Telstra outage continues with the status as still 'investigating' pretty sure we are on day 11 now.
-
Andrew J Phelan (@ajphelo) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@JaneCaro @Telstra I reckon if you wanted to win the election and you promised to fix the telcos you’d be a shoe in!
-
Kevin Rankin (@kevdee4) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
.@Telstra you have said it will be 24-48 hours for 4 weeks now and I still haven’t received a phone call. Your customer service is absolutely terrible. I’m canceling my service with you so I’d like a call back to find out where I send your modem back too.
-
Mick (@mikjcal) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@phazzles I’m going through the same with my parents. Telstra hands down as you get 4G back up so the phone will always work even if an outage happens 👌🏻 Telstra will also do phone only NBN Plans with pensioner discount.

TheWeed (@GregRandall1) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@JohnBirmingham @Telstra @Optus Oh I feel your pain. I had to organise internet with a fixed IP address for my Mum’s home security cams. She kept cancelling her internet account because “I don’t use that rubbish” and setting up new, costly phone accounts that involved cancel fees. #dayslost

Jonathan (@tweet__j_b_) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Telstra ... and then you’ll charge $100 a month for a pitiful data allowance, like you have elves with a good union digging in your data mine or some shit.
-
Robyn D (@KoparaFallsKid) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Pamelanicholls6 @andrewofoz @JaneCaro @Telstra I do that too, using my phone as a hotspot. But that chews through the data allowance and they (in my case Optus) don't let you have extra phone data because the internet is down. They still charge $10 a Gb for extra usage over the monthly allowance.
-
Mike Stevens (@mikedoeslife) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
Turns out the fastest way to get service in a Telstra store is to walk in with an Optus bag in your hand
-
Chris (@topher_1976) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@UndaSthnXiStand @larry_blunders @OptusEnterprise Telstra has NOT started switching 3G off. They did turn their 2100MHz network off a few years ago, but the 850MHz network has not.
-
Mick (@mikjcal) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@drewciferNZ @phazzles Issue is, it’s for the elderly, so Telstra might be a better option in this instance as the 4G backup won’t leave them with no phone if an issue arises with the internet.

𝔾𝕙𝕠𝕤𝕥𝕀𝕟𝕋𝕙𝕖𝕄𝕒𝕔𝕙𝕚𝕟𝕖 (@AGhostMachine) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
Last night's (amazing) stream took 30+ gig of mobile Data - unfortunately I don't think I can keep that up. 11 days into this Telstra outage they gave me a return time of 7pm tomorrow... Let's cross or fingers/toes/other bits.

𝔾𝕙𝕠𝕤𝕥𝕀𝕟𝕋𝕙𝕖𝕄𝕒𝕔𝕙𝕚𝕟𝕖 (@AGhostMachine) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Telstra I assure you it is nothing to do with the on site equipment. There has been close to thirty outages in two months. I simply want to report this node/leg as still being down
-
Parker (@_prkr) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
Turns on data roaming and it connects to optus... settings>data>network> @Telstra 🙏🏻

𝔾𝕙𝕠𝕤𝕥𝕀𝕟𝕋𝕙𝕖𝕄𝕒𝕔𝕙𝕚𝕟𝕖 (@AGhostMachine) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Telstra @Telstra you have now slowed my 'backup' 4g to the point I cannot even load netbanking or the public transport site. And thrboutsgrbstillnhas 2 days (which will take it to 8-9 days down) unthrottle this backup immediately please .
-
Guy Incognito (@TeamBloomart) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@JohnBirmingham @Telstra @Optus I used to pay my dad's bigpond account (in his name, my cc direct debit deets). When he died I tried to cancel the account. Imagine how that went.
-
Maisy Hutchings (@maisysh) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Telstra Your message is considered commercial in nature as it contains a link to an advertisement (for a product/service I’m not a customer of). Asking me to provide my contact details again in order to unsubscribe is pretty dodgy and not the level of customer service I expect.
-
Kevin Rankin (@kevdee4) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Telstra worst decision ever was to sign up with Telstra. Not one single person who I’ve spoke to can identify the problem. 4 weeks without working adsl, you even sent the first months bill through the week I signed up, shocking service.

𝔾𝕙𝕠𝕤𝕥𝕀𝕟𝕋𝕙𝕖𝕄𝕒𝕔𝕙𝕚𝕟𝕖 (@AGhostMachine) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Telstra It has just updated and is down again for another 2 days :(
-
Robyn D (@KoparaFallsKid) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Pamelanicholls6 @andrewofoz @JaneCaro @Telstra In my view, they should provide free additional phone data when broadband is down.
-
𝔾𝕙𝕠𝕤𝕥𝕀𝕟𝕋𝕙𝕖𝕄𝕒𝕔𝕙𝕚𝕟𝕖 (@AGhostMachine) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Optus Yup - bought some extra data and continued to use the Optus 4g to power my household. I will be sending the bill the way of Telstra if they ever try to resolved the issue :(

@Telstra All of those questions and conditions in the form and instructions would be resolved if you had an address to forward them to. Nate as you’re making your customers work harder than necessary to report the issue.

@Telstra Not a customer, I'm referring to the recent ACCC court case against Telstra caused by Telstra promising speeds it didn't deliver.

Jonny Sheeple (@jonnyA85193246) reported
@margaretthrosby @Telstra I have a small mobile broadband for such situations. Other problem if your electricity goes down so does NBN- no landline or internet
-
Brett White (@telemeister) reported
@Telstra the saga continues, after making a complaint about NBN service a case manager arranged a technician to come out. Just received a text saying I would be charged $135 for the first $30 minutes then $40 for ever 15 minutes after that. Seriously. Punished for complaining!
-
🇨🇦 🇮🇹 🇦🇺 💪🏼💉💪🏼 Joe Ortenzi (@wheelyweb) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@Telstra It’s almost as if you want to make it harder to report it so you have fewer issues to track and resolve. #darkPatterns
-
Adam Garner (@agarner) reported
@Telstra No. Why do you make it so hard. (1) buy online. (2) Your account is now locked please go to store to show id. (3) wait for lockdown to lift. (4) Visit store give id & am told to re-contact online support. (5) Online support says someone will call me back. Not feeling the love
-
Monky questing New Year (@BennyTheMonky) reported
I called Telstra to fix the socket, they told me “call NBN.” I call NBN, I get an auto directory and when I punch in the options I get auto hung up on. G f’ing G. So I’m guess it’s nobody’s problem. So I guess I’m stuck on my *** waiting till 2023 waiting for 5G for my home.
-
Mustapha Mond (@MustaphaMond73) reported
@Telstra The customer service is really bad. I’ve called multiple times for an issue with my account and was told they’ll call me back or fix it but so far haven’t heard anything and the problem still there.
