@hughriminton Nah. Class action on Optus. Let them fail. Set an example. Then nationalise Telstra and Optus assets. Telecommunications is vital infrastructure. Make it cheap and world leading. Let’s stop pretending privatisation (duopoly 🙄) worked. #optusbreach #OptusDataBreach #auspol

  • krunchymoses Joel Hill (@krunchymoses) reported

The Optus data leak is bad, but @Telstra has linked several accounts to mine in my Telstra app and after several calls still haven't removed them. I've got control over other people's accounts in my app. I can see their bills and their details. I've asked Telstra to remove them

  • NatalieMarrett Natalie Marrett (@NatalieMarrett) reported

@lisakater I'm thinking telstra, mainly because living out in the country I'll have much better service with telstra. Service was good out here with optus up until around march, then it went downhill so bad! Now after all this crap, I'm more keen to get rid of it ahaha

  • Yarravillain Anthony La (@Yarravillain) reported

@niall_bigscreen @Raf_Epstein Adding to this, I wonder if the issue would be more applicable to banks/phone services/etc. if they’re holding onto your old number because they would use that to verify that you’re you - i.e. Telstra, who would have your old licence number so you can open more services/port/etc.

  • jayfeltulabing Jayfel Tulabing-Lee (@jayfeltulabing) reported

For obvious reasons I am changing phone providers this week and so far it’s for Telstra but does anyone else have any takes/suggestions on this? All telco’s are objectively **** but which one is less so?

  • krunchymoses Joel Hill (@krunchymoses) reported

@Telstra It's this complete inability to see the issue in a practical sense that has left the issue unresolved despite my efforts to simply give people I've helped in the past some privacy. But yeah I'm thinking data privacy isn't your concern. You're a telco - why should you care?

  • krunchymoses Joel Hill (@krunchymoses) reported

@Telstra Yeah I'll happily help you with this at my hourly rate. Otherwise good luck with your journey through the broken my Telstra app that allows people to track accounts they're authorised on in crazy detail - including spend their Telstra plus points.

  • YugNivek Yug Nivek🐀 (@YugNivek) reported

@GayCarBoys @slsandpet Telstra is just as bad, they keep all of your emails... & I mean All of it pictures, data, documents, all of the stuff you thought you had deleted.

  • Geofftheplumber Geoff Thomas (@Geofftheplumber) reported

@GavinWakeupint1 One company fails to look after your security the other has difficulty managing your payments on your account Good Luck to all those poor souls looking for service or a reasonable outcome in an Optus or Telstra store

  • KleinRevd Revd Andrew Klein ( Chaplain) (@KleinRevd) reported

@BradSabbath @mel_wright123 I think, from my personal experience with Optus, Telstra, NBN is that we are dealing with organizations driven by the profit motive, providing a reliable & safe service often comes last and requires government directives and threats, otherwise it's business as usual
