Very poor service from @Telstra so far. Very frustrating that they have not connected what they said they would connect.

@ABCaustralia @abc730 My elderly parents were coming up to the end of a nbn contract and decided cancel, so they went to the local telstra store. The staff somehow convinced my dad to sign up to a mobile broadband plan, which they don't need or want.

  • sarah_andros88 Xr globalised (@sarah_andros88) reported

Thats why my reception is never what my contract with telstra states ir is

@Malarndirri19 @AustralianLabor The arrogance of Telstra to treat anyone like this is abhorrent, but to treat more vulnerable people in this way is beyond abhorrent. Be ready to see an increase in your accounts to pay for their punishment. Wonder how many senior heads have rolled over this?

  • kittycati Elizabeth Simpson (@kittycati) reported

@ABCaustralia @abc730 I rang up Telstra and spoke to a staff member who could not understand what I wanted to cancel the new contract and have no internet only a phoneline. It took me to say “they don’t have a computer or even use the data on their mobile phones” for the person to get it & cancel it.

@lucethoughts This is a scam - has been for a few years. And very annoying with the constant bombardment of these calls. How is that Telstra / NBN cannot provide an effective blocking service for these type of scams? #auspol

  • annalise_webb ALLyourBASEareBELONGtoUS (@annalise_webb) reported

@lke73_historian When I was arguing with them my mum (who was visiting) was frightened and kept trying to give me money to pay, I said “NO it’s a matter of principle” - see how seniors often don’t question things? Telstra disgust me. I would never be their customer again.

  • funkyj FunkyJ (@funkyj) reported

It's awesome that Caitlyn and the financial aid workers managed to expose @Telstra, but this **** has been going on for decades. When I worked at a call centre for Telstra in 2011, they were in trouble then for doing the same thing. Stop fining them. Shut them down.

  • onewildpreclife Annie Wilson (@onewildpreclife) reported

@valeriekhoo @Telstra Oh no, Val. It’s unbelievably bad phone/message service for a COMMUNICATION company. I feel for the elderly and disabled dealing with this stress, when it’s bad enough for us.
