Feels kind of pointless talking yet again to a polite but unempowered L1 support person. I don't want to go to another network because I spent a fair bit of time in remote areas that only Telstra have coverage in. But may need to resort to having two services :-(

Some extra details - everything apart from SMS receipt is fine - internet works, can send SMS can make/receive phone calls. Also it's a ported number (0481 prefix) - so maybe the issue is in whatever needs to redirect SMS from that prefix to Telstra network.

@Telstra Lauren we have been on the phone for another 2 hours and still no resolution. PLEASE HELP US- NOBODY IS HELPING US!!!

@SmurfingBeer @R_Chirgwin @Telstra I am on what seems to be latest Telstra pixel 5 build available, last updated sept 1 and problem started about sep 26. Don't connect to wifi much, but having it on or off doesn't seem to change things.

@Telstra Yeah I've been doing that for two weeks now, feels pointless to keep following up that way since I keep getting told someone will call me then they never do. Any other ways I can escalate this so someone actually looks at it?

@Telstra Could you please explain to me why our Pharmacy business still has no internet after 48 hours, even though we were promised a technician within 24 hours. We provide vital medications to nursing homes and we cannot do our work. Pathetic service by Telstra.

I’ve been a @Telstra customer for about 32 years. 13 of those as a employee. I’ve got 5 mobile services with Telstra. I spend about $600 a month with you. I upgrade four mobiles every year. And without fail every time I upgrade a handset something goes wrong. I’m done!
