Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Gisborne and nearby locations:

  • monicasmeow Monicasmeow🐈 (@monicasmeow) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@ShaunHodgins @AltoCarol @crownsfive1 @billshortenmp Yeah I don’t agree. One example, Telstra would never have been sold off. Telco infrastructure would have been maintained and upgraded. The NBN may not have been required and thus we would not have had to buy back and rent infrastructure that was previously owned by the tax payer

  • ajft crash-in-dirt-later (@ajft) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Ah the simple joy of stringing along the Indian accented "Anna Smith" from "the technical department of Telstra, your internet service provider". Made it to 4 minutes before she hung up on me. #telstra #remoteaccess #scam

  • rfc60 harry hoo (@rfc60) reported from Long Forest, State of Victoria

@Telstra has the worst customer service. “To stop the harassment of your 83 yo father in a Nursing Home we need to write up an official complaint otherwise it will be never ending”

  • alfalfasocial Stacey Murray (@alfalfasocial) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

    30. @Telstra sends a number of flippant, unhelpful and glib responses to this string. "Keep us in the loop" + "sorry you have not received the service you expect" + "understand your frustrations". S 31. Still no response to fast track request. 24-48 hours is now 6 days.

  • alfalfasocial Stacey Murray (@alfalfasocial) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

    6. @Telstra says cancel the order and reorder and all will be fine. 7. LOL only joking the say after two weeks. 8. @nbn digs up our nature strip and three of our neighbours' strips. Lays cable 9. Telstra attends and says NBN has done a shoddy job.

  • alfalfasocial Stacey Murray (@alfalfasocial) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@AttardMon @NBN_Australia Apparently not, Mon. We're in "transition phase" so although @NBN_Australia has responsibility for the infrastructure, @Telstra is still managing the service but has to defer to NBN for any works. As you can imagine, that works well.

With @ceda_news Director @mcam39, @telstra CEO @andy_penn predicts that the biggest inhibitor of future tech such as autonomous vehicles, will be regulation and issues around liability #futureofwork

  • OziBloke2009 Spike’s_Point_Of_View (@OziBloke2009) reported

@NBN_Australia @Telstra @FOXTEL_Help Please explain to me why 1. Scheduled network works are being done on Christmas Day. 2. Why we received a text 45 min into the scheduled work. 3. Why can’t you inform your paying customers prior to the scheduled work.

  • DocAU Scott Howard (@DocAU) reported

@Telstra So 4 days of outage and you don't even have an ETA for a fix?

  • Tweetn2You Blue»Tweety«Bird (@Tweetn2You) reported

@PressStartAU @Telstra There's more to optimising your Internet connection via PC, too, as you need to adjust stream buffers of NIC to stabilise connection + lower routing latency to outbound network with how efficient packet sizes are sent/received etc.

  • deeplongstop Deep Longstop 🐶🏏 🍻 (@deeplongstop) reported

@lynshields @Telstra Unreal, they did similar to me couple of years ago took 2 weeks for the 2min fix, hope they sort it ASAP 🤞

  • dontaskitsreal You’re not kidding?! (@dontaskitsreal) reported

@SquigglyRick Have you got the Telstra Smart modem that connects to 4G when NBN is down? I had dial up speeds w Telstra during peak times. Turns out my modem was old. If you don’t have it push for it or leave.

  • DocAU Scott Howard (@DocAU) reported

@Telstra Is there an ETA on fixing mobile coverage in Urunga, NSW? It's been down for 4 days...

  • thcairns thcairns (@thcairns) reported

@NBN_Australia Yes, it's been resolved. I moved to a different NBN provider who did the work they were supposed to do when they promised they would do it and we've been fine since. #telstra can go **** themselves, I will never use anything they sell again for as long as I live.

  • Ghost_Millk Ghost Milk (@Ghost_Millk) reported

@Telstra my parents have been without Landline since 15/12/20. There is no mobile phone reception in the area & ADSL Speed test of 12kbps. Called Telstra support several times & all they do is repeat the ETA with keeps increasing daily.

  • ThatsQuayQuay j! BLACK LIVES MATTER (@ThatsQuayQuay) reported

@PressStartAU @Telstra All the blinds go down, no distractions.

  • Terry_Aylett Terry Aylett (@Terry_Aylett) reported

@telstra is making it very easy for me to decide whether I should take my business to @Optus instead. I don’t even get the option of discussing my enquiry directly with a human being, their so-called customer service line just dumps me onto a messaging service. Pathetic.
