@PaulFletcherMP @NBN_Australia How many connections will be completed at no extra cost due to the degrading copper network? You know us customers now stuck on default #4G data because for some ‘unknown’ reason we’ve lost fixed line connectivity! @Telstra #LNP were warned, to little too late! #Auspol

  • bradhooperarch
Brad Hooper (@bradhooperarch) reported from Woodend, Victoria

@Telstra Thanks Tanasha, advised that I pay next bill incl the $15 fine & then seek a reimbursement. That is not acceptable & I refuse to waste further time over a @telstra error. The fine should not be charged in the first place - I alerted #Telstra to the issue!

  • bradhooperarch

@djshaneday @Telstra Ordinarily no but knew wouldn’t be able 2 pay next bill on date, @telstra advise no ‘top-ups’ b4 them issuing bill so DD next option. Dutifully signed up, due date came, no debit at midnight, rang, told their fault, I had paid up, but ‘fined’ $15. Never, ever DD w @telstra peeps!

@Telstra There is no ‘Accounts & billing’ selection available on the drop-down menu. So not much use. Thanks for trying though.

  • GrelisMichael
💦💧Mickledrippin’ (@GrelisMichael) reported from Romsey, Victoria

@MargMcCrohon @jmil400 @gdgoz Remember how American Toe Cutter stopped by St Andrews and was nonplussed to hear prayers being offered to ask the Gov for help during Financial Crisis- returned to USA with Sol Whatsit (Telstra) with $$$ millions golden handshake, and received Wall St bank payout.

    coolbanana321 (@coolbanana321) reported

@Telstra CEO of a entire company thinks she can just get away with a 'sorry, my bad'. Wheres the resignation, wheres the the accountability. A normal employee would've been fired over something like this.

  • MajorBlipvert
    Nigel Withers (@MajorBlipvert) reported

@VoteLewko Telstra is probably still carrying decades of tech debt. That old stuff has a bad habit of biting from time to time.

  • TsellSellersfam
    tsell (@TsellSellersfam) reported

@Deevitha_ Im happy with everything except the price its way too expensive. I signed up for the lowest amount i could havent even been signed up for a month and they put the price up just as bad as fkn telstra in that department.

  • jonwoodcroft
    John Woodcroft (@jonwoodcroft) reported

@sarahinthesen8 Sarah, thanks for conducting the Telstra Enquiry. I see two key issues I The equipment maintenance failure II The infrastructure configuration didn't confine the outage to one region or state. Infrastructure needs to be rebuilt so future outages are confined.

  • katiebecker16
    katie 🍞 (@katiebecker16) reported

@Kate3015 @Oz_Mocker Albanese also says that he and Telstra orchestrated the outage to help 16s stay off social media

  • jonwoodcroft
    John Woodcroft (@jonwoodcroft) reported

@sarahinthesen8 RE TELSTRA INQUIRY Just to reiterate: The widespread nature of the outage across all of Eastern Australia due to a single equipment failure is cause for concern. It suggests a reconfiguration of infrastructure is required so outages are regionally confined.

  • JohnYoung146083
    John Young (@JohnYoung146083) reported

@7NewsSydney Are @Telstra suggesting that all 3 network time servers were/are hosted in the same physical chassis? Seems fundamentally flawed? Also, do they not continually scan for vulnerabilities and end of service? @sarahinthesen8 something sounds fishy.

  • TasDevyl
    TassieDevyl (@TasDevyl) reported

@geerlingguy Bloody hell they were so focussed on profit they didn't bother upgrading their timeservers? Let's hear it for John Howard who decided to privatise Telstra to help cover up his Govt's. own dismal financial track record.

  • winsordobbin
    Winsor Dobbin (@winsordobbin) reported

Oh dear. @Telstra are a little slow. “Last week we let you down, and I am sorry for that.”
