@spannaforce @Telstra On my way out, I will help as many other Australians I can to rid themselves of the exorbitant priced, inferior service that Telstra now represents! They have become a blight on the Australian telecommunications horizon! Fallen a long way from their former glory!

  • Qldstew
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales

@deeplongstop @Telstra $tls is slowly catching on, but won’t take the inevitable step of shutting down all their “shops” and replacing (re-instating) with accessible call centres! #andrewpennfailure endures!

  • Qldstew
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales

@Telstra @malcolmconn Further they have created barriers to any customer being able to directly speak to anyone who MIGHT BE ABLE TO HELP!

  • Qldstew
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales

    @Telstra help please

  • Qldstew
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales

@andy_penn Now I have someone dm me using Telstra cover asking for my Twitter login details! And still nobody phones me... unbelievable!

  • Qldstew
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales

@andy_penn And so Telstra has a PR help line manned 24x7x365 based in Australia (because it works) and the help desks are only M-F 9-5am Sydney time! AND DINT FORGET THEY CHARGE MORE than anyone else for this stupidity

  • Qldstew
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales

The pr dept is manned 24x7 (they will reply quickly) but the help desk doesn’t exist, and u simply can’t get access to any local technical help to fix your problems (EVER!) Telstra is ****** - SELL! The strategy is busted and incongruent with its situation! A recipe for doom

  • Qldstew
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales

@Telstra @abc730 @4corners I wish someone would do some investigative journalism into exactly the extent TELSTRA has gone to isolate itself from the problems it has created! I have been waiting over a month for a service promised “a few days” ANDREW PENN is a fraud! Hapless

  • Qldstew
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales

@spannaforce @Telstra I have a house full of teenagers, and ineffectual internet! 6 weeks ago I applied to move my former service to my new house, earlier today they finally called and told me they had FORGOTTEN to connect me

  • Qldstew
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales

@andy_penn Can I suggest that until Telstra takes customer service seriously you are headed for bankruptcy! You can’t charge twice what competition charge for SAME product, AND have inferior (or in your case NONE) customer service! Why do u believe otherwise?

  • Qldstew
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales

@andy_penn Telstra has put barriers in place to even the international help desks! Decimated and eliminated ALL AUSTRALIAN based help, what is the use of “crowd support” indeed wtf is it? And even the help desk is a bot! When finally u reach a person via text, the grammar’s unintelligible

  • Qldstew
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales

@Telstra BOTS ARE NOT THE ANSWER! I applied to Telstra to establish a broadband at my new address before December 5! I now a month later have a house full of teenagers in a rainy day and no ******* internet! Why can Optus or vodaphone provide fast service, and Telstra not?

  • Qldstew
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales

@Telstra @malcolmconn Did you know that Telstra has someone responding (with platitudes) to this public relations vehicle 24x7x365! Yet the technical team that would respond to an individual customer works only M-F 8-4pm !

  • Qldstew
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales

@Telstra Telstra is an inept organisation, focused more on public relations that fixing its problems

  • Qldstew
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales

@spannaforce @Telstra I will! One of the remaining issues is the ownership of my email address! I am writing to the telecommunications minister! (I have already written to the ombudsman) the bigpond service is no better anymore, and is dearer! I ONLY STAY WHILE I MIGRATE my email

  • 476a803ed32c438
Peter Ison (@476a803ed32c438) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales

@Telstra no NBN connection and 4G extremely slow at Banora Point

  • Qldstew
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales

@Telstra why have I been waiting more than 6 weeks for connection to a bigpond internet connection? Why is there no urgency or customer feedback? Telstra is hopeless!

  • Qldstew
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales

@deeplongstop @Telstra The whole model is screwed! The “interface” is manned by people who only get paid for SELLING contracts! And so $tls Have tried to outsource their issues! That’s why the whole industry is so expensive as we pay for ***-sitting and expensive shop fronts! iiNet, tpg don’t have that

  • Qldstew
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales

@FOXTEL_Help this service is idiotic! We have just gone thru the endless pathway to access our fox account to watch something on our Telstra tv and the ******* thing won’t work! Why must it be so hard! Are u trying to make @netflix or @Stan better options? They are easier!

  • Qldstew
Bat’s (@Qldstew) reported from Tweed Heads, New South Wales

@Telstra I continue wait for this hopeless organisation to deliver their promises! I have been waiting now 6 weeks for internet to be connected to my house! No feedback, no response! And yesterday I get told “oh, it has been through provisioning yet” and when I ask wtf, silence!

Telstra Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • Biggy1883again
    Bighead1883 @henrykklemens.bsky.social (@Biggy1883again) reported

@Telstra Hi Ivan, people are not always home, hence why we ALL have mobile phones. Check Telstra history re Laverton. We do have an ongoing problem that gets patched numerous time per year. I do not get town slowness if I`m at/near a mine-site which has better internet speeds.

  • Phildecynic
    Lombok (@Phildecynic) reported

Telstra chief executive Vicki Brady took home $6.8 million last year – an 11 per cent increase, despite a fall in revenue at Australia’s largest telecommunications company in the year leading up to its disastrous nationwide outage last month. (AFR)

  • nharper021
    Neil Harper (@nharper021) reported

@AFL @Telstra This kid played well no issue with nomination. But AFL you are aware Billy Wilson is eligible yeah? There is absolutely no way he can put together a 10 week run like he has and not get a nomination

  • GainsMax168031
    GainsMax (@GainsMax168031) reported

@SkullSpeedDeal A family member of mine over a decade ago ran a Telstra phone store, it became top 3 in the entire state because of his leadership. Anyway, something happened, and he told me the 2nd in charge (Indian) backstabbed him and took over the main position. A year later, the store had hired a lot of Indians and ended up being the worst store in the state lol

  • itsrayfinkle
    Ray Finkle (@itsrayfinkle) reported

AusAlert cost ~$130 million to rollout. A 13x increase from the $10m initial budget. Here are the known costs and estimates: $10m Initial Planning Taskforce $60-70m Carrier access tolls (Telstra, Optus, TPG) $30m Security architecture & hardening $20-25m Foreign hardware + offshore managed services $5-10m Public awareness, testing & administration Want to know how each allocation is spent? Too bad. Contractors and government use "Commercial-in-Confidence" clauses to keep specific commercial margins and costs hidden from the public eye. A 1300% blowout with no accountability.

  • jfwfreo
    Jonathan Wilson (@jfwfreo) reported

@immyonboard @Telstra If you are talking about NBN, there are many choices of ISPs that are superior to Telstra. If you need mobile, anyone on the Vodafone network is probably the best (seems to be the most reliable of the 3 networks)

  • shazzadut
    Aussie Shazza (@shazzadut) reported

The sponsors of The Swans need to withdraw their support, not just mumble platitudes about how terrible and serious it is. @Telstra and @QBE . Note that the players apologised to almost everyone in the world EXCEPT the women they assaulted. Speaks volumes.

  • roberts_pa97578
    Bobby (@roberts_pa97578) reported

@w0tn0t2201 @Telstra I’m the same as you. I’ve never used Telstra and I wouldn’t even use them if they were given away free carrier pigeons.

  • Dabatsau
    Paddy (@Dabatsau) reported

@cookyourgarden @valuetainment They dont have lowband spectrum in Australia (nor in the US) without doing a deal with existing providers (Telstra & Optus) so dont get your hopes up. The spectrum they do have is mid band and would require phone manufacturers to support it, also needs a clear path to the sky to work.

  • afraid_au
    afraid_au (@afraid_au) reported

@AirsKeaton Nothing yet, I've tried contacting Telstra but because I'm not a Telstra customer they won't even talk to me.
