Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Newport and nearby locations:

  • donovandy Andy Donovan (@donovandy) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Is there any bigger shit show than the crappy @NBN_Australia brought to us by wrecker @TurnbullMalcolm. No internet again tonight, my weekly experience on HFC hybrid crap rolled out by our useless former PM under orders from another earlier former idiot and useless PM. @iiNet

  • c_j_schweitzer Christian Schweitzer (@c_j_schweitzer) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

    @iiNet Customer Ref 1184783189

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Also before they moved out their home internet had suddenly moved to Vodafone NBN but their iiNet account still showed usage up until the people at the new house turned off the modem. Sounds like a churn was done but iiNet support claims that is impossible

  • mulgar Michael Green (@mulgar) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@FancySocksMan @iiNet It’s possibly a calculated risk to minimise password reset enquires, but it’s just poor practice.

  • re_mcelroy Rebecca McElroy (@re_mcelroy) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@iiNet That's 10+ days without internet and many hours spent on the phone with your (admittedly very nice) support teams. I've been compensated once already, though it was rather paltry - and at this point I'm honestly questioning my decision to use iinet 😭

  • simonpallister Simon Pallister (@simonpallister) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

27 hours into an @NBN_Australia / @iiNet outage, still no word on when it will be fixed. Complete lack of info from both parties

  • mcreal15 .michelle bamborough💧 (@mcreal15) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@iiNet shame on you advertising in that rag of a paper demonising Bill Shortens mother You are off my list of possible alternatives to support

  • ozisobe Dar Ren Robe (@ozisobe) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@iinet have zero customer service... it takes a minimum one hour to get anyone to pick up the phone. It’s infuriating

  • ozisobe Dar Ren Robe (@ozisobe) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@iiNet I want to make a formal complaint about how long it takes to get service on your phones

  • MoeMKiss Moe Kiss (@MoeMKiss) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

I can only guess what has happened to @iiNet once great company which stopped giving a shit about their customers. It's been nothing but pain since we relocated with them. From taking time off work for appts that never happen to a miriade of calls which are never returned

  • simonpallister Simon Pallister (@simonpallister) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@iiNet Got a call back from someone "representing the customer care team at iiNet" then asked me to id myself. Sorry, I value my privacy and can't give this out WHEN YOU CALLED ME! I can't call you back, the queues are long for everything

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

iiNet support wasn’t interested in the fact they had iiNet NBN 50 and suddenly they had Vodafone NBN 100 running at their house. Just say it’s impossible.

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@NewtonMark @shaneoneill @Aussie_BB @Telstra I fired up an Aussie BB service at my parents new house just last week in 20 mins, after iiNet failed spectacularly at transferring their service from their old address. Did a Vodafone one on the weekend too and was online in an hour.

  • _iEndo Karen Endicott (@_iEndo) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@iiNet still waiting for that excellent customer service 10 phone calls 5 email tried to speak to supervisor refused and hung up ready to change providers after 20 yrs chasing up issue since 8/2

  • c_j_schweitzer Christian Schweitzer (@c_j_schweitzer) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Hey @iiNet as a new customer to your #NBN service, I think it's not unreasonable for you to have solved the broken connection that I'm experiencing, now into its 3rd day.

  • pfbt Marquis d'Killara (@pfbt) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@iiNet dropouts. Speeds down to around 1-2 Mb/s. Lots of dropouts. Have restarted modem to check it’s not the modem

  • simon300376 Simon Harper (@simon300376) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@iiNet internet nbn currently down. Please, in middle of GOT! Can’t believe it. Please advise ASAP.

  • pfbt Marquis d'Killara (@pfbt) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@iiNet It’s working now. Clearly you Network Status post saying there was minor incident which “may” affect service was correct. It was the network.

  • pfbt Marquis d'Killara (@pfbt) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@iiNet at this time of night normally between 6 and 11 Mb. Tonight it’s dropping out or operating in the 0.2 - 2 range most of the time. Never had this problem with ADSL2+. Your help site shows a local error @TurnbullMalcolm should be in gaol for inflicting this crap o. the country

  • mitchaustin10 Mitchell Austin (@mitchaustin10) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Deligracy @iiNet They are shocking! Had them at my last place and literally worst provider 😂

  • DrRonBaumann Ron Baumann (@DrRonBaumann) reported

Switched from @exetel to @iiNet for my @nbn and I have to say, iiNet service is absolutely spectacular. Polite, professional, knowledgeable, and quick. They had me hooked up in minutes. Meanwhile, I'm still waiting for Exetel to get back to me on the service disruption Saturday.

  • Altraider #Error404NotFound (@Altraider) reported

@iiNet So I get a call from sales Wants me to switch to Vodaphone Same price but I lose international SMS Or I can pay double for a bunch of crap I neither want or need to keep international SMS ? I'm smelling TPG's greedy hands in this 10 years a loyal customer & I get screwed ?

  • llihhcruhc1 Antonius (@llihhcruhc1) reported

@hedgeddown @iiNet @slpng_giants_oz I’m sure the rush of febriles rushing to cancel their subscriptions because iiNet advertises on media publishing opinions you disagree with must be just about killing the business

  • DrTheaVanags Dr Thea Vanags (Dr T) (@DrTheaVanags) reported

@iiNet Massive thanks to Cheslim who has persevered and fixed my email problems when the other 9 respondents couldnt. Thank you Cheslim!!

  • Bridie_WA Bridie (@Bridie_WA) reported

Hi @iiNet, my Westnet email account is not working. I have tried to log in but it says incorrect details and I'm not prepared to put my credit card or bank details into your website so I can receive an email with this info. Please advise what I can do.

  • Katie0o0o0 katie duggan (@Katie0o0o0) reported

@iiNet I understand that, but have been told by your colleagues on numerous different phone calls that it shouldn't take almost a month to receive an appointment, you would think once someone has highlighted an issue at least 4 times in a week efforts would be made to resolve it

  • DrTheaVanags Dr Thea Vanags (Dr T) (@DrTheaVanags) reported

@iiNet No surprise here. @iinet will still not permit me to make a complaint and they stilldo not know what the problem is... but they did ask me to send personally identifying information over twitter 😳😳

  • lotzalozza Lorraine henneberry💧 (@lotzalozza) reported

@MikeCullen73 @iiNet @NBN_Australia Get around to LucyMcCormack’s office and bombard her with the problem.

  • DallenDonna Donna Allen (@DallenDonna) reported

@hedgeddown @slpng_giants_oz @iiNet Good luck trying to cancel iiNet. We are still getting billed three yrs after we cancelled.

  • CharlizeTheroff Charlize Theroff (@CharlizeTheroff) reported

@iiNet wondering why my nbn is running as slow as a lame dog?
