The business was a cash cow. Telstra would send tens of thousands of dollars every month, yrs after our rel’ship to the customer had faded to nothing. Most ppl would buy a phone and we’d never see them again but Telstra kept sending us 3% of the value of their monthly phone bill.

Hey trusted friends / colleagues. Looking for someone with a non-Telstra phone who might check a phone service for me. Loads of dramas with @Telstra trying to get Lismore family's home phone reconnected after the flood. Please DM if you can help.

  • lisapodcasts Lisa Tait 💙💛 (@lisapodcasts) reported

@ohreallytruly I just remembered a portion of the Trade Practices Act which say you can’t be charged for a service you didn’t receive. I feel like taking this to NCAT because it’s gross and the gold service Telstra people keep asking me to repeat myself.

  • Myorca2 123 (@Myorca2) reported

@LesStonehouse My home burnt down 8 years ago (in Melbourne), still to be rebuilt by the insurer. (finally started). I (and 20 other families involved) still pay water bills quarterly, the BC still pay power bills and a telstra bill for the lift (emergency phone). Agree- it’s disgraceful.

  • PhantomTipper ThePhantomTipper (@PhantomTipper) reported

@Telstra Ok, but I am not even a Telstra customer, that's what triggered my suspicion.

  • twitchiebitch Twitchie ***** (@twitchiebitch) reported

@SueBursztynski I moved into a place that hadn’t had landline for three years and Telstra (irony not lost in this thread) wanted to charge astronomical amount to flick a switch. I went naked DSL and never looked back.

  • MandatedMarrrow MandatedMarrrow (@MandatedMarrrow) reported

@DarkViperAU @Telstra Telstra I never liked their customer service they take to long to get to

  • gcoving GAC76 (@gcoving) reported

@Telstra I tried the DM route with you. But there is no solution. Telstra’s infrastructure is deficient. So I have to take time off work whilst we all pray things get fixed.
