Credit where credit’s due.. less than a week after I tweeted @Telstra on behalf of my Dad, they’ve contacted him, fixed the situation & agreed to refund the hundreds of dollars he’s been left out of pocket. Shouldn’t happen to anyone.. but I appreciate the quick resolution!

@Telstra Years ago but I’ll do it again. Meanwhile, my 83yo father has no mobile phone contact and no landline as his home was destroyed. This is a rather urgent issue.

@Telstra Hi there, unfortunately after 10 years of good service from Telstra I’ve decided to move on. Just confirming if there are any fees involved in porting my number over to Optus. Would stay with Telstra if a bone was thrown but called earlier & they were happy to see me go.

@TheDanBarrett @JoeArruzza @WenleiMa @newscomauHQ With both Telstra and Fetch being OEM hardware they need to get permission from the company behind the units before any apps can be released. As Roku already have a app ready to go it should be easy to add it. Fetch on the other hand has no app and their app development is slow.
@JoeArruzza @WenleiMa @newscomauHQ @TheDanBarrett The issue with the Telstra TV, even though it is a Roku box, is it is locked down with custom software that is not from Roku. It could take months for the app to come to the box. Same goes with Fetch TV, and it's closed app development.
