@iiNet @AEBayley Find it pretty hard to see how 43 is extreme in WA. Lived there for years, regularly 42, 43. We kept our mainframe running during cyclone Alby FFS, most of Perth was without power. It's called having backup systems, power, network etc etc.

@iiNet @heymiiike Mate I’m in Cairns and I haven’t had email since nearly 4pm Xmas Day. There are a large number of people complaining. How can you guys have no issues showing? Your servers need a reboot!

@whoisricho @iiNet I agree - hopefully they will in future do a lot better on communicating early & often what the issue is & the expected resolution time though.

@iiNet @iinet Oh, and even though email is down, perhaps you could recommend an alternate SMTP provider to use in the short term. This would be v useful for people to able to at least SEND an email to friends/clients stating the situation and maybe even providing g an alternate email.

@iiNet last week, iinet engineer- " boss we have a problem, on Xmas it's forecasted to be 43c but our server room is only rated to handle max 40c" john- "you worry to much bro, nothing will go wrong, in fact everyone can have the day off!" Lol
