@Telstra Calling Telstra only to be disconnected and referred to a text service with a non- human who is incapable of responding to anything off script. No call back.

  • MickinGong
MickintheGong (@MickinGong) reported from Wollongong, New South Wales

Telstra. Waiting to have the account activated. Takes up to 4 hours. So far, 2 days. Message from them " There unfortunately is a delay in the activation" No shit Sherlock. Call to complain. " want to lodge a complaint" Sorry, wrong dept, this is billing" transfers me to billing

  • BronwynCarlson
Dr Bronwyn Carlson (@BronwynCarlson) reported from Wollongong, New South Wales

@Telstra That’s a poor excuse sorry. The phone calls never get through to a human regardless of what you need. Your text service is inadequate and also not a human. The most response I’ve received is on Twitter because it’s public. I fear for my 75 y/o mum dealing with Telstra

  • naomi_t_81
Naomi Elle (@naomi_t_81) reported from Wollongong, New South Wales

@Telstra I’m won’t know until next week. Please fix you menu system to make it easier to talk with a person.

  • naomi_t_81
Naomi Elle (@naomi_t_81) reported from Wollongong, New South Wales

@mels_mck @Telstra It sucks but the easiest way I’ve found if you are out of contract is just switch to another provider with your new name, I would think @Telstra could handle this but treating someone with dignity may be a bit much for them.

  • iB3nji
Ben (@iB3nji) reported from Wollongong, New South Wales

@blake_andersson @Telstra @Optus Go Boost Mobile! I’m with them. Same Telstra network, unlimited Apple Music, more data for less. Pre-paid.

  • NatalieMoran20
Ms-Nat, #ProudProle (@NatalieMoran20) reported from Wollongong, New South Wales

Who rings octogenarians at 7pm on a Sunday to confirm that a problem they didn’t even know about had been rectified to their satisfaction? @Telstra you do-why? Thanks for the distressed elderly rellies, thanks for the missed call I couldn’t return, thanks for the cold dinner 🤬

  • iB3nji
Ben (@iB3nji) reported from Wollongong, New South Wales

@tuppaware @jono_hayward Worth mentioning though that Telstra have removed that note on their outage page.

  • BronwynCarlson
Dr Bronwyn Carlson (@BronwynCarlson) reported from Wollongong, New South Wales

@Telstra That is not true at all. I’ve requested to speak to somebody with no result. It’s poor service.

  • shenmaxiu
沈马修 (@shenmaxiu) reported from Wollongong, New South Wales

@Telstra @janehansen2000 This is about cellular and backhaul capacity issues; you already have the metrics on your systems to indicate the issues, @Telstra

@stephenradical @Telstra Yep, but despite this Telstra POST you the QR code for it - so stupid.

  • Shane_Szakacs
Shane Szakacs (@Shane_Szakacs) reported from Wollongong, New South Wales

Been in my new house 7 weeks & @NBN_Australia keeps canceling & will not give me a reason why. Hopefully @Telstra complaints department can help. #internetsucks

  • BronwynCarlson
Dr Bronwyn Carlson (@BronwynCarlson) reported from Wollongong, New South Wales

Trying to solve a @Telstra issue with endless hours on hold, when I get through I get disconnected, no call back- shitty service. I’m starting to doubt any humans work there. Time for a change of service providers!

  • AlexBrangwin
Alexandria Brangwin (@AlexBrangwin) reported from Wollongong, New South Wales

@LoneVaultWander Being in one of the housing estates ruined by @Telstra due to their pair gain nightmare...I never even had proper internet...never had a squad. There is so much of the 2000s people took for granted I never had!

  • dan69rr
Danielle Moustoukis (@dan69rr) reported from Wollongong, New South Wales

@Telstra @andy_penn Imagine if a surgeon went MIA or left the operating room and said they’ll get back to you real soon when they work out your problem. How much longer until our practice @GongSurgical bleeds out because your not able to sort out the provisioning of our phones?

  • iB3nji
Ben (@iB3nji) reported from Wollongong, New South Wales

@Telstra_news “Telstra operate the nation’s only 5G network”. I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure @Optus has 5G too.

Got the corporate bs apology email from Telstra. I laugh when CEO says how serious they take things - but not serious enough to provide credit. FOS.BTW absolutely crap service in Darwin, Kununurra let alone anywhere in between. Looking forward to mobile direct to Starlink.

  • ravirockks
    Dr Ravi Nayyar (@ravirockks) reported

As per Telstra (Submission No 7.2 to the 000 Inquiry) thus far: - Maintenance work on timing equipment --> Telstra restarts the box. - On restart, the GPS card didn't work as expected because of an intentional design change to fix an earlier issue --> GPS PNT flaw was triggered.

Telstra to buy Tinder Canberra- Telcom giant Telstra has announced a bid to buy the dating app Tinder. "Both our brands set low expectations then fail to deliver so it made sense" Said a spokesperson

  • wilma_domjan
    Wilma Domjan (@wilma_domjan) reported

@keating01 Isn’t OPTUS & Telstra’s outage breakdown a strong reason NOT TO go digital on everything under one system of Government control? How many different services went out - not just 000? Can’t bank, buy petrol, grocery, use your card! EVEN WORSE is if we have a power supply outage!

  • vonkittenmask
    Peter von Kittenmask (@vonkittenmask) reported

@Telstra Good PR, this. Short term, the outage was a bit of a disaster, but accepting responsibility and learning from it internally is the right way to move on. Crazy that something as simple as NTP can cause a rolling cascade, but that's the nature of the beast.

  • teflocarbon
    Teflo (@teflocarbon) reported

@agroasx @Telstra Your point being? I never said Starlink won’t affect anyone. It will likely hurt rural broadband providers and established satellite companies such as Viasat. That is still very different from "eating Telstra’s business."

  • miss_inputs
    Megan 🐈‍⬛ (@miss_inputs) reported

@Telstra I'm not even a Telstra customer I'm just adding to the ratio

  • nole_skum_inaug
    nole_skum (@nole_skum_inaug) reported

@Telstra How about getting a decent CEO that can see you through this **** and not a useless DEI hire?

  • Tr3ggs
    Tr3ggs (@Tr3ggs) reported

@FREAK0NAUT @Nd172557208 So you spend the 30k and make it a redundant fail over rather than a single fail point. Still a rounding error for Telstra.
