    @jen_browning @Telstra This week they have been doing maintenance on the mobile network while the NBN has been at its worst. I have missed 2 meetings because of drop outs where I get SOS only when home wifi is not working to mobile and countless hours of the wheel of death while items are loading.

    @gabriellechan True. Still on ADSL here. No mobile phone access. Every flood/fire event (which is a lot the past few years), we lose power, which means no phone and no internet to call for help if needed. Telstra used to support backup where old style phone could be used, but no longer avail.

    @favfavalore I bought a new iPad from @Telstra with a data only plan..it arrived on Monday but it takes up to 7 days for the sim to be activated..how poor is that for service..luckily I run it off my wifi anyway..but it would have been too bad if the NBN went down and I needed the mobile!

    @cottonfarmgirl @gabriellechan @Sue0606 We live about 1km from Darwin hospital and don’t have reliable or consistent service. And there’s a bloody great Telstra tower around the corner.

    @cottonfarmgirl @gabriellechan @Sue0606 This is the dumbest of dumb questions. Does that tower “carry” your providers signal. We have similar experiences where a Telstra tower is in line of sight and 0 service on Telstra phone.

    @virgotweet Oh my gawd really? My nephew is a former telstra employee. We also have to actually believe telstra that it is only the poor employees. I have been worried that telstra would have been hacked as well. Again I'll say these companies demand way too much private information.

    @Telstra Broadband, but no patience left. I'm comparing plans and will probably switch to Starlink. Telstra has had a year's worth of multiple opportunities to rectify the problem. Cheers.
