Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Bellerive and nearby locations:

  • imo_weg Imogen Wegman (@imo_weg) reported from Hobart, State of Tasmania

@Telstra Having now left home to get to work, I seem to have data again - either it's been sorted in the last 15 mins or I'm on a different tower now. The boost outage link leads to the telstra outage page...

  • parisba Dr Paris (he/him) (@parisba) reported from Hobart, State of Tasmania

Right, cancelling my @Telstra account (which Telstra linked to a TIO complaint about an entirely unrelated prepaid SIM) has allowed them to refund me without validating my identity against the unrelated account. Great success!

  • parisba Dr Paris (he/him) (@parisba) reported from Hobart, State of Tasmania

Somehow @Telstra event messes things up when I’m no longer a customer.

  • parisba Dr Paris (he/him) (@parisba) reported from Hobart, State of Tasmania

@up_banking trying to get a refund out of Telstra into my Up account via BSB/account number, but they claim the BSB is incorrect (even if they look under Bendigo etc.) Not explicitly your problem, but any ideas?

  • myknittingwool myknittingwool (@myknittingwool) reported from Hobart, State of Tasmania

  • The_McJones Tim McJones (@The_McJones) reported from Hobart, State of Tasmania

@JeanLeggett I don’t know of any that “just work” in both countries but I know both Vodafone AU and Telstra (Australia telecoms) have roaming support for NZ but that is like an addition $5-10 per day.

  • leah_galvin Leah Galvin 🍎🍒🥑🥦🥕🌽🌰🍓🧀 (@leah_galvin) reported from Hobart, State of Tasmania

Wow an NBN outage down till Sunday 6th October!!! It's school holidays and teenagers are struggling. Oh books and outside look good @Telstra

  • imo_weg Imogen Wegman (@imo_weg) reported from Hobart, State of Tasmania

@Telstra I'll be in the South Hobart area most of the day but hopefully not in the area that's not working - there are others on the community Facebook saying their mobile reception is also out. Probably is an ongoing issue that needs checking.

  • VZH_7 VZH 7 (@VZH_7) reported from Hobart, State of Tasmania

  • leah_galvin Leah Galvin 🍎🍒🥑🥦🥕🌽🌰🍓🧀 (@leah_galvin) reported from Hobart, State of Tasmania

@digitaltasmania @Telstra Allens Rivulet. Has been down since yesterday and patchy for several days before. We rely on it heavily as we get our phone, internet and Wi-Fi calling on our mobiles through it. We live in a black spot so can not be contacted at home till it is restored.

  • astir0412 💧John (@astir0412) reported from Margate, State of Tasmania

@D_Melissa2 I'm not sure what Foxtel play is. I haven't seen it. Maybe the problem is with Telstra.

  • CountessAu 💧Countess of Taswegia 🍸 (@CountessAu) reported from Hobart, State of Tasmania

@Internode I'm not going to spend over an hour on the phone doing the same things for the same result which is dodgy connection and the THIRD dud #FetchTV box you've sent me. I'm lodging a formal complaint with #TCO tomorrow then moving over to Telstra.

  • She_Noob_ SheNoob 🇦🇺🏳️‍🌈 | Bad Luck Charms 😏 (@She_Noob_) reported from Hobart, State of Tasmania

Well I think I'll be staying with Telstra after all, after the garbage customer service I've received from @Optus this week. #notimpressed As a customer service rep myself, I know the value of good service. That ain't it, chief.

  • annbag2 💧Ann Sproule🔥 (@annbag2) reported from Hobart, State of Tasmania

Hey @Telstra. My account restrictions were supposed to be fixed within two hrs. Three hours later and 30 f'n years of poor service don't hold well for me. If I did this to my clients they would go elsewhere. As will I. Finally.

  • lowroader Scott Plimpton (@lowroader) reported from Hobart, State of Tasmania

@jriewolod @helenshield @Telstra Wow. Still, this is the same company that got done for shamelessly ripping off vulnerable first nations people with terrible mobile plans.

  • annbag2 Ann Sproule🌏🔥💧😷 (@annbag2) reported from Hobart, State of Tasmania

FMD @Telstra decades of sticking with you. Internet down since Sunday. Your messenging assist is hopeless. 7+ users.on my account and I get cut off waiting for assistance.

Telstra Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • nqwatcher Shorty (@nqwatcher) reported

@dutchnstormy @Telstra Cheers Stormy, they're all pretty similar it seems. I'm finding some good options about. Onshore support would be nice.

  • DaleReardon Dale Reardon (@DaleReardon) reported

@duellsy @Telstra Telstra - surely the protections of SPF DKIM & DMARC from email verifications could fairly easily be modified for phone numbers & block any sender telco who doesn't require ownership proof when sending texts from your network

  • everyday_vet JS (@everyday_vet) reported

@_Willo_ lodge online. It costs Telstra to deal with the complaint, so they’ll try to resolve it early. I think it’s $500 straight up for them to liaise with the ombudsman’s office. It goes up dramatically if they are found at fault. Telstra have their internal team that will contact you

  • WardenAJames Andrew James (@WardenAJames) reported

.@Telstra I've just noticed my monthly bill for unlimited internet is going up by $5 a month soon. Not to be rude, but with the steady progress of technology shouldn't this price be gradually coming down? What gives?

  • Byron_Shaw Byron Shaw 🇦🇺🌏🇵🇬 (@Byron_Shaw) reported

@Telstra Hi “Bek” I received a resolution - was to be enacted but Wednesday….. yet here we are…. Mixed messages, lake of understanding and care … how about you sort it “Bek”

  • CryptoChick369 CryptoChick369 (@CryptoChick369) reported

@ScottMorrisonMP @MarkMcGowanMP @7NewsPerth This is what our country has come to. So much for the great Aussie service ☹ Jobs should stay in Australia and not be out sourced to foreign countries. A business like Telstra should be owned and run by Australians

  • hetachan13 Raylene Li (@hetachan13) reported

Seriously I’d like to anonymously cancel all of Telstra’s lines since there in no need to check people’s identity anymore to do any transactions for your phone line!

  • rubyfreyja rubyfreyja (@rubyfreyja) reported

@Telstra Thx Angie. I called Telstra. It's half fixed. I was told to call back tomorrow for the rest of the fix. One problem usually ends up with multiple calls to fix the next group of bugs that comes from that first problem, it can never be just one simple fix. 🙄 90yo can't understand.

  • skwashd Dave Hall (@skwashd) reported

@LiamDel @auspost In so many ways you can tell AusPost and Telstra have the same roots. Poor, take it or leave it attitude to service, overpriced but know that often you don't have an alternative.

  • Phil98529731 Phil (@Phil98529731) reported

@consettfarming @Oscarthefarmer @gabriellechan Other “than” the ones Telstra sell you. The are simply an antenna that claim to amplify the signal from outside a building to inside the building. If the signal outside the building is poor, then Telstra’s Mobile Smart Antenna 4G will not improve your service.
