Repeated customer service incompetence - I’m rapidly remembering why I left! So my question to both carriers: do I continue to tolerate @VodafoneAU’s ridiculous network issues which they seem unwilling to address, or do I cross my fingers and hope that @Telstra can (2/4)

Eight years ago I ported out from @Telstra to @VodafoneAU. Now, thanks to ongoing poor network reliability (unrelated to the recent nationwide #vodafail) I’m looking to move back. Six days in and @Telstra haven’t successfully ported my number and have demonstrated (1/4)

@mkoko_p @VodafoneAU You make some fair points. 6. A polite call to their customer service team can do wonders for any individual adversely affected in a more serious way. I've often found @VodafoneAU staff will do their utmost to ensure an individual customer receives an acceptable outcome.

I appreciate the gesture by @VodafoneAU to offer free data all weekend to compensate for their recent outage, BUT, I have lots of data anyway, so I don’t get any compensIon - a bill rebate would be

@VodafoneAU ...We recently experienced an issue which disrupted our 4G mobile services... gesture of goodwill, we're offering FREE data services to customers this weekend, from 12:01am Saturday 24 April to 11:59pm Sunday 25 April. Piss poor gesture. Free month, or porting out.

@VodafoneAU How does discussing my account have anything to do with this? Would this lead to an outcome where the outage would be compensated for more than the absolute useless offer of free data? If so, why not publicly announce this, rather than asking people to contact you directly?

@deep_end_diving @VodafoneAU 1. Some on postpaid never finish their data anyway 2. Vodafone is already offering infinite data on some plans lol 3. Waiving the next bill caters to everyone 4. YOU may have had just “one day of inconvenience”. Doesn’t apply to every one. 5. It’s an empty gesture.

@VodafoneAU have a two day, complete drop out ... then "as a gesture of good will" offered data free on the weekend lol How bout respond to my multiple attempts to upgrade my phone/cancel my plan ... very much leaning towards the latter atm

@VodafoneAU offering free data for the recent outage is not really fair most people’s data plans are huge how about a discount from the monthly bill instead #badchoice
