The business was a cash cow. Telstra would send tens of thousands of dollars every month, yrs after our rel’ship to the customer had faded to nothing. Most ppl would buy a phone and we’d never see them again but Telstra kept sending us 3% of the value of their monthly phone bill.

@IndigoDaya I've also recently switched to Aussie Broadband, from Dodo, and I still have Telstra for phone. AB has the best customer service of any utility company I've ever dealt with. I don't dread calling them, which is a good measure for me!

How is it that when I try to call @Telstra, they hang up on me and tell me to use their chat function - to only have them do nothing after 3 hours? What the hell is this service?

Each time I’m forced to deal with @Optus or @VodafoneAU support I invariably end up annoyed with them. And then there are times like this where I have to deal with @Telstra support, and am reminded what truly horrible customer service is. Wasted hours trying to fix a $2 SIM…
