The business was a cash cow. Telstra would send tens of thousands of dollars every month, yrs after our rel’ship to the customer had faded to nothing. Most ppl would buy a phone and we’d never see them again but Telstra kept sending us 3% of the value of their monthly phone bill.

@jamiemgalea as I've blasted vodafone for in the past, their missed call system is also dogshit compared to what Optus and Telstra offer (voice to SMS/MMS), they only inform you of a missed call, which if you're out of service, doesn't display who called without querying voicemail

@Telstra @acccgovau Now that I have paid the account I don't suppose it would be too much to ask for the service originally requested?

@BrianBrownUCA 1. "Hi Telstra/Amaysim etc, I lost my phone. But I got a new one, can you transfer my number?" "no problem, let me just get a few details from you .." 2. 'Forgot your password? Let us sms you a new one ..." Its a bit scary.

@decryption So pointless. The data's already gone. Lots are switching to Telstra which isn't any better. Cheap MVNOs like Boost and Gomo are the way to go - only pay what you want for the service you want, not lots more than you want for a service you hate... Same goes with big banks.

@Telstra Hi Jo - Telstra's customer service and billing systems are always horrible to deal with. The people are fine - the systems are terrible. Need significant investment to make them less terrible

@jamiemgalea I'm on felix which runs on the network. Reception is good in places where telstra just seems to underperform (like at crown). **** all service out in regional though
