@Telstra 5G internet has been down most of the day in Lennox Head (2478) - when will it be back up and why does it always go down when we get heavy rain!!???

  • raywilton4 Ray Wilton (@raywilton4) reported from Lennox Head, State of New South Wales

@lachiemc64 I’m told we’ve no choice now FRAUDBAND is in our area. So much for lnp’s free market bullshit. Only when it suits their greedy parasitic mates. ADSL, though slow, never drops out although I note Telstra will still charge like the “Light Brigade” to fix the loose copper to my home

@Gergyl Not just Optus have weak ICT. Consulting to @Telstra and their eCom LOLO was poorly performing. Wanted server upgrade, but I blamed code. Team uncoop, so logged into Oracle to pull stats (guessed admin pswd: "changeoninstall"). Cache miniscule, no stmt reuse. Took a year to fix.

  • McShayne2011 ً (@McShayne2011) reported

@drvyom 1. Someone calls your telco: "Hi Telstra/Amaysim etc, I lost my phone. But I got a new sim, can you transfer my number?" "no problem, let me just get a few details from you .." 2. They then go to your online bank etc: 'Forgot your password? Let us sms you a new one ..." Bingo.

  • rima_zabaneh RZ (@rima_zabaneh) reported

@mjrowland68 @BreakfastNews I’m still under contract with Optus for another 15 months, they did not keep their side of the deal by keeping my info safe, why should I keep my end of the deal. Also I moved recently to Optus because of the shocking service I had with Telstra. Can’t win

  • johnyjam3s JohnyJ@m3s (@johnyjam3s) reported

@not_aldous @RichardKGrump @TPG_Telecom I have exactly the same and have never been let down by Amaysim or Aussie Broadband in the past 4 years I’ve used their services. I previously was with Telstra and they were abysmal so much so that even today when I see their ads, I feel angered.

  • KatieHa79810311 Katie Harrison 🌈 (@KatieHa79810311) reported

@SallyLawry To be fair, the ceo recently changed, and clearly this was an issue that was created and maintained well prior to that change. But what did the new one do 2 address it? I don't know. Telstra has been actively selling their customers data for decades... so they are just as bad.

  • beigewash ☮️ beigewash - PREFERENCES DID MATTER (@beigewash) reported

@brettk351 @noplaceforsheep Don't think that would help. Telstra would love that. Australia only has a handful of companies that OWN & maintain telecommunications infrastructure hardware. Most telecom companies are RESELLERS using their infrastructure hardware.

  • eddielechat Nelle 🏝🌋🏄🍹 (@eddielechat) reported

@dboyrees @RichardKGrump @TPG_Telecom They are, so sometimes signal in rural areas is patchy, but compared to Telstra with whom I struggled to get a signal in my outer Melbourne metro kitchen, they’re better!

  • madwixxy Peter Wicks (@madwixxy) reported

@charleyb2355 @Optus @Telstra And there in lies the issue, it should be illegal to store rather than a legal requirement to store

  • Gordana8888 Gordana (@Gordana8888) reported

@Telstra Coming up to 48hours and still unable make or receive calls. My neighbour is also with Telstra but they are having no problems. Who are you within the Telstra organisation?

  • jedibrooker Christian Brooker (@jedibrooker) reported

@independentaus @paulbudde Nope. The problem with the NBN is that it relies on old, neglected copper infrastructure owned by Telstra which should never have been privatised in the first place. The govt needs to pick up the slack and lay fibre everywhere directly to everyone’s homes.
