@Telstra - after being told I would only wait 6 mins, ended up waiting for an hour and someone answered and just hung up on me. Thanks for that. The recurring voice mail advice of going to Telstra/fix is pointless when the issue is my internet connection.

"Keep your number or get a new one You can choose to keep your existing number or get a new one assigned to you in the online checkout." Nope wasted 3.5 hours with this. I with @Telstra wasn't the only service that covers majority of the Kimberley. I'd certainly be changing.

@MFWitches Way back in old days of Telstra when it was called Telecom and was the only service provider. There was no internet so no electronic banking. If you paid in cash, you’d better make sure you had a receipt and kept it for years or they’d cut your phone off. They were bastards

@Telstra Thanks Glenn, that explains why the Telstra Outage page never shows that there’s a problem when there is. Good to know but kind of counter intuitive and less than useful at the time.
