The business was a cash cow. Telstra would send tens of thousands of dollars every month, yrs after our rel’ship to the customer had faded to nothing. Most ppl would buy a phone and we’d never see them again but Telstra kept sending us 3% of the value of their monthly phone bill.

@rayinstirling I use AirPods for the phone, but use my old phone for the music. I have wifi in the car too. Everything is on Telstra, our biggest carrier. I get signal almost everywhere I travel around this humongous island.

Incidentally, it feels weird using the term "on-account" for what we in Australia would call "postpaid" mobile. Having to change my language now that Telstra "postpaid" is indeed, now, prepaid. 🙃 You don't even get pro-rata refunds anymore if you cancel half-way thru a month.

@Telstra there aren’t any outages but the signal is red when it is usually orange 🤔the weather has been fine so i don’t understand why it would be so bad

My wife was called by a Telstra store employee. The guy had a go at her because she gave him and 8 out of 10 in a survey. He had told us to give him a 9 as anything less than a 9 is seen as a fail. The guy is now under the pump from his boss cause we gave him an 8. 1/2
