@jen_browning @Telstra This week they have been doing maintenance on the mobile network while the NBN has been at its worst. I have missed 2 meetings because of drop outs where I get SOS only when home wifi is not working to mobile and countless hours of the wheel of death while items are loading.

@BazzaCC Telstra privatisation under John Howard has made it commercial driven. It would keep squeezing revenue from legacy copper network instead of spending cap-ex on new technology. That was stockbroker analysis before NBN. BTW Australian internet speed was in World top five in 1990s.

@CC68891975 Wow. Shocking. I'll find out this week. We're running something this week where I'll be able to speak to both nbn and Telstra reps and I'll ask about the area/region and also ask about general internet issues in the area. Piss poor.

@MCCCANM Starlink is sooo 2024. Any of these will work too: ASTS, ViaSat, NBN Sky Muster, TeleSat, SES S. A., OneWeb, Telstra, Project Kuiper, EchoStar Mobile, Hughes Network System, and Inmarsat.

@aussie_drunken @Sargon_of_Akkad Likely so, however it only occurred immediately after the announcement of these new laws being a possibility back at the start. Im with telstra mobile phone and my wireless nbn goes down with the optus towers, so I'm not sure how to avoid that other than VPN.

@Telstra nbn goes down right when the football preliminary starts. Down the whole match so far. Great service. Have to watch on my phone Great service....... not Still down in miami qld Guess your network can't handle finals times

@Telstra @SBSOnDemand Most people in my town won't watch SBS through @NBN_Australia fixed wireless because it won't stream properly between 6-9pm. So I am hoping mobile data will be more reliable. Someone should do something about the digital connectivity issues in regional Australia.

@Tank9999 @AustralianLabor The LNP party room hated the idea of the #NBN because it would hurt Telstra and show that selling it off as a single entity was stupid. And they had to try and protect foxtel from the streaming platforms. Turnbull invested his own money into fttp rollouts in Europe.

Why can’t you do anything right @telstra? I asked for a simple plan change - I’ve gone through “your nbn connection is broken” and now discovered you changed my home number. Your live chat is now telling me that numbers cannot be changed. Yet it’s changed!
