  @Telstra Thanks Tanasha, advised that I pay next bill incl the $15 fine & then seek a reimbursement. That is not acceptable & I refuse to waste further time over a @telstra error. The fine should not be charged in the first place - I alerted #Telstra to the issue!

  @djshaneday @Telstra Ordinarily no but knew wouldn’t be able 2 pay next bill on date, @telstra advise no ‘top-ups’ b4 them issuing bill so DD next option. Dutifully signed up, due date came, no debit at midnight, rang, told their fault, I had paid up, but ‘fined’ $15. Never,ever DD w @telstra peeps!

  @MargMcCrohon @jmil400 @gdgoz Remember how American Toe Cutter stopped by St Andrews and was nonplussed to hear prayers being offered to ask the Gov for help during Financial Crisis- returned to USA with Sol Whatsit (Telstra) with $$$ millions golden handshake, and received Wall St bank payout.

  @FinancialReview This is classic regulatory free riding. Why would anyone pay Telstra prices or why would Telstra keep investing billions in regional coverage if customers can buy the cheapest network then use Telstra whenever theirs fails? Emergency roaming makes sense. Forcing the company that built the better network to subsidise competitors who didn’t is how you eventually end up with nobody investing in the better network.

  Cheers, I certainly am interested in this. Definitely not normal to see Tesla software updates (multiple GBs) pushed over the cellular network. Am sure there must be some arrangement between Tesla and Telstra to minimise this, particularly with the volume of cars in the country now.

Thankfully my Bank locked my Acs but I have used the entire week changing drivers licence, Medicare ,etc. 2 x200 k trips to Phone Dr for cleaning. I knew I should hang up but they had every base covered. It has knocked my confidence.

Here is what actually moved markets this week 🧵👇 2/10 First, the big picture: US inflation cooled to 3.4%, sending the S&P 500 to another record close above 7,798. Back home, the RBA held the cash rate steady at 4.35% for the fourth meeting in a row. Markets got the inflation numbers they wanted. Local reporting season, however, told a much more complicated story. 3/10 Commonwealth Bank delivered a massive $10.98 billion cash profit, with a full-year dividend of $5.05 per share. On paper, it looks like business as usual for Australia’s biggest lender. Under the hood, the pipeline tells a very different story. 4/10 CBA CEO Matt Comyn revealed mortgage applications dropped roughly 17% following the May federal budget tax changes on property investors. CSL, Pro Medicus, ResMed, and Cochlear all caught a bid in a single session. With commodity prices wobbling, fund managers are ditching cyclical resources and hunting for steady, reliable earnings. 8/10 Rubbish turned into gold this week. Cleanaway Waste Management surged 15% after global private equity giant EQT dropped a $9.4 billion takeover bid at $3.13 a share. That is a 32% premium. Cleanaway’s board opened the books for a nine-week due diligence period and plans to recommend the deal if it locks in. 9/10 The takeaway: Bank profits are riding high on yesterday’s loans, but higher rates and tax changes are biting the lending pipeline.   @susanmandrews RA seems to be taking quite a unique approach to the women’s rugby program. We have all been through it. Unless it is a significant issue which requires an apology eg Optus/Telstra outages, just put out a holding statement & some spin. RA is lucky not much media interest in rugby
