Leo Stevenson (@Leo__stevenson) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Telstra If I could switch providers I would in a second, but I can’t because of Telstra’s stranglehold on the market making it the only option which means it can do as it pleases and **** the consumer
-
jk (@JohnnyLydon) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@geoffrey_payne The cost of fixing ancient ex-Telstra infrastructure was never considered for the mixed technology option or the cost of maintaining it long term. Sometimes you have to cut your losses
-
Liam Cochrane (@Liam_Cochrane) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Telstra You replied. Once. Then stopped. Good job 👍 Weirdly my problem didn’t get resolved. Fancy that. Goodnight useless corporate blob.
-
tappeD (@tvppeD) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
Hi @Telstra I used to average 10-20MS and had fast speeds, our internet was turned off/broken a few days ago and we had a technician come over today and “fix it” ever since he replaced the modem and fixed the issue, I’ve been averaging 700-2000MS and haven’t been able to load
-
Justine Hyde 🏳️🌈 (@justine_hyde) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@roffwrites @Telstra I had a similar AusPost parcel fiasco. I got one back, the other never showed up...
-
mektronik (@mektronik) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@peterfraserbris @pfh007 We were working on deal with a large digital advertising co but JC de Co said they would pull a billion dollar contract with telstra if we did. They pulled it anyway but long after we were shutdown. Management is awful in that place
-
Justine Hyde 🏳️🌈 (@justine_hyde) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
Instead of reading dystopian fiction you could, as a long term customer, choose to call @telstra or @CommBank for help. The Kafkaesque experience induces an existential crisis and tears of frustration every time.
-
Petros Ioannou (@petros_ioannou) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Telstra A fault in the street. Requires the NBN team to come back and do works. Apparently that can’t be done till Jan 31st After 2 hours on the phone I managed to get an extra 25GB added to my mobile data. No further resolution possible though I’m told
-
Andrew J Phelan (@ajphelo) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@HCICanberra @Birmo @AIBC_Ltd @MEAIndia @IndianDiplomacy Great to see. One request. Please do your best to shut down all the fraud call centers based in India who ring Australian numbers pretending to be CommBank, the NBN, Telstra etc. I get calls everyday. If my mum who has dementia picks up she gets distressed. My neighbor lost 5k
-
Brooke Plummer (@iBrookie) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@gav_mck @Telstra I’m wondering the same thing. Heard it all day....but don’t see anything about a national outage.....
-
jk (@JohnnyLydon) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@adv_australia Not his problem. He has fibre to his home laid on according to ex Telstra techies
-
adenos slept (@adenos_tiger) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Telstra NBN is down in 3165. Both the cable conversion box says online. No dial tone in the phone. Just trying to have a relaxing night, but seems that's not going to be the case now. :/
-
Trevor Young (@trevoryoung) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
Hell of a tech day - VyprVPN has shat itself, LinkedIn has gremlins, Telstra broadband outage (again). Pass me a stone tablet please.
-
BKhawks70 (@BKHAWKS70) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
Airport West server issues update No1 - Received a text this morning indicating that Telstra hope to have it fixed by the 26/11/19. Should’ve kept those carrier pigeons...🤔🤬 #airportwestservercrisis #herenonbn @Telstra @TelstraEnt
-
Trevor Young (@trevoryoung) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
I’ve never understood why Telstra started creating websites (for AFL and its clubs) - it’s not their core business and unsurprisingly they’ve never done it well, and that extends to its apps - I have two on my phone, neither work. 😔
-
BKhawks70 (@BKHAWKS70) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
Hi Telstra, thanks for NOT telling me about the server issues that YOU have in Airport West that is affecting MY business on a daily basis. I’ll just keep paying my bill for a service that will be repaired some time soon...🤬🤬 @TelstraEnt #NBN
-
emily ulman (@millylala) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Telstra Maaaaany cooking tutorials later, my issue was finally sorted. But dedicrated isn’t a word, huh. Thanks x 2
-
Sophie Welsh (@soph_welsh) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Telstra Damn the squeaky wheel really does get the grease. I’ve sent you a message, Tim @ Telstra
-
Sophie Welsh (@soph_welsh) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
Hey @Telstra not at all happy that our internet is down due to NBN works (we’re not on the NBN) and you’re now refusing to come through with the previously offered compensatory data bc my billing address is my postal not residential address! I’m a 10yr customer & 3yr shareholder
-
Ashli (@OuterspaceGRL79) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Telstra so many outages this week in Tyabb. Please fix. Really over the lack of service. Speed is so slow the speed test doesn't even work.
-
Ann Threlfall (@annthrel) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Telstra I understand. I.m confused. You say there's no outage. They say there is; no internet since 2.30 this afternoon.
-
Robert Nash (@robertnash74) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Telstra @SamsungAU - I have a Samsung smart TV - only a few years old. Have recently moved to @NBN_Australia with Telstra. However cannot seem to access network. Can someone pls help me!!
-
Michael Carmody (@EmJaeCaer) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@topguNtv @Aussie_BB @Telstra They definitely seem to have dropped a yard of pace from their earlier blindingly good service. Sad times.
-
Dean Moore (@12_dean) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Telstra OMG. Service. Once again no internet. Then call tech support. No help but I can put you through to the platinum team and they will fix it for $60. Great little scam. It’s once again your issue why my internet died. Nothing to do with my end. Service or scam.
-
BSP (@44_BSP) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Telstra Nope, no reference numbers or anything. Was told my ticket would be left open so they monitor the issue and promised a call back in 24 hours which - as far as I can see - I have not had. My internet is also not working, again.
-
Mattles Returns (@zootymoose) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Telstra is lack of 4G a known issue on trains between Flinders st and Cheltenham stations in Melbourne
-
Jarvis Johnson (@Jarvascious) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@domm @jonathannen Lurking but thought I should share - Verizon is the Telstra of US. AT&T is the Optus - OK in cities and bad elsewhere.
-
Gavin Lewis (@gavinlewis89) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Telstra Thanks 🙂. I’m aware of the smart modem, but I shouldn’t have to pay to replace my existing Telstra supplied modem to work around a network issue. A free placement would be appreciated 😉

Drew James. 加油 (@trainspotter67) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@OperationalInc1 @Telstra I was switched 24 Oct. was great got a few days. Then got this problem. Seems Middayish. Which wouldn’t be volume related. Tho the sms sends me messages that there are problems at 9am, when it is perfectly ok. Someone has really FU.
-
Drew James. 加油 (@trainspotter67) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
All I want from @Telstra is a working nbn service. Just please.
-
Drew James. 加油 (@trainspotter67) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
Hey @Telstra 17 dropouts of the NBN in 24 days since connected. Seems to go out for 2 hours at a time. Usually middayish. Not great when trying to work. This is not a service, it’s just a pain.
-
Jay Ball (@JayBallzup) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@WildMN_34 @SWrightAU @ItsJustBaxy I had similar issues with my OG. Could never get it working. Traded for an X. Might be worth doing the All access thing with Telstra and then upgrading to Scarlett next year.
-
stuart pascoe (@stpascoe) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Telstra No they were no help😤going to bed now hope it fixed by morning
-
💧 Makin' a Mess #ARRF 🇦🇺 (@leo_cadle) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@EugeneWare What I had before, except not @Telstra because they are stupid and disconnected me for a technology swap that never happened
-
stuart pascoe (@stpascoe) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
So after so many years with @SamsungMobile starting at s2 till my current #S10Plus I brought an @Apple #ipadpro12 and have never been happier😀 so I've ordered the new #iPhone11ProMax #AppleWatchSeries5 and #airpods2 that should be here soon from @Telstra #appletips #applehelp
-
Eileen B Kenny (@eileen_1956) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Red_and_Blue26 You might live to rue going to Optus. They have not purchased adequate broadband & the NBN highlights that. 10 weeks with no solution - hello Telstra, bye bye Optus. Not one second of regret, we have not dropped out once in over 3 months with T.
-
Simon Pollock (@gtvone) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
Call @TPG_Telecom ‘yes your line is stuffed, check your modem!’ ..no no, it was @NBN_Australia ..THEN they tell me ‘we have to escalate to @Telstra sorry, no Fix ETA possible!’ Today of all days... 2 of flipping 2... #homeworker #bitcross #noheadsup #yeahnah
-
Nathan Bobik (@nathan_bobik) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Telstra Ran the test....says everything is ok, however these constant 30 second dropouts are becoming slightly annoying seeing I can’t seem to figure out a solution.
-
💧 Makin' a Mess #ARRF 🇦🇺 (@leo_cadle) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
So mad, Telstra/NBN just disconnected me with not a single email or call, because they want me to move my cable service to nbn, to get the same plan would cost me $60 a month extra, and it will take 10 business days
-
Mick (@mikjcal) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@colin_aus @BeauGiles @Aussie_BB Yeah, that’s the issue I’ve always had with Telstra. Service ok, but the support is so painful and makes you bang yourself head against a wall. What I like about ABB is they are extremely transparent with issues and even publish all their network capacity graphs online.
-
matthew craig (@whatmsees) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
Yo @Telstra I’m tryina pay a bill, GIVE YOU MONEY... but your website, app and payment options are all down. Find a solution pls. Nothing surprises me anymore
-
💧Robyn D💦 (@KoparaFallsKid) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@SydneySwitch I can't change that, Optus are in charge of their infrastructure arrangements, not me! The test just tells me Optus are using a Telstra server in the provision of their service to me.
-
Nial Finegan (@NialFinegan) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@redruby17 Besides the NBN itself look out for really poor Road works, shoddy pavement repairs, ugly/poor cabling installation on buildings. (My NBN is with Telstra “Hybrid Fibre Coaxial” and have no issues with service/speeds)
-
Blair Hughes (@MrBlairHughes) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Telstra Just odd how I can get 9 now live etc but nothing showing up on 19. Might be a rights issue re rugby on 10play or 10olay just doesn't do anything live. All good thanks
-
Dave Hall (@skwashd) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Telstra Let’s wait and see. It can’t really be any worse than the “service” I’ve received since Saturday.
-
Adam Eberbach (@aeberbach) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@jan_ekholm Well that blew up! I wasn’t watching. Yeah internal network with DNS as Pi-Hole, bridged to hardcoded DNS from Telstra. As for spyware set-top boxes, “smart” TVs etc., they don’t get a network connection at all.
-
Aaron Wallis (@d2kagw) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Telstra I spoke to your call centre yesterday who said there was an issue with activations. Its been 40 hours since I tried activating the eSim on my iPhone 11, which is a replacement for my physical sim in my old iPhone X. Please helllllppppppp
-
Samuel Janda (@SamJanda) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Telstra Given hotspots are something you use in transience, I'm not going to contact support only to be leaving the hotspot shortly after. I would just hope Telstra could perform effective QA so I don't have this problem next time.
-
Simon (@learning2tri) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
Epic fail by Telstra. Nbn installed for some 9 months still can’t bill be right now not willing to help. @Telstra #Telstrafail #nbn
-
Darth Fantasy (@grand_fantasy) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Telstra Don’t pet yourself on the back too soon. I’m using your network but under Belong, because Telstra’s prices for data suck. I know it’s a Telstra division, but still.

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:-
백곰아리 / 흰곰고래 (@liquidtype_jinn) reported
@Telstra My area internet still have problem. outage page siad do not detect problems. So I try to connect that site, but internet is very slow and that page still roading. I check the internet speed, and result is 16.1 kb/s.
-
Dan Graetz (@graetzy) reported
@RealMarkLatham Asking AGL about a sensible transition to renewables is like asking @Telstra how make the NBN. “You should buy our rusted EOL copper network!! It’ll only cost $11 billion and it used to be yours anyway!!!”
-
Demi. (@demifitz) reported
@Telstra actually sick of your responses in regards to my mobile dropping out/not being able to make or receive calls/texts. Over 25 days of this and your best response is “techs are working on the issue and you’ll be credited.” 1/2
-
WorstGovEver..george (@OverTheHill4) reported
Telstra wireless NBN 8 hr outage yesterday bad day for business
-
Trickery (@TrickeryYT) reported
Was planning on starting the stream up soon but my internet keeps cutting out every few minutes so ima hold off and see if Telstra want to chill ******** out so I can stream for a few hours
-
Erin Madden (@emadd85) reported
@ImJordo1 @Telstra It is the same for us as well. We have lost internet and the back up mobile network as well since the storms in Brisbane but the Telstra site says there is no outages in our area.
-
Robert Hudson (@manaz_d) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@jendudley @Telstra I am a mega geek too. I generally notice bad network performance. I really hate buffering in particular. My wife complained about the NBN being slow the other day, then realised she wasn't on Wi-Fi and it was actually the Telstra 4G service having issues.
-
Robert Hudson (@manaz_d) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@jendudley @Telstra I am getting a solid 48Mbps down on my 50/20 service. I don't generally miss the 104Mbps I got on Telstra cable except when kids are streaming and I want to as well. If I get even 80Mbps down out of a 100/40 service, I doubt I will miss the 20Mbps - and will enjoy the upstream.
-
Jeremy King (@JezzaK) reported
@Telstra I believe I have another appointment with nbn to come out and connect me. Problem is it seems your in the hands of the contractors. I’ve been very hesitant to get the nbn since I’ve only ever heard bad things. Mobile whilst not as good at least is easy. I buy and I’m connected.
-
Bachir El Ali (@Bash0202) reported
Actually they told me i can disconnect the line with #telstra that's make me shocked i been telstra customer from long time. Thanks telstra for your support. Shame on you😡
