@VodafoneAU hi, I live in Thomastown 3074, VIC. There is something wrong with the internet service on my phone since yesterday. I wanna know how to get it fix.

  • hohum3001 hohum (@hohum3001) reported

hey @VodafoneAU a friend's vodafone router only has fast ethernet (10/100) ports so that's his @Google Mesh can use via the WAN, but he's paid for the faster connection. Google being Google, they don't seem to support a wwlan setup. I don't know mesh. What can I tell him?

  • hohum3001 hohum (@hohum3001) reported

@VodafoneAU ok. It's common for level 1 support engineers to not understand the difference between gigabit ethernet & fast ethernet, so I was hoping I could save him the pain of explaining it to someone. Unless you don't believe me (perish the thought!).

  • drunkenmadman Agree Button Label (@drunkenmadman) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@swearyanthony @VodafoneAU @NSWSES Pretty sure I had a cert error using Vodafone via tethering on Thursday or Friday. In Melbs, naturally. Not an issue now but could suggest they’re rolling out certs around the country?

  • homebrandcola Lt Cmdr Timmy (@homebrandcola) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

For some reason my @SamsungAU S20 on @VodafoneAU had stopped doing wifi calling since yesterday. The setting isn't in the phone app anymore. This is an issue as there is no phone coverage at my house 🙃

  • swearyanthony Anthony B, (@swearyanthony) reported

The reference number for my trying and failing to explain to a couple of your tech support folks that your web proxy is broken and endangering lives is 3-2838263897424 btw @VodafoneAU. Apparently you log them for quality checks. Have a read. And fix it.

  • wolfcat Wolf, yes that is my name. (@wolfcat) reported

@swearyanthony @VodafoneAU 24 min to 48 min would be acceptable, not hours, esp when you have told them what the issue is. I think it took optus over a day to fix it when they blocked bitly a few years back as well.

  • JayMo31415 James M (@JayMo31415) reported

@swearyanthony @VodafoneAU Can confirm that all bit_dot_ly on the Vodafone network has been broken since at least Wednesday, I’ve seen exactly the same error. As the man says, they should refer to their engineers and fix their stuff. It’s often not possible to find the relevant alert from the target domain

  • garystark Professor West Wing Fried Chicken Shack (@garystark) reported

@VodafoneAU I wish that I could, but the connection - through your network - is so poor that it is barely holding up for me to post this tweet. Really not good enough. Not when it’s been going on all week.

  • swearyanthony Anthony B, (@swearyanthony) reported

I spent an hour trying to explain to them that they were endangering lives and even the "specialist" @VodafoneAU 2nd level support specialist was "check your VPN, or clear cookies" when I kept saying no, this is on you. You've broken it.
