@jen_browning @Telstra This week there has been maintenance on the mobile network while the NBN has been at its worst. I have missed 2 meetings because of drop outs where on home net I can’t hear speakers move to mobile and get SOS only. Countless hours of the wheel of death while items are loading.

@Telstra Can I report a broken phone tower without spending an hour troubleshooting? Westfield Carousel Foodcourt McDonalds. Broken 3 week ago and today on 2 phones. Wifi off. Force 5G On = works. Force 4G = broken. Switch back and forth and keeps working/breaking. 5 bars signal.

@monsonflossy I’m sure they are doing a good service I’m not questioning that at all but on design terms the blame rests on Telstra a massive company with huge funds and resources and this is what they think is acceptable street furniture for the COS?

@jackbegbie @drkerrynphelps @Telstra I worked for Telstra years ago. One woman just built her home and had new grass laid. We were told to put her cable under her lawn she was stunned at the mess and started crying. The boss said it was her bad luck. I talked the higher boss into getting it re-turfed.

@jackbegbie @Telstra Telstra couldn't work with the council and do this before the final paving went down, they just realised they wanted this there????????

@christianharrup @cityofsydney @CloverMoore I’m all for good planning and well-designed phone boxes too, but don’t think blame rests on Telstra here. Those phone boxes, ugly or not, are an essential service to those w/out phones. Telstra are not designers. Good design management would consider that.

@Telstra Yeah $12k is a bit steep. I’d settle for FTTN that could provide the 25Mbps I’m paying a premium for. Other copper runs nearby are getting 100Mbps. You replaced 40 meters of copper and still couldn’t fix it.

@jackbegbie @drkerrynphelps @Telstra Yes this is awful, no pride in their work or the cities in which they operate.

@jackbegbie @Telstra Telstra don’t fix the pavement. The local council does. It’s an agreed process where Telstra pays the council to make it happen.

@Telstra @jackbegbie While you’re at it, there’s one of these in Norton St Leichhardt in an incredibly stupid location, blocking the footpath.
