@Telstra 5G internet has been down most of the day in Lennox Head (2478) - when will it be back up and why does it always go down when we get heavy rain!!???

  • raywilton4 Ray Wilton (@raywilton4) reported from Lennox Head, State of New South Wales

@lachiemc64 I’m told we’ve no choice now FRAUDBAND is in our area. So much for lnp’s free market bullshit. Only when it suits their greedy parasitic mates. ADSL, though slow, never drops out although I note Telstra will still charge like the “Light Brigade” to fix the loose copper to my home

Well done, Telstra. Pay phones are now free! Let’s hope other big corporations will be inspired to take initiatives to help people.

@XboxANZ They wouldn’t even do a credit check until I was a customer for 6 months, when I signed up for month to month plan trying to get series x pre order to arrive this month from Telstra. This latest issue is being added to a lawsuit. Thanks for your replies

  • Nowun6 💧Nowun🐀 (@Nowun6) reported

@jrisles @CaseyBriggs I only went with them because of an old Foxtel cable into my house and at the time I was on ADSL that was very slow and getting slower. There was no NBN in my area yet. I could get really fast internet via cable, but only through Telstra. It worked well until lightning strike.

@Browne90 @Telstra What. Essential services for free? Could never work. Much better to give that money to Gerry Harvey

  • LSDNinja Ian Weber (@LSDNinja) reported

@PerfectStormo @DavidHRobb Telstra turned a bunch of theirs in to wifi access points, but I’m not 100% clear on how that service works.

  • jojoeyjo9 J🍩 (@jojoeyjo9) reported

That Telstra making pay phones free story with the narrative that they’re important during disasters, made me think of any locally. They’ve removed all but one and it’s always broken🙄

  • carbonNRG Jeff N (@carbonNRG) reported

@Telstra @jimmyrees Brilliant idea, well done Telstra, I’m sure this will be a massive help particularly to the vulnerable

  • bigbadgus_ big gus (@bigbadgus_) reported

@Telstra, australia’s leading telco has told me to find a new mobile provider after telling me that my 0.8mbps download speeds on a 5g network are caused by high traffic. multiple calls and conversations/ escalations. pathetic that they still take no ownership.

  • SydneyCityTV SydneyCityTV (@SydneyCityTV) reported

Arguably this is something Telstra should've done years ago, but better late than never I guess. I also hope you could've freely made calls for the most vital of emergency numbers (Triple Zero, SES, the major crisis support services) from a Telstra payphone well before today...

  • PerfectStormo Tim Norman Like A Dragon (@PerfectStormo) reported

@LSDNinja @DavidHRobb You log in with your existing Telstra account and it works. Their NBN modems form part of that network as well.
