The business was a cash cow. Telstra would send tens of thousands of dollars every month, yrs after our rel’ship to the customer had faded to nothing. Most ppl would buy a phone and we’d never see them again but Telstra kept sending us 3% of the value of their monthly phone bill.

@Telstra The Pre-Paid Casual plan is the very one your “52 Pick Up” computer system just upgraded me to! Which started this 25 he problem. @Telstra

  • LLewerenz L Lewerenz 💧🌱 (@LLewerenz) reported

@jriewolod @SabraLane @Telstra however most people with landline do have telstra handsets as that was handset when they moved in. many later kept it on even after buying own, as it covered cost of tech coming out to fix line in premises. if not you were up for hefty fees.

  • NotSwagman Not_so_Jolly_Swagman 🕯🗣 (@NotSwagman) reported

@jriewolod @Telstra J have you got a solution for her aged care? My 95 yr old mother in law is currently paying $45 a month for a mobile plan because they no longer run landlines in the facility. She is deaf & bed bound & uses zero data. @Telstra

  • kath_leahy Kath Leahy (@kath_leahy) reported

@jriewolod @Telstra How shocking! Why did they privatise that service (Telecom?) in the first place? Take that story to ABC 7.30 because it truly will be the tip of the iceberg and it goes to the heart of the problem of utilities and essential services being sold off. Dumb Oz.

  • brigid_niall Brigid Niall (@brigid_niall) reported

@jriewolod @Telstra Telephone Ombudsman immediately. And lodge a complaint with Telstra. One of the questions is have you lodged a complaint. Surprisingly quick responses if you check YES

  • BaileyFST W Bailey (@BaileyFST) reported

@jriewolod @Telstra That's atrocious. I'd be making that as PUBLIC as I could. Damage the @Telstra brand as much as possible until they repay every cent.

  • HelloEssJay EssJayAych (@HelloEssJay) reported

@jriewolod @Telstra It went in for ages and I refused to pay the bills so that passed it over to a credit agency which ultimately effected my ongoing credit etc. Shouldn’t have to be this way. They are simply the worst.

  • ChrisEgginton Chris Egginton (@ChrisEgginton) reported

@jriewolod @peggymel2001 @Telstra Never use Telstra. The company relies on older ppl reluctant to let go. Manged to say good bye when they put an account to the receivers without informing me. It had in fact been paid. 6 years prior so no receipt. No apology. No retraction. Forced to pay twice.1990s

  • BichenoJasmine Jasmine Bicheno (@BichenoJasmine) reported

@jriewolod @vanOnselenP @Telstra Consumer affairs should fix that for you.

  • BethvsB BethvsBrain (@BethvsB) reported

@wasacarlin @jriewolod @Telstra That sounds like a you problem. If you don't need the tablet don't take it. I find it hard to believe you spent 3 years not noticing an extra $20/m on your own bill.
