@misullivan @LG_Australia @iiNet Sure, iptables is fine for a basic policy-driven firewall, if it’s exposed by the modem vendor. Most aren’t. Most modems also support TR-069, which means they’re basically devices entirely controlled by the SP. I would never trust telco-provided CPE.

@iiNet @whirlpoolnetau Small businesses AVOID #iiNet. Seems customer service, and therefore customer experience (CX) is dead. Despite its invitation to DM here, it shows no inclination to fix its DISHONEST double-dipping on my credit card.
