Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales@Telstra hello telstra... how can I get ANY HELP! How long do I have to wait for my house to be connected? I bought it nearly 2 months ago! Requested connect before settlement! It’s a reconnect! Why no response? Why no customer focus?
-
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales@Telstra @malcolmconn Further they have created barriers to any customer being able to directly speak to anyone who MIGHT BE ABLE TO HELP!
-
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales@deeplongstop @Telstra The “web crap loop” seriously how does it ever help! Firstly what is “crowd support”? Is that where u rely on a devoted customer to solve your problems for u? Or is the logic that customers are stupid in th same way in large numbers and so repeat the same mistakes, so will share?
-
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales@Telstra @abc730 @4corners I wish someone would do some investigative journalism into exactly the extent TELSTRA has gone to isolate itself from the problems it has created! I have been waiting over a month for a service promised “a few days” ANDREW PENN is a fraud! Hapless
-
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales@andy_penn Can I suggest that until Telstra takes customer service seriously you are headed for bankruptcy! You can’t charge twice what competition charge for SAME product, AND have inferior (or in your case NONE) customer service! Why do u believe otherwise?
-
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales@andy_penn $tls is a doomed investment entity! It’s unsustainable to charge a higher price for an inferior product! Telstra’s special skill is to charge twice for the same nbn or phone line or even entertainment AND make it impossible for customers to get any customer assistance!
-
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales@Telstra TLS! CEO ANDREW (no idea) aka ANDY Penn-these guys have set up complete isolation because they KNOW the customers will be unhappy! Will want help, and they have ZERO intention of meeting their obligations or commitments! These guys are inept!
-
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales@andy_penn Telstra has put barriers in place to even the international help desks! Decimated and eliminated ALL AUSTRALIAN based help, what is the use of “crowd support” indeed wtf is it? And even the help desk is a bot! When finally u reach a person via text, the grammar’s unintelligible
-
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales@andy_penn Now I have someone dm me using Telstra cover asking for my Twitter login details! And still nobody phones me... unbelievable!
-
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales@Telstra @malcolmconn Did you know that Telstra has someone responding (with platitudes) to this public relations vehicle 24x7x365! Yet the technical team that would respond to an individual customer works only M-F 8-4pm !
-
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales@Telstra $tls is the most inept company in the world! Devoid of customer service, it has complete isolation from its customers because “they will only complain”! And complain because the service is ******!
-
-
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales@andy_penn And so Telstra has a PR help line manned 24x7x365 based in Australia (because it works) and the help desks are only M-F 9-5am Sydney time! AND DINT FORGET THEY CHARGE MORE than anyone else for this stupidity
-
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales@Telstra why have I been waiting more than 6 weeks for connection to a bigpond internet connection? Why is there no urgency or customer feedback? Telstra is hopeless!
-
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales@spannaforce @Telstra On my way out, I will help as many other Australians I can to rid themselves of the exorbitant priced, inferior service that Telstra now represents! They have become a blight on the Australian telecommunications horizon! Fallen a long way from their former glory!
-
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales@spannaforce @Telstra I have a house full of teenagers, and ineffectual internet! 6 weeks ago I applied to move my former service to my new house, earlier today they finally called and told me they had FORGOTTEN to connect me
-
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales@Telstra Telstra is an inept organisation, focused more on public relations that fixing its problems
-
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales@deeplongstop @Telstra The whole model is screwed! The “interface” is manned by people who only get paid for SELLING contracts! And so $tls Have tried to outsource their issues! That’s why the whole industry is so expensive as we pay for ***-sitting and expensive shop fronts! iiNet, tpg don’t have that
-
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales@FOXTEL_Help this service is idiotic! We have just gone thru the endless pathway to access our fox account to watch something on our Telstra tv and the ******* thing won’t work! Why must it be so hard! Are u trying to make @netflix or @Stan better options? They are easier!
Telstra Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Colin Ritchie (@ColinCleanEnery) reported@sydney_ev Telstra has been using batteries & solar on their relay stations for years. - they fail when overcast for 3 days. Farmers complain that they charge their Li-ion batteries and 3 months later when they need to use them, they have discharged. Just life

Brian Basson (@BassonBrain) reported🇦🇺Australia: @Starlink To Benefit From Telstra’s Dodgy Size Claims Industry data indicates strong growth in Starlink uptake, with retailers reporting a surge in demand and the service’s customer base in Australia doubling in 2025. One in five rural households that switched providers last year chose Starlink, according to market estimates. The shift reflects growing frustration among regional consumers, some of whom say Starlink offers more reliable performance at a lower cost than traditional telco plans. Telstra will be forced to cut back its advertised network coverage by around 1 million square km's following a regulatory crackdown on what the federal government has described as a “mess” of inconsistent and potentially misleading industry claims. Under new rules announced by Communications Minister Anika Wells, telcos must adopt stricter standards for how mobile coverage is measured and marketed—changes that directly impact Telstra, long known for promoting the scale of its network. The revisions will require the removal of an area roughly the size of New South Wales from Telstra’s coverage maps, raising questions about how accurately Australians have been informed about service availability, particularly in regional and remote areas. The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) will introduce a new four-tier system—Good, Moderate, Basic and No Coverage—based on whether a standard mobile phone can deliver a usable service, rather than simply detecting a signal.

Michael (@MSVLKnight) reported@PeterWMurphy1 In defence of telecomms in this country - Telstra has been obligated under the Universal Service Obligation to provide the first landline at a premises for the same price - regardless of location at the same price as the first line in a CBD. This does not apply to Vodafone...
-
M_a_r_ke (@Ma_rk_e) reported@IceStationSpmda @fag_daughter Telstra has been paid for decades to provide a payphone service it cost more to fix vandalism then Telstra collected in call revenue, it's simply cheaper to make it free
-

-
The Lord (@lord_tizza) reportedAnd Telstra support said it was a fault, after a hour and a half of trouble shooting. I checked NBN and looks like a service outage in our area - checked a couple of addresses in our road. How long do these usually take to resolve? I was looking forward to a good long weekend :(
-
****** (@Yarrahbunjyil) reported@AlboMP And if Telstra were repairing lines in the bush instead of letting them rot while they "roll-out the NBN", I might even take advantage of it. But they're not, so the Service Agreement isn't being honoured, the TIO won't do anything, & no one gives a damn. So thanks for nothing!
-
MalFPS (@MalFPS_) reported@OwlAims god damn. Yeah 50Mbps is like the basic norm for rural australia if you dont invest in a decent router and internet plan with a good provider (literally anybody but telstra lmfao)
