@9NewsQueensland @TimArvier9 Perhaps an investigative report re lack of maintenance with rural & remote Telstra towers where older battery backups are failing - Qld townships have no comms for over 10hrs when Ergon supplies fail (another issue!). Telstra has NO replacement regime in place = QLD lives at risk

@Telstra We can’t get an answer as to what is being done & there seems to be some confusion about what the issue is. We haven’t used our internet any differently than the other months (over several years) that we have been with Telstra & my questions as to the data usage are being ignored

@Gunsinaustralia @KKeneally In Telstra it went like this: Gov owned- Skilled contractors. Benefits. Work done by the book. Slow red tape. Privatised- Overseas outsourced contractors, so that Telstra no longer pays super or benefits. Often not working to Australian standards, but cheaper. Faults often made.

How can I pay you mob hundreds of dollars every month & still get such awful service? Do you actually employ any humans or is everything just technology based? At least get your technology up and running efficiently if you're going to depend on it so heavily @Telstra @TelstraEnt

@Fathairylazy @Telstra Why do Telstra keep claiming faults are resolved when they are so clearly not? I cannot get anything done about my Mum's home phone that's been dead for over 4 weeks now. If they just phoned her number they would see it's not working. Do technicians even still exist? Seems not.

@Telstra This tweet brought to you by me piggy backing off my Optus phones fully functional mobile network data. Eftpos machines are unable to do this. So any work around has to come from Telstra or I have to get the bank to change to Optus.

@Telstra I have just read the Fair Use Policy and none of that is relevant to our situation, nor has it been mentioned to us via @telstra chat during this entire day of trying to sort this. Also, none of the remedial actions listed are what is happening with our service.

@Telstra Last time it was escalated, they had said they had fixed (obviously hadn't) it before the person I was speaking to had finished asking if they could help with anything else. People keep insisting they will fix it

@Josieamycashman @MrKRudd I refused to connect to the NBN because I didn't want to support ANOTHER government disaster. I use a Netgear LB2120 4G modem and Telstra data only sim. My internet blitzes my neighbours NBN, and it's portable anywhere in the country with phone signal. NBN=FAIL.

@Telstra Thanks Laura, the outage page is not correct at present. It’s a shame Optus and telstra can’t work together in a natural disaster to ensure people’s safety.
