@morrisperry Yes , appears to be the issue with @VodafoneAU , my work phones on @Telstra and no issue with it in regional areas
-
Tim (@TimothyJ_23) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Telstra I understand all that. I'd just think if the issue happens on telstra devices and not those on other networks maybe it's something to discuss with the venue. I know telcos work with venues on capacity boosting infrastructure hence my suggestion ☺

I have rarely received scam calls. Interesting I am now getting multiple a day. Scam: I am calling about your Telstra internet. (I am with @Optus: not a recommendation btw) Rob: Did you say 'Telstar'? Scam: Telstra. It's an internet service provider. Rob: Oh is it?

@Teltsra @Telstra I’ve been put on hold seven separate times by seven different departments. Each time I’ve had to start from scratch and explain what’s happening over and over again. The customer service, and the language problems is absolutely abysmal.

Pamela (@PamelaD888) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Received a phishing call allegedly from @Telstra - a little more clever than usual - they offered a 40% discount on my bill for 12mths & when I said "sure, apply the discount" they said they just needed some"verification": name&DoB. Never give these details to unverified callers.

After 6 weeks of hell dealing with @telstra to swap from #foxtel to #telstra for our internet we were “absolutely promise” the service would commence last night. Rebooted modems this morning, guess what, still no Telstra 😡 - Your OS Callcentres are a joke. #australia

-
Tim (@TimothyJ_23) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Telstra Nope. 4G. Just everything grinds to a halt. Slow to load at Halftime break. I understand load increases at those times when lots of people are on their phones but it seems telstra is the only network that really struggles here.

Tania (@taniadalts) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Telstra how does a pensioner go about applying for a concession on their plan? Can’t believe that my Dad has been a customer with you for years and didn’t know he was eligible for a concession. Shame on you

Dave Dawson (@demon_dave) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Foxtel changed to Murdoch’s Foxtel last week because it was supposed to be easier and cheaper than going through @Telstra , what a massive mistake, they never answer phones they’re the most inept bunch of corporate lackeys this side of @amazon

BILLY FOSTER PHOTOGRAPHY (@BillyFosterPics) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Teltsra @Telstra Wait your turn? A simple connection to broadband has taken 6 weeks, hours on the phone & the same conversation every single time. Your response is typical of the @Telstra Customer Service. Check the records and your total lack of professionalism in this response.

Johnny (@JohnnyLydon) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
This is my 5th message this year advising nbn co is doing running repairs on the lnp’s botched nbn. “Hi from Telstra. NBN Co are performing network updates in your area on 3 June 2022. Your internet service may be interrupted” - meantime it’s buffering & disconnects galore
-
Clare Murphy (@ClareAliceMurph) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
Anyone else hit by a @Telstra outage? My home internet’s been down since yesterday afternoon and there’s been no notification or estimate of when it will be restored. It’s also not showing up in the Telstra outage checker.
-
James Hutcheon (@hutcho66) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@taipan168 And Telstra only faces minimum service guarantees in a very small component of the business where they continue to hold assets that used to be owned by the government. That's shrinking over time as the NBN buys out the copper.

@level5apartment @mal2153 @MikeCarlton01 So what? Why is foreign ownersip a problem? The question was whether privatisation had ever worked. It clearly did in the case of telephony. Foreign participation in the Australian market is normal. No one makes you use Optus. You are welcome to use Australian privatised Telstra.

@OzraeliAvi Wow glad you’re thinking your rights are being protected, while I’m reading this thinking - F me what about my rights? A top cybersecurity expert..? Seriously WTF their unprotected Telstra mobile? Retort with intelligence not a cyberattack on an individual.

The worst customer service experience ever with @TheGoodGuysAU Preston store. We were given a deal on a fridge if I ported from Optus to @Telstra. Porting hasn't gone through and partial payment for the fridge already made but we have no update on when we will get it 1/7

@OzraeliAvi WOW the carrier network is Telstra! Huge news
-
Eric Demibee (@ericpink) reported
@simondotau @PRGuy17 This is no longer true, metadata retention laws came in years ago, also much of Telstra’s mobile network is IPv6 now. They compel Twitter to reveal the IP, then compel the telco to map the IP to the subscriber info.. that could still be a dead end if it’s a burner phone…

Gary Austin-Eames (@Gary_AE) reported
@Telstra Dear Jay, lost Internet again, had to reset modem, finally came back up. Checked app, no records of any faults ever being logged. 4g backup did not work on modem, makes for fun when working from home. Don't have time to discuss this now, just need someone to fix the bloody thing.
