@MurrayDG @iiNet iiNet is the best there is. I’ve tried them all. I think you’ve just had some bad luck in that specific situation - @kaostoclarity has a contact there

  • bmanmelb PB (@bmanmelb) reported

@iiNet there has been an outage here in north west Melbourne for more than 12 hrs. NBN co are passing the buck to you and vica versa. Anyone want to fix it and tell me what’s going on?

  • flashpixx8 Gordon Haywood (@flashpixx8) reported

@iiNet Why are you transferring your mobile service to Vodaphone? backwards step!

  • nevertoocurious Signe Dean (@nevertoocurious) reported

@iiNet It's nice to be notified of a planned NBN outage, but you gotta communicate more precisely. We were told 8am to 5pm Wed-Fri this week, and that it *may* affect our service. There hasn't been a whisper of internet here since 6pm on Tuesday. Could have warned us!

@iiNet @iiNet so today I have spoken to customer service, billing, provisioning and faults. Not 1 person has been able to help. I’ve been cut off twice and no call back so I get to start the whole process again. 17 years as a customer and this is the service/support I am getting

@misullivan @LG_Australia @iiNet Sure, iptables is fine for a basic policy-driven firewall, if it’s exposed by the modem vendor. Most aren’t. Most modems also support TR-069, which means they’re basically devices entirely controlled by the SP. I would never trust telco-provided CPE.

@iiNet Hi @iiNet since you don’t appear to be keen on sending out email Customer Service Feedback forms now a days. Would I recommend #iinet to others, 1 to 10. A BIG Fat Zero. How satisfied was I with the Customer Service, 1 to 10. Another BIG Fat Zero. Anything else to add:

  • SERG1O_D SERGIO 🇭🇲 (@SERG1O_D) reported

I'm flabbergasted that @iinet can't block emails to iinet email accounts that purport to be from iiNet support

  • MurrayDG Murray Galbraith (@MurrayDG) reported

@ben_colo @iiNet Aw dude, I was so keen to make this happen but the reviews made me think QLD weather would shut it down pretty often. Are you running one up there?

  • misullivan Michelle Sullivan (@misullivan) reported

@ianbfarquhar @LG_Australia @iiNet Well it can be a reasonable firewall... sorta.. it’s basically Linux and iptables which you can make a decent firewall out of... the problem is when it is also your endpoint with credentials it’s a problem.. need and “in” and “out” and the modem endpoint next to it.
