@Dragon_Fancier @victorklineTNL No, privatisation is part of the problem: services drop. Its because Telstra was privatised that we ended up with worse internet than third world neighbours. The govt had to step in. The problem was the LNP replaced Labor's modern plan with outdated technology.

@brumby33 @Optus @Telstra Wow glad it’s not just here. Optus got worse like a few months ago. Never use to have an issue. I ring my mum a lot checking on her and sometimes I can’t even do that. It’s a joke

@crappypappy @Techmeme @an_leavy Depends what they mean by 'location'. I don't care if they know I'm in Australia, I don't care if they use my ISP data (which they have always had) to see which Telstra tower I'm getting signal from.

@EVERALDATLARGE Certainly Telstra, electricity, gas should never have been sold and I doubt the wisdom in allowing competition into the telecommunications market (Optus etc). CBA, QF, arguable if selling these was of benefit. QF has been ruined by incompetent mngt. CBA very successful.

@Telstra Remember when you could use a phone without your number being held hostage because its linked to everything on the internet and companys like yours charge a min $68 just to use its service. I remember when you just get a new $2 simcard and text everyone your new number
