux (@Bleux_Cleux) reported

@iinet Hi, So I've been disconnected from my service about 7 times in the last hour, and this has been happening every single night for the last 2 weeks. What is going on, this is unacceptable. 3356 Region. (And yes, I've paid the bill. This is a connection problem) On Your End!

  • IanWoolf IanWoolf (@IanWoolf) reported

@iiNet Thank you, I just rebooted my phone and got a flurry of missed messages, looks like I've been off the network for 48 hours.
