  • ciedema Craig Iedema (@ciedema) reported

@simondotau @purlenko @OzraeliAvi Had Telstra rolled their V6 network to mobile devices in 2020? If Twitter has a V6 address recorded, they might be able to trace it to a particular subscriber.

  • ben14271032 ben (@ben14271032) reported

@simondotau @PRGuy17 But they have established three very important facts @PRGuy17 is indeed 1. a Telstra customer 2. uses an iphone phone 3. uses twitter... Rules me out.. Android / Vodafone. But the net is getting tighter you Telstra iPhone twitter users....

  • ericpink Eric Demibee (@ericpink) reported

@simondotau @PRGuy17 This is no longer true, metadata retention laws came in years ago, also much of Telstra’s mobile network is IPv6 now. They compel Twitter to reveal the IP, then compel the telco to map the IP to the subscriber info.. that could still be a dead end if it’s a burner phone…

  • BMHComic Thomas Benson (@BMHComic) reported

@PRGuy17 Quite off the subject, but, with this Telstra phone of yours, did you get those robo messages from idiot Clive during the election?

  • badhombre29 Albo Da Commy (@badhombre29) reported

@simondotau @PRGuy17 Why do you think Telstra won’t be compelled to hand over customer data if Twitter was?

  • Gieusahaggis1 Gieusahaggis (@Gieusahaggis1) reported

@ixrwork @Optus Telstra's chat line is the same. Each person says 'I'll pass you on to xxx, who has your details, so you don't have to repeat yourself. xxx comes on line and asks all the same questions. 🙄 Whoever runs that outfit has no idea about service. I should come out of retirement.

  • RCoops1978 Rob Bhai (@RCoops1978) reported

@innocent_abroad @mal2153 @MikeCarlton01 Telstra wasn't privatised for another 10 years after the entry of Optus So that is not a success of privatisation that is a success of deregulation Once we privatised Telstra the infrastructure turned to **** and the competition started to slide Nice try tho

  • PattersonGerard Gerard Patterson (@PattersonGerard) reported

@Telstra My wife is still waiting on a smart watch as part of a package she signed up for last year. No help from Telstra in redeeming it from Samsung, took our money though.
